What an utterly shameful day to be an Australian. As of today, any doctor, healthcare worker or member of staff working at Nauru, Manus Island and other detention centres who reports on child abuse, sexual assault or other forms of human degradation is breaking the law and can be imprisoned for up to two years. This is our government, Australia. Likewise, Labor don't have much to say about it. Bravely, a long list of medical workers are defying the edict, speaking out anyway in this open letter, challenging the government to prosecute them. (note: the artist for this image is Visualante.)
