whinge, whinge, say no more...Deputy Opposition Leader Julie Bishop says the announcement is a betrayal of trust for the Australian people. "This represents a fundamental breach of an election promise that the Prime Minister gave solemnly to the Australian people on the eve of the last election," she said. "She said there would be no carbon price, no carbon tax under any government that she led. "She has broken the trust the Australian people put in her at the last election. "It's another example of the Labor Party being in government, but the Greens being in power." AgForce spokesman Drew Wagner says farmers want more detail on the carbon plan and its likely effect on producers. "The reality is that whatever scheme comes in, production systems will wear the cost of anything that's fuel-related, energy-related or otherwise, everything to even our fertiliser usage will be felt with the tax," he said. "So whilst our emissions won't be directly covered, the impost of a trading scheme or operating in a carbon constrained economy still will be felt."

whingeing Abbott, say no more...
JULIA Gillard's announcement of a fixed cost attached to carbon pollution was "an utter betrayal of the Australian people" as the Prime Minister had previously ruled out a carbon tax, Opposition Leader Tony Abbott said today.
Mr Abbott said the "price of this betrayal will be paid every day by every Australian," claiming $300 a year will be added to household electricity bills, and a 6.5 cents a litre rise in petrol prices.
"We will fight this tax every second of every hour of every day of every month. I think there will be a people's revolt against this tax," he said.
"I think the Australian public will see this as an assault on their standard of living," he said.

Yes Tony... It's a pity you have understood nothing yet... The next catastrophes brought on by global warming will reduce standards of living far more than a small step in the right direction to try and reduce carbon emissions... The links between carbon emissions and global warming are not speculative. They are scientific enough to let us know we are heading towards a crunch — a crunch more rapid than most previous "natural" crunches on this planet. As metioned before, it is criminal — and fraudulent — to let believe people that an increase of 2ppm of CO2 per annum due to human activity (as presently measured) will have (and has) no effect in the behaviour of the atmosphere. This is catholic hypocritical dreamland!
We need you to wake up to the reality of science — away from those (even scientists) who profit from producing CO2... We can only hope... Stop grandstanding about being hollier than crap. Global warming is not crap and presently (measured) is induced by human activity. Global warming is REAL.
I am getting annoyed beyond the pale with the deniers...
remember the rattuses...
Mr Abbott said Ms Gillard's decision to put a price on carbon was a historic betrayal of the Australian people.

"Nothing is more fake than making a promise to the Australian people before an election and breaking it after the election,"... said The Little Rattus remembering fondly with an affectionate tear in his eye, when his spiritual father, Rattus the First, announced with gravitas "never ever" about the GST... to plonk it on Aussie tables "ever ever" since.
Here, dealing with one of the most important issue of our time, the little shit is foaming at the mouth...
Remember too that Rattus the First was "eager" to introduce a "climate change policy" which the following Labor government then re-negotiated with Malcolm the debonair.... Then when Tony-the-Crap came along, all common-sense went down the crapper... Including Malcolm's who now follows the crap rather than his own common-sense...
I write here with authority, and any of you rightwing ratbag whimps should discuss global warming with me properly...
