biden's bid...

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - Former Vice President Joe Biden would beat sitting President Donald Trump by seven points if he were to run for president in 2020, a new poll by Politico/ Morning Consult suggested on Tuesday.

A majority of US voters, 44 percent, said they would support Biden in the 2020 presidential election, while 37 percent of respondents said they would vote for Trump, the poll by Politico/ Morning Consult revealed.

Biden has not confirmed his intention to run for US presidency, but he has frequently hinted in interviews that he could throw his hat into the ring.

The former vice president has the overwhelming support of Democrats, with 80 percent of Democratic voters saying they would be willing to back him in the next election, according to the poll.

Trump's Approval Rating

Meanwhile, a report, recently presented by the Pew Research Center, says that President Donald Trump’s approval rating has not only remained stable during the first 18 months of his presidency, but surveys also reflect the biggest partisan gap in the history of modern polling.

Trump’s approval ratings have hardly moved in surveys conducted by Pew, and his June rating of 40 percent is nearly identical to the 39 percent who said they approved of his performance in February 2017, shortly after his inauguration, the report explained.

"There has also been a wider gap between Republicans’ and Democrats’ views of Trump than for any other US president in the modern era of polling," the report said.

The share of the public approving of Trump’s job performance is similar to the approval of Clinton (42 percent) or Reagan (44 percent) 18 months into their administrations, the report noted.

However, the 7 percent of Democrats who approve of Trump is lower than the 14 percent of Republicans who approved of O(bama)...

"washington survivor"

Ever since Donald Trump’s presidency hit the 500-day mark, the media have been speculating daily about the next presidential election. As we watch the ongoing reality show, Nov. 3, 2020 seems like it will be the final episode of a multi-year season of “Washington Survivor.”

Which Democrat will rise above the pack? A few weeks ago, CNN published its ranking of the Democrats most likely to be the nominee, based on polling and lessons from history. In reverse order of likelihood, as of the end of July, they are:

Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio;

Former New Orleans mayor Mitch Landrieu;

Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey;

Governor Steve Bullock of Montana;

Former attorney general Eric Holder;

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont;

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York;

Senator Kamala Harris of California;

Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts;

Former vice president Joe Biden.

did not trash trump soon enough...

Former Vice President Joe Biden Saturday night told the audience at the Human Rights Campaign’s National Dinner that he wished he trashed President Trump sooner.

“Barack and I agreed we would be quiet for the first year to let the new administration get up and running,” Biden said. “God forgive me,” he said, making the sign of the cross over his chest.

He also said he wished he had shown support for gay marriage earlier in his political career.

“It was very late. It was very late,” Biden said.

Biden, 75, said that when he sat down with “the team” for then Sen. Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign to discuss joining the ticket he agreed. “I would not affirmatively make the case [for gay marriage], but if I was asked, I would not remain silent,” he said.

In May 2012, Biden appeared on “Meet the Press” and signaled support for marriage equality, prompting Obama to do the same.

we're all indians...

As they say, history doesn’t repeat itself, but it does indeed rhyme. And so “Elizabeth Warren” rhymes with “Hillary Clinton”—at least in terms of the way they run presidential campaigns. That is, they both go heavy on data and metrics, and light on common sense.

Only a nerdy, screens-before-people mindset could have yielded Warren’s tone-deaf attempt to use DNA data to “prove” that she is a Native American. And then that same mindset manifested itself in an elaborate rollout plan: puffy kickoff article in her hometown newspaper, The Boston Globe? Check. Slick accompanying campaign video? Check. Copious supporting details on her website? Check.

Yet despite—or perhaps because of—all that planning, the whole thing blew up like the Hindenburg. Even friendly observers laughed at the argument that her being .09 percent Native American amounted to anything compelling. After all, according to a 2014 report in The New York Times, the average “European-American” is .18 percent Native American—that is, double Warren’s share—while African Americans and Hispanics have significantly more Native American ancestry. (As an aside, the average white American is .19 percent black, which is to say, if Warren can claim Native American status—a claim that undoubtedly spurred her academic career, no matter how many fawning Globe articles say otherwise—then most Americans could make the claim, too; indeed, they could also claim African-American status.)

The blowback against Warren’s genetics gambit was instantaneous—and ferocious. Most spectacularly, Cherokee Nation official Chuck Hoskin told CNN, “It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

machinery of empire...

Bread and circuses pacified the Roman masses while the emperors with their legions patrolled far borders to pacify barbarians who resisted joining the empire. Joe Biden updated this governing method at his presidential campaign launch rally in Philadelphia.

He offered a buffet of appetizing items to improve America’s education, infrastructure, health care and climate policies. He pledged to unite the nation and restore its soul and backbone. And he said not a word about the country’s ongoing and looming wars.

He looked abroad only to lament that Trump’s antics and his affections for “dictators and tyrants” like Putin and Kim “undermine our standing around the world.”

Silence about the wars allowed him to pretend their cost would never shrink or spoil the buffet selections he was dangling before the masses. But that’s a mirage.

Conjuring money (debt and “quantitative easing”) might pay for these wars and the huge military apparatus that backs them, at the risk of turning inflation into an enemy more menacing than the restive natives out on the imperial frontier. But what would it cost to pay with real money?

Machinery of Empire

If Google is truthful, the US has nearly 800 military bases abroad (UK, France, Russia combined have 30, China has 2). These range from isolated radar stations to Little Americas with shopping centers, bowling alleys, fast fooderies, beauty parlors, basketball and tennis courts, golf courses etc, besides the attached military operations. The uniformed personnel on all these bases and ships, plus inside the US, total about one and a quarter million, the reserves another eight hundred thousand. At sea or docked the Navy has almost 500 ships, including 11 aircraft carriers and 72 submarines. The Air Force wields over 5,000 military aircraft, over 400 intercontinental ballistic missiles, and 170 military satellites. The Army has about 6,000 Abrams Main Battle Tanks in service or storage, 6,700 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, many thousands of armored personnel carriers, countless (literally) tens of thousands of other vehicles, about 3,400 helicopters and 10,000 drones. The Marines field about 400 tanks, several thousand other fighting vehicles and 1,300 manned aircraft.

The Pentagon budget for these “defense” activities is running a bit over $700 billion a year. That doesn’t include the costs lodged in the Energy department for designing and building nuclear weapons and warship power reactors. Nor the Coast Guard’s 1,900 ships and boats, plus 200 aircraft, with 56,000 personnel. Nor the NSA’s cyber warfare skulduggery. Nor the CIA’s snoopery and secret war exploits. Add these expenses to the Pentagon’s and the true cost of policing and servicing the Empire probably totals about a trillion dollars per year.

Financing this with debt and sleight-of-hand money is as unsustainable as industrial society’s ecological practices. Trump has continued the long habit of ignoring all that. Under his rule the annual federal deficits are approaching a trillion dollars, and the accumulated total debt continues its dizzying ascent—now beyond twenty two trillion.

Caesar Hillary and Warrior Pete

Biden does the same as Trump. So do nearly all the announced Democratic presidential contestants. They close their eyes, jam their fingers in their ears and pretend not to notice that their devotion to waging the Empire’s wars also wages war upon their lavish promises about all the wondrous things they will do for the voters in the homeland.

This one mega lie of theirs makes Mr MAGA’s lesser lies by the thousands trivial in comparison. It is Trump University vastly expanded to the size of the federal budget.

They do this because they know that serving the Empire is part of the job description for president. Hillary made this explicit during an interview while waiting in the wings to take her turn on stage as Madam Commander in Chief.

She paraphrased Caesar’s famous summary of his attack on the Gauls: We came, we saw, we conquered. In response to a question about the sadistic death of Libyan president Gaddafi, a captured prisoner of US sponsored rebels during her tenure as secretary of state, she said: We came, we saw, he died—ha ha ha. Viewers of the YouTube video might differ about whether that ha ha ha was a hearty laugh or a fiendish cackle.

Unlike her, some of the Democratic presidential yearners now are actual war veterans, which will be one of their prime claims to White House worthiness. Among them Pete Buttigieg has, so far, made the most of this status.

He entered the race as Mayor Pete but is gradually transitioning toward Warrior Pete in his campaign rhetoric and imaging. A recent news report about Buttigieg in Iowa said he “talked up his service when calling for gun control. ‘I trained on these things,’ he said of assault-style weapons. ‘I know what they can do.’”  Photos circulate on the web of him posing in camo brandishing a big rifle with a gritty Afghan landscape behind. Expect them to eventually appear on billboards and in TV ads, perhaps with snarky commentary contrasting Warrior Pete and Draft Dodging Commander Bone Spur.

Many Trump Circuses, Scant Bread

Apart from military service, many of the Democratic questers could at least portray themselves as competent managers of the Empire, like Caesar. Buttigieg might add to that a cultured, literate Marcus Aurelius style. Trump seems to enjoy mimicking the pathological psycho bonkers manner of a Nero or Commodus.

This scarcely fazes his base, since they mostly remain steadfastly delighted with him acting as the avatar of their ire and grievance, without doing much else for them. That gives Trump an advantage over all his Democratic rivals.

fondly reminiscing about segregationist senators...

Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden is under fire for fondly reminiscing about his “civil” relationship with segregationist senators in the 1970s and 1980s. Speaking at a fundraiser at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City on Tuesday night, Biden expressed nostalgia for his relationship with the late Democratic pro- segregation Senators James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia. Biden reportedly said, “I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland. … He never called me 'boy'; he called me 'son.'” Biden went on to say, “A guy like Herman Talmadge, one of the meanest guys I ever knew, you go down the list of all these guys. Well, guess what. At least there was some civility. We got things done.” Biden was widely criticized by other Democratic presidential contenders, including Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Bill de Blasio. We speak with acclaimed writer Ta-Nehisi Coates about Joe Biden’s long record on the wrong side of civil rights legislation, from opposing busing in the 1970s to helping to fuel mass incarceration in 1990s. Coates says, “Joe Biden shouldn’t be president.”

cool about drugs...

Does Hunter Biden’s crack use humanize his father, or serve as another black mark in the ledger against the Democratic frontrunner? Mainstream media has put the spin machine into top gear as Joe Biden sinks in the polls.

Hunter, the youngest son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, has spilled his guts to the New Yorker, weaving a sordid tale of addiction, affairs, and alcoholism that the outlet has heroically tried to spin as a positive. After Joe Biden’s abysmal debate performance, the alleged frontrunner – whom even the New York Times has admitted has all the flaws of Hillary Clinton in 2016, plus the deadly “white male” factor – needs all the help he can get.

And the New Yorker has gamely tried to frame the younger Biden’s troubles as a plus for dad. It noted that most candidates are “relentlessly bland” but the former VP – whom mainstream media has been consistently calling the 2020 Democratic frontrunner since his campaign launch, despite a scandal-studded history that would sink multiple less-well-heeled candidates – has “responded to tragedy” and “learned from it.”

biden lies...

Former Vice President Biden has foolishly tried to claim that he immediately turned against the Iraq war after it started...

"Immediately, that moment it started, I came out against the war at that moment," Biden told NPR about the Iraq war.

As you can see, the problem with Biden’s claim is that it is clearly a false bit of revisionism on his part to minimize the damage that his vote for the 2002 AUMF is doing to his candidacy. His record shows that he repeatedly, publicly endorsed the invasion after it happened:

Months after the invasion began in 2003, Biden removed any doubt about his support for the effort, telling CNN: “I, for one, thought we should have gone in Iraq.”

At a hearing that July, he once more proclaimed his support, saying “I voted to go into Iraq, and I’d vote to do it again.”

And in a speech later than month, Biden acknowledged what “we have always known” about the war in Iraq, namely that troops “would have to stay there in large numbers for a long period of time.”

“Contrary to what some in my party might think, Iraq was a problem that had to be dealt with sooner rather than later,” he said. “So I commend the president. He was right to enforce the solemn commitments made by Saddam. If they were not enforced, what good would they be?”[bold mine-DL]

Biden’s vote to authorize the invasion of Iraq was very wrong, but it might be possible for a former war supporter to acknowledge error and explain what he learned from that terrible decision. Biden had the opportunity to say something like that in the first Democratic presidential debate earlier this year, but he blew it. The former vice president’s new claim that he turned into a war opponent overnight as soon as the war began is a self-serving lie, and it is all the more ridiculous because it is so easily exposed as false. The NPR report includes a damning quote from him in 2003:

“Nine months ago, I voted with my colleagues to give the president of the United States of America the authority to use force, and I would vote that way again today,” Biden said in a speech at the Brookings Institution on July 31, 2003. “It was a right vote then, and it’ll be a correct vote today.”

Before the war started, Biden thought that backing the invasion of Iraq would help him in his future presidential ambitions, and decades later he finds it expedient to pretend to have been against the war he voted for. Both the original vote and the recent lie about his position on the war reflect very poorly on Biden, and he has damaged himself more with his clumsy and inept attempt at damage control than he would have suffered if he had said nothing more about the war.

the fossil biden...

THE DAY AFTER Joe Biden participates in CNN’s climate forum in New York, the former vice president will head to a high-dollar fundraiser co-hosted by a founder of a fossil fuel company.

Andrew Goldman, a co-founder of Western LNG, a natural gas production company based in Houston, Texas, is co-hosting one of two high-dollar fundraisers Biden will attend in New York on Thursday. Western’s major project is a floating production facilityoff the northern coast of British Columbia designed to provide Canadian gas to markets in northeast Asia.

Goldman and Biden have deep ties: Goldman served as an adviser to Biden while he was in the Senate and was the northeast director of finance for Biden’s 2008 campaign. He’s also an executive at the investment banking firm Hildred Capital Partners. He and his partner at the firm, David Solomon, along with their wives Renee and Sarah, will host a private fundraiser for Biden at the Solomon house, CNBC reported. Goldman also co-founded De Cordova Goldman Capital Management, which invested in “natural resources and energy.”

According to the company’s website, Western deploys “innovative floating liquefaction technology at inland locations, specifically those that have existing pipeline access to natural gas basins.” The group says it’s “opening up markets for these resources, which are stranded behind burgeoning shale production.”

Biden’s climate plan sets a goal of getting the United States to 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. The plan cites human activity, including the burning of fossil fuels — like natural gas — as contributing to the greenhouse gas effect, exacerbating climate events, and playing a part in an overall increase in global temperature. Biden initially had proposed a “middle ground” on climate policy. His climate policy adviser, Heather Zichal, meanwhile, made more than a million dollars from a natural gas firm after leaving the Obama administration.

Neither Biden nor Western immediately responded to a request for comment.

time for biden to give up his presidential bid...

With the revelation by an intel community “whistleblower” that President Donald Trump, in a congratulatory call to the new president of Ukraine, pushed him repeatedly to investigate the Joe Biden family connection to Ukrainian corruption, the cry “Impeach!” is being heard anew in the land.

But revisiting how this latest scandal came about, and how it has begun to unfold, it is a good bet that the principal casualty could be the former vice president. Consider.

In May 2016, Joe Biden, as Barack Obama’s designated point man on Ukraine, flew to Kiev to inform President Petro Poroshenko that a billion-dollar U.S. loan guarantee had been approved to enable Kiev to continue to service its mammoth debt.

But, said Biden, the aid was conditional. There was a quid pro quo.

If Poroshenko’s regime did not fire its chief prosecutor in six hours, Biden would fly home and Ukraine would get no loan guarantee. Ukraine capitulated instantly, said Joe, reveling in his pro-consul role.

Yet left out of Biden’s drama about how he dropped the hammer on a corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor was this detail.

The prosecutor had been investigating Burisma Holdings, the biggest gas company in Ukraine. And right after the U.S.-backed coup that ousted the pro-Russian government in Kiev, and after Joe Biden had been given the lead on foreign aid for Ukraine, Burisma had installed on its board, at $50,000 a month, Hunter Biden, the son of the vice president.

Joe Biden claims that, though he was point man in the battle on corruption in Ukraine, he was unaware his son was raking in hundreds of thousands from one of the companies being investigated.

Said Joe on Saturday, “I have never spoken to my son about his various business dealings.”

Is this credible?

Trump and Rudy Giuliani suspect not, and in that July 25 phone call, Trump urged President Volodymyr Zelensky to reopen the investigation of Hunter Biden and Burisma.

The media insist there is no story here and the real scandal is that Trump pressed Zelensky to target his strongest 2020 rival. Worse, say Trump’s accusers, would be if the president conditioned the transfer of $250 million in approved military aid to Kiev on the new regime’s acceding to his demands.

The questions raised are several.

Is it wrong to make military aid to a friendly nation conditional on that country’s compliance with legitimate requests or demands of the United States? Is it illegitimate to ask a friendly government to look into what may be corrupt conduct by the son of a U.S. vice president?

Joe Biden has an even bigger problem: this issue has begun to dominate the news at an especially vulnerable moment for his campaign.

Biden’s stumbles and gaffes have already raised alarms among his followers and been seized upon by rivals such as Cory Booker, who has publicly suggested that the 76-year-old former vice president is losing it.

Biden’s lead in the polls also appears shakier with each month. Senator Elizabeth Warren has just taken a narrow lead in a Des Moines Register poll and crusading against Beltway corruption is central to her campaign.

“Too many politicians in both parties have convinced themselves that playing the money-for-influence game is the only way to get things done,” Warren told her massive rally in New York City. “No more business as usual. Let’s attack the corruption head on.”

Soon it will not only be Trump and Giuliani asking Biden questions about Ukraine, Burisma, and Hunter, but Democrats, too. Calls are rising for Biden’s son to be called to testify before congressional committees.

With Trump airing new charges daily, Biden will be asked to respond by his traveling press. The charges and the countercharges will become what the presidential campaign is all about. Bad news for Joe Biden.

Can he afford to spend weeks, perhaps months, answering for his son’s past schemes to enrich himself through connections to foreign regimes that seem less related to Hunter’s talents than his being the son of a former vice president and possible future president?

“Ukraine-gate” is the latest battle in the death struggle between the “deep state” and a president empowered by Middle America to go to Washington and break its grip on the national destiny.

Another issue is raised here—the matter of whistleblowers listening in to or receiving readouts of presidential conversations with foreign leaders and having the power to decide for themselves whether the president is violating his oath and needs to be reported to Congress.

Eisenhower discussed coups in Iran and Guatemala and the use of nuclear weapons in Korea and the Taiwan Strait. JFK, through brother Bobby, cut a secret deal with Khrushchev to move U.S. missiles out of Turkey six months after the Soviets removed their missiles from Cuba.

Who deputized bureaucratic whistleblowers to pass judgment on such conversations and tattle to Congress if they were offended?

In fact, as a detailed review of the evidence conducted by The Intercept in May showed, Biden’s intervention in Ukrainian affairs that year, when he successfully pressed Ukraine’s then-president to dismiss a chief prosecutor who had failed to pursue corruption investigations, was no secret and was widely praised by Ukrainian anti-corruption activists and international donors to the country.

The reason there is footage of Biden boasting about this intervention on stage at a public event in 2018 is that he knew he had nothing to hide.

Put simply, there is no evidence to support the conspiracy theory that Trump and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani want Ukraine to validate by opening an investigation. Still, it has become an article of faith among Trump supporters that Biden got the chief prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, dismissed to derail a corruption investigation of a Ukrainian firm his son was paid to advise.

But journalists at leading American news organizations — including CNN, the New York TimesPoliticoABC News, and MSNBC — have helped weaponize this disinformation by repeating the baseless smear over and over, without promptly and accurately conveying that Trump and Giuliani are lying about what the former vice president did in Ukraine. So lies and misinformation have been broadcast nationwide, reaching millions of people who will never read subsequent fact checks debunking them.

Question: what was Joe Biden's son doing in Ukraine?

Read:

....

One party investigating these allegations was the United Kingdom, because Zlochevsky had $23 million in a British bank account that UK officials believed has been laundered. Britain’s Serious Fraud Office froze that account, and shortly after Yanukovych left office in February 2014, sent a request to Ukrainian officials for documents it believed would help in prove its case. Following this request, the new Ukrainian government began its own investigation into Zlochevsky, looking into whether he embezzled public money.

In the midst of these troubles, Hunter Biden accepted a Burisma board seat, and was paid for his trouble, sometimes as much as $50,000 per month. It is unclear what he did for the company. Burisma said at the time that Biden — a lawyer — would be “in charge of” a legal unit. Biden told the New York Times in May 2019 that this was incorrect: “At no time was I in charge of the company’s legal affairs.”

Though none of this looks great for the Bidens, it is, unfortunately, routine business in Washington to hire the family members of powerful officials in hopes of gaining influence over public policy. For example, President Jimmy Carter’s brother, BillyPresident George W. Bush’s brother, Neil; and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s brothers, Tony and Hugh Rodham were all involved in business interests that once drew concern.

Now you know. This is capitalism at worse ("All the presidents family did it"). But this has also to do with the US support for the Nazis in Ukraine in order to displace the influence of Russia. One should see Trump refusal to pay the promised cash — as well as get info about the Biden saga for self-kicks — but to give a warming to the new president of Ukraine not to get too close to Moscow...

It appears The Intercept is covering its arse... "was widely praised by Ukrainian anti-corruption activists and international donors to the country" does sound like a fairy tale — when we know that the international "influencers" were sponsoring the Nazis in Ukraine. And who were the "Ukrainian anti-corruption activists"? And what would "international donors" expect in return — or were these guys purely altruistic.....?

forgetting his own biden words...?

Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden condemned President Trump’s comparison of the House impeachment against him as a “lynching” on Tuesday — but the former Vice President himself once used the same term when referencing the impeachment against former President Bill Clinton.

Hours after Trump made the characterization on Tuesday morning, Biden fired off a tweet of his own, saying “Impeachment is not ‘lynching,’ it is part of our Constitution.”

“Our country has a dark, shameful history with lynching, and to even think about making this comparison is abhorrent. It’s despicable.”

But in a 1998 CNN interview, Biden referred to the then-impending House impeachment probe against Clinton as a possible “partisan lynching.”

“Even if the President should be impeached, history is going to question whether or not this was just a partisan lynching or whether or not it was something that in fact met the standard, the very high bar, that was set by the founders as to what constituted an impeachable offense,” Biden told the network.

Clinton that year wound up being impeached by the House of Representative for lying under oath and obstruction of justice.

He remained in office as the Senate in 1999 acquitted him, and he served as commander in chief until his second term ended in 2001.

biden has become hackneyed to the point of ridicule...

By Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey

After years of Russophobic insolence and diatribes and after his family's recent history in Ukraine was exposed for all to see, it is crystal clear who and what Joe Biden is: in a word, unfit for office as POTUS. He should not take himself too seriously...

In constantly pressing the anti-Russia button, Biden is following a line which has become hackneyed to the point of ridicule. It is a line which is popular among those of his generation, growing up in the shadow of McCarthyism, those who belong to the yesteryear of international relations, whose generation created the hell-hole which is planet Earth today. They believe that if you want to control someone, all you have to do is to make her/him afraid. This involves creating ogres and monsters, non-existent enemies, creating a strong image of "them" to justify "us" and tell people that if they vote for you, then you will keep them safe and they can go back to their political slumberland drooling over a can of beer as they watch Barney belching on The Simpsons and curl up giggling. They then sidle up to the military-industrial complex and create hotspots to create conflict and sell weapons acting at the same time as a portal for the interests of the Lobbies, the BARFFS (Banking, Arms, eneRgy, Finance, Food, drugS).

Not surprisingly, Biden uses this approach, so popular among those who look for Reds under their Beds every night and who believe that 17 Russians were smarter than 300 million Americans at the last election. Soon he will be claiming that Russia is behind a massive campaign to discredit his candidacy for the Presidency.

In fact, Biden is perfectly capable of doing all that by himself. We are speaking of the man who went to Kiev to lecture the Ukrainian parliament on corruption, then lo and behold guess whose son suddenly finds himself as a bigwig in the Ukrainian energy scene? Like, what a coincidence. This, after the illegal Putsch which ousted the democratically elected President (Yanukovich) amid acts of terrorism (so often the modus operandi of the USA).

Here stands the man who has referred to Russia and its President in derogatory terms, with sheer insolence, scare-mongering, projecting lurid images without a shred of evidence. Perhaps he cannot remember the four-letter word, Iraq, with which his country is indelibly associated.

Perhaps Joe Biden cannot remember the shocking acts of torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq where people were subjected to medieval-style abuse after being detained without trial. Perhaps if he wants to disassociate himself from Iraq, then Joe Biden has forgotten the role his country played in Libya when he was Vice-President, sending the country with the highest Human Development Index in Africa back to the stone age, fragmented, dangerous, crawling with terrorists and hosting open slave markets.

Perhaps Joe Biden has forgotten the role the USA and its yapping chihuahuas have played in Syria, training, aiding and arming terrorists and then maybe he has forgotten the deplorable acts carried out by terrorist groups in this country, slicing the breasts off nuns before raping them, playing soccer with the heads of little girls who were raped before and after decapitation and after being forced to watch their parents being tortured to death.

So perhaps Joe Biden should mind his own (rude word) business, STFU, and realise that he reached his Peter's Principle of incompetence as number two to Barack Obama. Biden was not born to be a leader, he was not born to get anywhere near the Presidency because he has never had what it takes - one only has to see him floundering around on a stage being conceited, arrogant, rude and insolent. He is over his head, out of his depth. He is a has-been without ever having been.

Joe Biden, in short, is a confused, dangerous, Russophobic guttersnipe out of line with the hearts and minds of his people. Americans today want to be part of the international community, Americans today do not want wars and confrontation, they want peace, development, education in a globalised world of brothers and sisters. They want to embrace Russians, not glower at them through a sight of a gun.

Perhaps it is time Joe Biden did not take himself too seriously...

biden changes his mind for cash...

Greg Wilpert: Welcome to the Real News Network. I’m Greg Wilpert in Baltimore.

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign announced on Thursday that it is open to the formation of a so-called super PAC. That is, an independent political action committee that is allowed to raise unlimited donations from corporations, organizations, and individuals. As recently as last month, the Biden campaign had rejected the formation of a Biden for president super PAC. Early last year, Biden even claimed to have recommended to Senator Bernie Sanders not to allow the formation of a super PAC for Bernie’s campaign. Here’s what he said.

Joe Biden: I mean, I sat with Bernie. I’m the guy that told him you shouldn’t accept any money from a super PAC, because people can’t possibly trust you. How a middle class guy except if you … accept money. But here-

Greg Wilpert: So far, all major Democratic party candidates have rejected super PAC money for their campaigns. But just what does this mean that Biden is now willing to have a super PAC support his campaign? Joining me to discuss this issue is Norman Solomon. He’s cofounder of the national organization and national coordinator of rootsaction.org. Also, he’s the founder and executive director of the Institute for Public Accuracy. Thanks for joining us again, Norman.

Norman Solomon: Hey, thanks, Greg.

Greg Wilpert: So we can’t assume that everyone knows what a super PAC is. I briefly explained it in the introduction, but explain a little bit more to us what are they, where do they come from, and why is their involvement in politics an important issue?

Norman Solomon: Well, the bottom line is really, so to speak, is to quote what Biden just said. Super PACs mean that people can’t trust you. Of course, he’s not going to say that now, but the basic thing about super PACs is that they allow for unlimited contributions, and that is literally unlimited. It’s a door that has been opened up by the Supreme Court over the last several years with a couple of major decisions. And so it means that really millions and millions and tens of millions of dollars can very quickly pour into an entity that can do attack ads, and promotional ads, extensively independent from a campaign, but really the faucet has been opened and big money can pour in.

Greg Wilpert: Now, the Biden campaign justified their openness to Biden’s super PAC by saying that Biden has become a particularly large target for the Trump campaign because he is the front runner. Actually, several recent opinion polls show that Elizabeth Warren has overtaken Biden in the past month, which perhaps could be attributed to the Trump attacks. Also, the fact that Trump tried to get the Ukraine to investigate Biden and his son show that he’s indeed Trump’s main target. What do you make of this argument as a justification for Biden allowing the formation of a super PAC?

Norman Solomon: Well, for one thing, I think the major factor for why Biden has gradually been falling in the polls is by the way that he campaigns and speaks and contradictions in his claims versus his record. And those contradictions are very much played out in his current effort to rationalize taking huge money or accepting the huge money going into super PACs on behalf of his campaign. The reality is, the real reason is that he’s an AstroTurf candidate. He’s up against two grassroots candidates, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, who are not accepting money from super PACs, are not getting big bucks from corporate CEOs and hedge fund managers and so forth.

And in contrast to Warren and Sanders, when Biden goes out to try and get money from the grassroots online and so forth, there’s not much to be gotten because people are not enthusiastic about him. As I say, as an AstroTurf, the candidates need to be continually remanufactured and have the money pouring into the assembly line of mythology about him and naturally, his campaign budget. And so he’s out of luck right now compared to Warren and Sanders who each raised about $25 million in the last quarter, overwhelmingly in small amounts.

He collected only 15 million in that quarter in much higher, bigger chunks and now more tellingly, has at the end of the last quarter, only $9 million in the bank. Whereas Bernie Sanders for instance, has more than 30 million. So I think part of the explanation is that Biden’s campaign is now in panic mode because they know, especially because they are AstroTurf, that they’re going to need a lot of money to try to overwhelm the grassroots support that Warren and Sanders have. And so they’re really out of options.

So the clip you just played from January last year on the PBS NewsHour where Biden said, “Well, there shouldn’t be acceptance of super PAC money cause then people can’t trust you.” Now he’s got to eat that. He certainly knows, his tacticians know that that soundbite is going to come back to haunt him. But he’s really out of other options, because unless he can more overtly depend on and solicit and be helped by the big corporate interests in the country, his campaign would just run out of sufficient money to keep a viable campaign going through the primary and caucus states.

Greg Wilpert: Now, assuming that these super PACs raise enough money to really compensate for the lack of grassroots fundraising, do you think that they’ll be able to make a difference and actually drive Biden’s campaign forward? That he could eventually become the nominee?

Norman Solomon: Oh, I think he definitely has a real shot at it, whether we consider him or Warren according to the polls to be front runner. The fact is that his biggest base is the billionaires and the multi-multi-multimillionaires who do not like Trump and want a corporate Democrat to be the nominee. And the other crucial base and constituency that Biden has is the corporate media, which increasingly are attacking Elizabeth Warren as she has gained in the polls, have always been hostile to Bernie Sanders.

And so for Biden he has those assets, the deep pockets that now will be coming forth with large contributions to his campaign or on behalf of his candidacy through super PACs. Five figures, potentially six figures. That is a reality. He can depend on that. And then also corporate media which for their own interests in terms of profiteering and the strength of Wall Street and not challenging basic income inequality in this country. Corporate capitalism is rushing to Joe Biden’s defense and support, and as of the last couple of days, we now know Joe Biden is overtly welcoming and appreciating them with open arms through super PACs.

Greg Wilpert: Okay. Well, we’re going to continue to follow this of course, but we’ll leave it there for now. I was speaking to Norman Solomon, cofounder and national coordinator of rootsaction.org. Thanks again, Norman, for having joined us today.

Norman Solomon: Thank you, Greg.

Greg Wilpert: And thank you for joining The Real News Network.

It's time for Biden to abandon his quest....

Meanwhile:

Democratic front-runner Joe Biden was reportedly denied communion by a priest at a South Carolina Catholic church over the weekend.

Biden, a lifelong Catholic, stopped by Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Florence on Sunday, but was denied Holy Communion by Father Robert E. Morey, local newspaper the South Carolina Morning News reported.

“Sadly, this past Sunday, I had to refuse Holy Communion to former Vice President Joe Biden,” Father Morey told the newspaper in a statement.

“Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church. Our actions should reflect that. Any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching.”

“I will keep Mr. Biden in my prayers,” Morey said in the statement.

The Biden campaign did not return a request for comment on Monday night.

biden's social security toilet views...

AS EARLY AS 1984 and as recently as 2018, former Vice President Joe Biden called for cuts to Social Security in the name of saving the program and balancing the federal budget. Last week, Sen. Bernie Sanders highlighted Biden’s record on Social Security in prosecuting the case that Biden isn’t the most electable candidate. The issue could be raised again in Tuesday night’s debate.

After a Sanders campaign newsletter continued the attack on Biden’s Social Security record, the Biden campaign complained to fact-checkers at Politifact that his comments were being taken out of context. Placed in context, however, Biden’s record on Social Security is far worse than one offhand remark. Indeed, Biden has been advocating for cuts to Social Security for roughly 40 years.

And after a Republican wave swept Congress in 1994, Biden’s support for cutting Social Security, and his general advocacy for budget austerity, made him a leading combatant in the centrist-wing battle against the party’s retreating liberals in the 1980s and ’90s.

“When I argued that we should freeze federal spending, I meant Social Security as well,” he told the Senate in 1995. “I meant Medicare and Medicaid. I meant veterans’ benefits. I meant every single solitary thing in the government. And I not only tried it once, I tried it twice, I tried it a third time, and I tried it a fourth time.” (A freeze would have reduced the amount that would be paid out, cutting the program’s benefit.)

clean as a whistle...

It is obvious that Joe Biden has not much room to move. Should he become President of the USA, he can cover his "corrupt" activities in Ukraine. And this is possibly why he placed his hat in the ring. But he has to know he has little chance of getting there. But, by trying to become President, he acts as if he was ever so clean fighting "the cancer of corruption" while having got payola back by supporting Poroshenko.

Biden demanded that Poroshenko sacked prosecutor Shokin...:

"if the prosecutor is not fired you’re not getting the money. Well son of a bitch, he got fired."

The take here is that Shokin "was not doing his job"... But this is not the truth... or is it?.

According to UkraineGate, Shokin was getting too close to the Biden's cash cow in Ukraine... and thus to the hold the USA had over Ukraine through Poroshenko...

One very telling element of all this is that Wikileaks had revealed official US documents telling that Poroshenko, the "chocolate king", was extremely corrupt — as early as 2004. As an aside, this is one of the many reasons why the USA, the UK and most Western countries want to get rid of "Doctor" Wikileaks — Assange. He tells the truth. The truth is the enemy of conquests.

So Joe Biden lauds his mate Poroshenko "as leading the anti-corruption fight in Ukraine"... Pull the other leg, it rings. It's BULLSHIT! Poroshenko was the most corrupt president of Ukraine ever. So what's in it for the USA? Grasp Ukraine away from the Russians, by whatever means, including cash to the Nazis and other corrupt practices accepted by the US Empire. Biden:

"My son did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. All I did was for the US government" or such.

So in order to control a corrupt Ukrainian President, one needs to place some controlling agents: Hunter Biden was unemployed to play dummy on behalf of his dad. he did fit the bill. It's a quiproquo and a quidproquo at the same time.

Is Joe Biden "corrupt"? My answer woud be yes. But he won't admit to it. He cannot. His alternative to become president is to “loose” the preselection gracefully. He cannot leave the contest ahead of the final call. This would be seen as an admission of guilt, but as a good Roman Catholic who regularly attend Mass at St. Joseph'son the Brandywine in Greenville, Delaware, guilt is only for the confessional. Politics is about sociopathy...

not a peach nor a banana on him...

The impeachment trial of President Trump is headed for a critical vote Friday that will determine whether the Senate hears from witnesses over allegations that the president pressured Ukraine to launch investigations for his own political benefit.

But Senate Republicans are increasingly confident no new testimony will be heard and they can start on a sprint toward Trump’s acquittal.

On Thursday, Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) said she will break with Republican leadership and vote to hear witnesses. But Collins still needs three other Republicans to vote with her if new evidence is to be allowed and it was unclear late Thursday night who, if anyone, in the party would join her.

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) was considered a possible supporter of allowing testimony, but he announced Friday that he’s ready to end the trial even though he found Trump’s behavior “inappropriate” and leave the president’s fate in the hands of voters during the upcoming election.

biden's sacrifice...

We should acknowledge that Biden's dealings with Burisma/Ukraine were not corrupt, but HIGHLY CORRUPT. Mind you, Joe Biden was prepared to sacrifice his clean Christian image so the US could spread de-mo-cra-cy in Ukraine — in the name of justice and freedom the American way and take Ukraine away from the clutches of Nasty Russia.

Ukraine being a highly corrupted country, in order to get a look in, one needed to play the game, even after the Revolution of Dignity (Maidan 2014 — inspired and financed in a great part by US cash to the Ukrainian Nazis).

To recap:

Burisma was (is) a company that “belongs” to Zlochevsky, a former minister of Ecology in the Yanukovych government, who awarded gas and oil leases to himself. Corruption galore.

Burisma was thus prosecuted under the Poroshenko regime for Zlochevsky awarding gas and oil leases to himself when a minister.

Poroshenko was a smart operator who wanted “some of the Burisma cake”. Poroshenko had made his fortune by importing chocolates, sinking and buying all his competitors and “making” deals with other big business in ways that could be compared to Mafia's protection money. When he became President of Ukraine, he got all the big companies investigated by the PGO. The concept was to stop all operations of these companies until they paid bribes. Poroshenko was not too greedy as to kill the goose (geese), though.

For example, Zlochevsky’s Burisma was asked to pay $1million a month to the Poroshenko outfit. This was in the form of free gas to Poroshenko’s own companies. Zlochevsky was still “investigated", but his company was thus allowed to operate. Zlochevsky was not too happy. he wanted the investigation closed. He made a proposal in 2015, relayed by a certain Onyschenko to Poroshenko:  $50 million to Poroshenko to close the investigation. Onyschenko secretly recording his conversation with Poroshenko (eventually the recording became public. There is a small connection to Shell and ExxonMobil being exempt of something).
Petro Poroshenko: "Kolya [Zlochevsky] is a good guy... I’ll think about what can be done. The Americans have been getting angry about him lately.”
Oleksander Onyschenko: “in theory, They shouldn’t do anything against him, because Biden’s son is on the board. And so is Kwasniewski. So Westerners won’t be stepping on our toes when I talk to Kolya [Zlochevsky].
Petro Poroshenko: “Well, I’ll think about what can be done. say hello to Kolya for me."

Aleksander Kwasniewski, a former Polish president and a board member for Ukrainian gas company Burisma, said that when Hunter Biden was "asked" in 2014 to join its advisory board, he told him that the company was working to overcome a difficult past and was determined to be well-managed and transparent. Kwasniewski and Hunter Biden were placed on the Burisma board by Zlochevsky, for “protection”.

If Burisma succeeded in tapping into Ukraine's gas deposits, it would help Ukraine get energy independence from Russia, a key part of its broader struggle to exist as an sovereign nation.

Independence from Russia…” is the key to the whole charade…

Thus the US embassy in Kyiv was in two minds about investigating Burisma. Some  staff “wanted" an investigation. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt was neutral. And Poroshenko “had to agree with the Americans”… According to whistleblowers, this was seen "as a way to get some black cash for the US elections"… They could participate in the  collection of bribe moneys from Burisma. Biden saw Poroshenko in 2015. Joe Biden gave six hours to Poroshenko to stop the prosecution into Burisma. The Prosecutor was Shokin

Was this a corrupt act from Joe Biden? YES AND YES AND YES. ONE CANNOT GO IN ANOTHER COUNTRY AND INTERFERE WITH ITS JUSTICE SYSTEM, crooked or not... But Biden gloated about it:

I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

The investigations were terminated by prosecutor Lutsenko in 2017 who got a lot of money to stop the investigation — as well as Poroshenko.

----------------------

The investigators had raised the hard fact that Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma. This was annoying to their probe… Poroshenko could “not do everything… because the American (Hunter Biden) was there."

The prosecutors in Ukraine were afraid of losing their visa to the USA, should they prosecute Burisma, because of the US connection via Hunter Biden.

Despite Kwasniewski assurances, Zlochevsky had ONLY given the job to Hunter Biden to prevent any investigation into his company, as Joe Biden was the Vice President of the United States. This has been rigorously verified.

But in order to really stop the investigation, before Shokin came along, there were "suggestions” within Burisma of bribing the prosecutor general office (which demanded bribes to stop the investigation)…

Zlochevsky paid, sharing the money to Poroshenko and to the PGO… Controlling corruption by benefitting from corruption was the name of the game. It has been confirmed that investigations into Burisma started under prosecutor Vitaly Yarema.

Shokin (the new so-called “inefficient” prosecutor) had found out that Burisma didn’t just pay $50,000 every months to Hunter Biden but about $3.6 million in hidden money transfers to a Hunter Biden Company. Poroshenko told Onyschenko that Biden had interests into Burisma and they would close the case. So, Zlochevsky paid dark moneys to Biden and Poroshenko. Case closed (after Joe Biden’s intervention) — before the US elections. Now the case has been reopened.
Documents have shown that many members of the Ukrainian parliament had been bribed [by Poroshenko’s government] to vote in favour of Shokin’s removal as a prosecutor.
Meanwhile in the USA, Shokin would be described as "an inefficient prosecutor" by the State Department, replace by "someone who was solid at the time"
And the “liberal” MSM publishes that Shokin was removed because he was inefficient… Joe Biden is above board. Easy fix.
And we still don’t know of other Biden fiddles, which might surface tomorrow...

a nostalgia about middle-class facial uplift...

...

Recent voter surveys give the edge in the caucuses to Bernie Sanders, who also leads in New Hampshire, could wind up winning the first two Democratic contests and has a profoundly different vibe. He’s about fighting fire with fire. Biden is about dousing the flames with compassion. And for many voters, that’s “a nostalgia act whose well-worn slogans about middle-class uplift and national unity are out of sync in this season of outrage,” as Molly Ball wrote in Time magazine last week. Biden was on the cover.

The media is going all out to place Biden at the top of the Democratic nomination: Joe Biden: A Really Nice Guy for President

His pitch in Iowa couldn’t be simpler. Is it what voters want?

Sanders is leading. He is the enemy of "business as usual". Biden is all about "compassion" and "national unity"... Excellent. The "middle-class" will be able to sleep easy. Biden is like an old angel fallen to dear earth... Lovely. Can't place a foot wrong... The media loves him because Biden represents "business as usual"... Little wars, friends for dinner with a glass of chardonnay, and all the way the American way... The rest of the world shall follow nicely in between the stars n' stripes flowers-beds. All good.

Of course, Buttigieg and Gabbard should be promoted by the media instead of the old Biden bloke. They are the future, Biden is the past. Sanders promotes the people ahead of himself. But the liberal media has decided: it shall be Biden. Biden. Biden. Biden... because he's a nice guy who seems to have had a face-lift, didn't he, around the eyes?...

Yep, America is in need of a face-lift...

And Warren hates Russia, especially Putin... It spurs the flagging spirit... Excellent...

democrats should count their blessings...

Republicans succeeded in keeping witnesses out of the Senate impeachment trial on Friday—maybe Democrats should count their blessings.

Which is a better position to run with going into November: that the Senate held an open, fair impeachment trial complete with witnesses, was unconvinced, and acquitted Trump? Or that the Republican controlled Senate held a “show trial” and kept witnesses out?

The Senate voted 51-49 against witnesses, with Senators Susan Collins and Mitt Romney the only Republicans voting with Democrats.

An impeachment trial without witnesses is “a job only half done,” charged John Kelly, Trump’s former chief of staff, on Friday. “In my view, [senators] kind of leave themselves open to a lot of criticism. It seems it was half a trial.”

That’s a view that most people appear agree with—polls taken before the vote found that 75 percent of Americans were for witnesses in the trial.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrat House impeachment managers could not have been more insistent on the need to hear from witnesses, like former national security advisor John Bolton, acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, or other officials with first-hand knowledge of the events surrounding Trump’s freezing of lethal aid to Ukraine.

But would witnesses really have helped Democrats?

If they got their way, they’d still face a monumental task, having  to convince two-thirds of the GOP controlled Senate to vote against their president, a president who famously values loyalty above all else, with a vast war chest topping $100 million, a mere months ahead of the general election.

That’s not all. Assuming that the Senate voted to allow witnesses, they would then have to hold a vote on which witnesses and documents to allow. In response to the potentially-damaging testimony of former administration officials like Bolton, whose unpublished manuscript reportedly states that Trump directed him to help extract damaging information on Democrats from Ukraine, Republicans would want to call some witnesses of their own. Witnesses like Vice President Biden and his son Hunter, who made over $80,000 a month to sit on the board of a Ukrainian oil company. They’d want to hear from the whistleblower whose complaint got the impeachment rolling, as well as any of Congressman Adam Schiff’s staff that the whistleblower spoke to.

This would have allowed Republicans to air grievances and give Guiliani’s theory on Biden’s Ukraine corruption scheme a prime-time audience. It could poison voters’ minds on establishment favorite Biden. That’s not what Democrats want—which is why they’ve been so insistent that under no circumstances will they make a trade for witnesses: a Bolton for a Biden, if you will.

tetchy...

Savannah Guthrie, co-host of NBC's "Today" show, asked Biden during an interview whether it was wrong for his son "to take that position, knowing that it was really because that company wanted access to you."

"Well, that's not true. You're saying things you do not know what you're talking about," an agitated Biden replied. "No one said that. Who said that?"

....

Asked about the reasons why Hunter Biden, who did not have previous experience in the field, would have been given the seat on the board of Burisma, a natural gas company, Biden just said that his son was “a very bright guy,” adding that Hunter now regrets taking the job.

US President Donald Trump notably asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July phone conversation to probe Hunter's dealings in Ukraine. The call triggered an impeachment inquiry against Trump as the Democrats accused the president of soliciting foreign contributions to his 2020 presidential campaign.

could not run a school fete...

Results in the first vote of the 2020 US presidential election have been embarrassingly delayed by what organisers described as “quality checks” and new reporting rules.

The Iowa Democratic Party said on Tuesday (Australian time) that results from the state’s first-in-the-nation caucus were greatly delayed, but the problem was not a result of a “hack or an intrusion”.

The statement came after Iowa voters packed caucus sites across the state, with at least four leading Democratic candidates battling to win the opening contest of the 2020 campaign, and ultimately, the opportunity to take on Donald Trump for the presidency.

Mr Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale said the delay in reporting the Iowa results was “the sloppiest train wreck in history”.

“And these are the people who want to run our entire health care system?” Mr Parscale said.

DES MOINES — Maybe it was the threat of bad weather. Maybe it was a seating assignment debacle. Maybe it was a struggling campaign organization that still hadn’t found its footing.

But as Joseph R. Biden Jr. spoke at a major Iowa Democratic Party dinner in November, one thing was clear: His support appeared tepid compared with the vocal cheering sections of top rivals. The reception angered Mr. Biden and his top aides — and it left little doubt about his standing, three months before the nominating process in the Democratic presidential race would begin: The former vice president was in deep trouble in Iowa.

Two days after the dinner, Mr. Biden ripped into his campaign chairman, Steve Ricchetti, according to a person familiar with the conversation. And at the Biden headquarters in Philadelphia, senior officials sternly told staff members they needed to step up their performance.

hunter joins burisma, 2014...

Burisma Holdings, Ukraine’s largest private gas producer, confirmed on 13 May 2014 the appointment of R. Hunter Biden (photo) to its Board of Directors. He will be rubbing elbows with Devon Archer, who has preceded him by a few weeks.

R. Hunter Biden is the son of U.S. Vice-President, Joe Biden.

Devon Archer chaired the support committee for the 2004 presidential campaign of current Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Devon Archer was the roommate of Christopher Heinz (John Kerry’s step-son) during their studies at Yale University. He later founded Rosemond Seneca Partners, a financial and policy advisory firm, where R. Hunter Biden serves as managing director.

Burisma Holdings is a very secretive outfit. It has been registered in Cyprus since the "Orange Revolution" and has reportedly bought up most Ukrainian gas companies. According to the Anti-Corruption Action Center, Burisma Holdings has been controlled since 2011 by Ihor Kolomoisky (? — Zlochevsky was the owner). The latter, who chairs the European Jewish Parliament (EJU) and owns half of the Jewish News One TV channel, was appointed on March 2 Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (province) by the Kiev junta authorities. He later funded the assault troops that perpetrated the butchery in Odessa on May 2.

"It has," Biden said, "But, you know, I can’t focus on that, Chuck. I’ve got to focus on the future."

The Democratic presidential candidates face off in Las Vegas Wednesday night ahead of the Nevada caucuses. Nevada could be a decisive state for candidates who performed poorly in Iowa and New Hampshire, including former Vice President Joe Biden. As Biden hopes for a comeback, a new short documentary sheds light on his extensive role in the Iraq War — an issue that has been raised repeatedly on the campaign trail. Biden has apologized for supporting the war, but the new film, directed by the Center for Economic and Policy Research’s Mark Weisbrot, exposes Biden’s central role in pushing for an Iraq invasion. It’s called “Worth the Price? Joe Biden and the Launch of the Iraq War.” The documentary is narrated by Danny Glover.

Joe Biden was not arrested in South Africa while trying to see Nelson Mandela, his campaign has conceded.

The US presidential contender had repeatedly said he was arrested during a trip there in the 1970s, when South Africa was under apartheid.

But a deputy campaign managers told reporters Mr Biden had been referring to an episode where he was "separated" from black colleagues at an airport.

Mr Biden is counting on black support to win South Carolina on Saturday.

On Wednesday Mr Biden won the endorsement of Democratic Congressman James Clyburn, a black lawmaker who is considered key to winning the state's black vote, which makes up more than 50% of Democratic voters there.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders currently holds the most delegates for the Democrats' presidential nomination, followed by former Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg and Mr Biden.

DALLAS — Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, who entered the Democratic presidential race with an appeal to moderate voters and offered herself as a candidate who could win in Midwestern swing states, has decided to quit the race and endorse a rival, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., her campaign confirmed on Monday.

Ms. Klobuchar will appear with Mr. Biden at his rally in Dallas Monday night. The decision comes one day after former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Ind., departed the race, and after weeks of Democratic Party hand-wringing about a crowded field of moderate candidates splitting a finite field of centrist votes, allowing Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont to march forward unopposed among progressives and amass delegates.

Shortly after the news broke about Ms. Klobuchar, Harry Reid, the former Senate majority leader, said in a statement that he would endorse Mr. Biden as well.

Ms. Klobuchar decided to end her bid this morning, catching some of her staff by surprise as they were still making plans for campaign events later this week, and as her ad team was still making future reservations. Her rally in Salt Lake City on Monday morning carried no indication that she had any intention of dropping out of the race.

biden's mafia tactics in ukraine...

Audio recordings released by Ukrainian MP Andrii Derkach allegedly offer confirmation that Joe Biden pressured former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire an attorney general in exchange for a billion-dollar loan.

Former top Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin filed a criminal complaint in January, alleging that Biden had strong-armed Poroshenko into firing him while he was running multiple investigations into the Burisma gas company where Biden’s son Hunter was a board member.

Biden himself has boasted publicly that he gave Poroshenko an ultimatum to fire Shokin or the offer of the $1 billion in loan guarantees would be rescinded – but the audio recordings, if they are legitimate, add new clarity to the controversy surrounding Shokin’s dismissal.

Andrii Derkach, the independent MP who released the recordings, claims he received the audio files from investigative journalists and that they were recorded by Poroshenko himself.

“If there is a new government and a new prosecutor general, I am prepared to do a public signing of the commitments for the billion dollars,” Biden appears to say in a recording from March 22, 2016.

“I’m not suggesting that’s what you want or don’t want, I’m just suggesting that that’s what we’re prepared to do,” Biden added, as if to deflect from the fact that the offer was a quid pro quo – one billion dollars for the firing of Shokin.

Poroshenko responded that this was “extremely strong motivation” to do what the US administration was asking and named Yuriy Lutsenko (who later took over) as a possible replacement for Shokin. In a signal that the new prosecutor would need to be approved by Washington, Poroshenko said he would not tap Lutsenko for the job if Biden did not think he was appropriate.

readout of the call posted on the US embassy's website said the two men discussed a range of issues, but there was no mention of Shokin or the prosecutor general's position.

In a later conversation on May 13, Biden tells Poroshenko: “I'm a man of my word, and now that a new prosecutor general is in place, we're ready to move forward and sign that one billion dollar loan guarantee.”

the chocolate king vs russian fifth columnists...

Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that leaked audio of his conversations with Joe Biden was “fabricated” by enemies, hinting that the current president’s office might have played a role.

A series of audio recordings of Poroshenko talking to various officials from Barack Obama’s administration emerged this week, including a subservient conversation with then-Vice President Biden. The former president dismissed the recordings as part of a “large-scale special operation” launched by a pro-Russian “fifth column” seeking to destroy Kiev’s relations with its allies in Washington.

“Joe Biden is a friend and ally of Ukraine. We should be grateful to Biden for his role as vice president of the Obama administration,” Poroshenko said in a statement published by his party, European Solidarity.

The audio files were published by Ukrainian lawmaker Andrii Derkach, who also handed them over to the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to Ukrainian media, the prosecutors then launched an investigation against Poroshenko, who is suspected of high treason and abuse of power.

They show the former president literally taking orders from Washington, including from Biden personally, specifically in the case of firing the top Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who investigated the Burisma gas company where Biden’s son Hunter was a board member.

Poroshenko did not deny that the voice in the recordings was his, or that he said any of the things that were on tape, but he repeatedly argued that the recordings were “fabricated.” He argued that the administration of the current president, Volodymir Zelensky, might have handed over “raw materials” to investigative journalists who eventually leaked the recordings to Derkach.

He went on to say all this was done to undermine the bipartisan support for Ukraine in the US and weaken Kiev in its standoff with Russia, blaming “pro-Russia provocateurs” for the leak and predictably accusing Moscow of being the ultimate beneficiary of this “scheme.”

Further pointing fingers, the billionaire candy tycoon named oligarch Igor Kolomoysky – his former ally – as one of the “major sponsors” of the alleged “disinformation campaign.”

Kolomoysky is widely seen in Ukraine as the gray eminence behind Zelensky – a former film and TV comedic actor. He once enjoyed Poroshenko’s support and was appointed governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, going on to spend a fortune on his private militia and ultranationalist volunteer battalions that fought against the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in the east.

However, Kolomoysky has since drastically changed his political course, backing Zelensky’s landslide victory over Poroshenko in 2019 and describing an alliance between Kiev and Moscow as the only option for Ukraine.

Poroshenko, meanwhile, vowed to “engage all his contacts, including those in America, both among Republicans and Democrats” to prevent any forces from undermining what he called a “strategic alliance” between Kiev and Washington.

that was purely corrupt...

Referring to the investigation and Biden’s corruption on March 4, President Trump said, “That will be a major issue in the campaign, I will bring that up all the time… I don’t see how they can answer those questions… that was purely corrupt.”

The most significant step taken in providing Democratic primary voters and Americans as a whole clarity on the Biden corruption was Johnson’s May 20 party-line vote victory to subpoena Blue Star Strategies — despite months of Sen. Romney flirting with a vote against it.

Blue Star Strategies is a public relations firm that consulted for Burisma. The committee’s probe is looking into allegations that the firm attempted to use Hunter Biden’s board position to influence the State Department.

“The question I would ask is, what is everybody worried about?” Johnson told Politico in late May. “If there’s nothing there, we’ll find out there’s nothing there. But if there’s something there, the American people need to know that.”

More recently, the committee has reached out to and demanded testimony from three former Obama administration officials: former Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former Special Envoy for International Energy Amos Hochstein, former senior State Department officials Victoria Nuland and Catherine Novelli, and former chief of staff to Secretary of State John Kerry, David Wade, according to Politico.

An explosive detailed report from the Senate Homeland Security Committee, is expected to be released on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden’s dealings with Ukraine gas company Burisma ‘within days,’ Sen. Ron Johnson told this reporter Friday.

Moreover, Johnson’s Senate committee voted on Wednesday to authorize more than three dozen subpoenas and depositions of former senior Obama administration officials’ involved, or who had knowledge of the FBI’s probe into President Donald Trump. The issue, however, says Johnson, is that FBI Director Christopher Wray has refused to cooperate with his panel for information and documents that would aid in questioning witnesses

joe's smelly butt...

Washington: Tech giants Facebook and Twitter have restricted access to a salacious New York Post story purportedly based on emails between Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's son Hunter and business associates in Ukraine.

The high-selling News Corp tabloid splashed the story on its front page on Thursday (AEST) under the headline "Biden secret emails".

Facebook announced it was limiting the distribution of the online version of the Post story on its platform.

"While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want be clear that this story is eligible to be fact checked by Facebook’s third-party fact checking partners," Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said on Twitter.

"In the meantime, we are reducing its distribution on our platform."

Twitter users clicking on a link to the Post story received a warning saying the content is "potentially spammy or unsafe".

Twitter's Hacked Material Policy does not "permit the use of our services to directly distribute content obtained through hacking that contains private information, may put people in physical harm or danger, or contains trade secrets".

US intelligence agencies have concluded that the Kremlin is trying to denigrate the candidate Biden in the lead-up to the November 3 presidential election. The New York Postreported that the emails were obtained by long-time Trump lawyer and associate, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

In a statement the Biden campaign said: "The New York Post never asked the Biden campaign about the critical elements of this story. They certainly never raised that Rudy Giuliani - whose discredited conspiracy theories and alliance with figures connected to Russian intelligence have been widely reported - claimed to have such materials. Moreover, we have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place."

The Biden campaign added that multiple investigations by the press and congressional committees "have all reached the same conclusion: that Joe Biden carried out official US policy toward Ukraine and engaged in no wrongdoing".

Republican Senator Josh Hawley accused Facebook of censoring damaging news about Biden less than three weeks before the November 3 election.

"The seemingly selective nature of this public intervention suggests partiality on the part of Facebook," Hawley wrote in a letter to the company.

"And your efforts to suppress the distribution of content revealing potentially unethical activity by a candidate for president raises a number of additional questions, to which I expect responses immediately."

Most prominent American media outlets - besides Fox News - have devoted little to no coverage of the Post story since it broke, a contrast to the consistent focus on Hillary Clinton's emails during the 2016 campaign.

In the story, in one purported 2015 email Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Ukrainian gas giant Burisma, appears to thank Hunter Biden for introducing him to his father, who was then Barack Obama's vice-president, during a trip to Washington.

The Biden campaign has disputed that such a meeting took place, but has not questioned the veracity of the emails.

Democrats impeached President Donald Trump last year on the grounds that his attempts to pressure Ukraine to announce an investigation into the Bidens' business dealings in the country represented an abuse of power.

external influences...

By Gabriel Gavin, in Moscow

A few weeks ago, Viktor Medvedchuk was celebrating as his party, Ukraine’s largest opposition bloc, topped a nationwide opinion poll. Now, he’s facing charges of funding terrorism that could land him behind bars for over a decade.

In an exclusive interview with RT, the MP and chairman of Opposition Platform — For Life, which advocates better ties with Moscow, insisted that the allegations were a tool of political persecution.

According to him, they are part of a wider pattern of repression linked to Kiev’s recent moves to shut down Russian-language media that has been critical of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government. The embattled administration has seen its approval ratings nosedive amid worsening economic woes and a chaotic response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Very serious accusations

Last week, the country’s National Security and Defense Council announced it would seize properties belonging to seven people, including multimillionaire Medvedchuk and his wife, TV presenter Oksana Marchenko, for allegedly financially supporting terrorist organizations. Details of the charges have not yet been made public, but they could carry a 10-12 year prison sentence if he is found guilty.

“These are very serious accusations,” the politician said. “Especially given they are without any foundation at present.” The sanctions, he argued, “are expressly prohibited” by Ukrainian law and in contravention of the Constitution.

“Unfortunately, [prosecution for] crimes like treason and espionage is commonplace. Just as at one time there was a charge of hooliganism, now we can be charged with treachery or spying,” he said. However, despite believing his political opponents are abusing the justice system, any suggestion that the man once described as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ‘favorite Ukrainian’ might flee abroad gets short shrift. “In spite of all of this, I feel like I’m ready to fight – to fight against arbitrariness, against repression, against falsification… I am prepared to stand up to these threats," he said.

Just a few hours before Medvedchuk spoke to RT, the Kiev-based research group Rating published a poll which they claim shows more than half of all respondents across the country supported the action against the politician and his family. “They say 58 percent agree with the sanctions, but they have not seen any evidence or arguments,” he said incredulously. “So, what can you really say about this figure?”

Again though, he refuses to write off the prospects of healing political divisions in a country where more than half of the population would seemingly relish the prospect of putting him behind bars. “The split can be overcome,” Medvedchuk insisted, “because the East-West divide has existed for a long time. Since independence, even. Yes there are regions… that differ in mentality and attitudes, but that’s not such a terrible thing if there is a wise state policy with solid structures and good governance.”

“We can find shared ground when it comes to the development of the country’s economy, its social sphere, income growth and prosperity.”

External influence

As one of the flag bearers for a return to Ukraine’s pre-2014 foreign policy, which pursued closer relations with Moscow until the bloody events of the Maidan uprisings, Medvedchuk is often characterized as being ready to give away the country’s independence to the Kremlin. However, he insists that it is Zelensky’s government, and its Western allies, that presents the real threat to Ukrainian nationhood.

“We live in an independent sovereign state,” he said. “Or, at least, we used to live in one. Now, both independence and sovereignty are being undermined by external influence and most importantly by external political systems imposed by Washington.”

clever...

Moscow is ready to offer political asylum to Ukraine’s former president Petro Poroshenko and others who face political persecution by Kiev, Vladimir Putin said in a joint press conference with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

The Russian president noted that he'd first floated an offer of asylum to Poroshenko when the latter was still the sitting president.

“I told him that if he had any difficulties in the future, Russia was ready to grant him political asylum,”Putin said, noting that Poroshenko appeared to laugh off the idea initially, responding to such a prospect with irony. His predecessor Viktor Yanukovich received asylum in Russia after the February 2014 coup in Kiev, which ultimately led to Poroshenko’s election.

Putin noted on Monday that the offer to Poroshenko, who is now facing charges of treason and abuse of office in Ukraine, still stands.

“Today I want to reaffirm my offer [to Poroshenko], despite us having serious differences on the issue of a settlement in Donbass,” the Russian president said, adding that he believes Poroshenko made “a lot of mistakes” in handling the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Poroshenko was the president of Ukraine from 2014 to 2019. He is now awaiting trial on a series of charges, including promoting terrorism and treason, that stem from his alleged involvement in a plot to buy $54 million worth of coal from the breakaway Donbass in 2014 and 2015. The prosecutors argue that Poroshenko thus supposedly violated restrictions on trade with the region after it became de facto governed by separatists.

The former president has argued that his trial is politically motivated.

Calling Poroshenko’s “persecution as a state criminal” by current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government “too ambitious,” Putin accused Kiev of perpetrating “systematic human rights abuses” against its own people.

These abuses include the persecution of political opponents and encroachment on media freedom, Putin said, but added that his biggest concern was discrimination against the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine. While Russian is the mother tongue of the majority of Ukrainian citizens living in cities in the east and south of the country, it is not recognized as a native language under a new publishing law, which bans media publications that do not come with a Ukrainian translation. An exception is, however, granted to English and the language of Crimean Tatars – another ethnic minority in the country.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The foreign national who allegedly bribed President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden allegedly has audio recordings of their discussions, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley said during remarks on the Senate floor.

"The foreign national who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden allegedly has audio recordings of his conversation with them, 17 such recordings," Grassley said on Monday, citing the FBI's unclassified 1023 form on the Biden family.

The foreign national allegedly has 15 audio recordings of his discussions with Hunter Biden and two other recordings with then vice-president Joe Biden, according to Grassley.

Grassley added, according to the document, that the foreign national kept these recordings as a sort of insurance policy in case he got into a "tight spot."

Moreover, Grassley said the document indicates Joe Biden may have been involved in Burisma employing Hunter Biden.

The US House Oversight Committee is investigating a possible political bribery scheme involving a foreign national.

The probe is based on information provided to the FBI by a confidential human source who alleges that Biden and his son Hunter Biden received a total of $10 million from Ukrainian energy company Burisma to help end a probe into the entity. Biden dismissed the allegations.

Earlier in the day, former President Donald Trump said he will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate current officeholder Joe Biden, his family and others allegedly engaged in corruption that negatively impacts the United States.

Eric Zuesse (blogs at https://theduran.com/author/eric-zuesse/)

On 21 July 2023, I headlined “The Significance of the Congressional Probes into FBI-Biden Corruption” and summarily presented, from Senate and House investigation files, the case that the Trump-appointed and Biden-retained Director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, committed treachery against the American people — is a traitor — by his hiding from the public conclusive proof that Joe Biden corruptly and secretly works as the leader of a crime-ring along with Hunter Biden and others skimming millions of dollars from Ukraine, and that Mr. Wray specifically hid this information before the 2020 election in order to sabotage Trump’s bid to retain the White House (even though Wray had been appointed by Trump — which just goes to show how incompetent Trump is, though Biden’s corruptness is even more dangerous than Trump’s incompetency).

The day before that, on July 20th of 2023, the great investigative journalist Garland Nixon presented in depth that same case as I did, but more in-depth and in a video talk instead of like my article. He, focussed especially upon and placed into remarkably full context one particular FBI document, which U.S. Senator Charles Grassley had gotten the FBI to declassify (and Grassley released to the public) on that same day, 20 July 2023. This was a document which the FBI had had in its possession for three years and hidden, ever since 26 July 2020, and which was sent to FBI headquarters four days later, so that it was reported to Mr. Wray probably on 30 July 2020, which was before the Presidential election later that year — and Wray hid it and pretended it didn’t exist. Perhaps Wray was using it as blackmail just in case Biden might become elected and then want to replace Wray as the FBI’s Director, so that Wray could then let Biden know about the document right after the election and thereby persuade the President-elect to retain Wray in that high office. In any event, Wray has remained silent about the matter.

The Hunter Biden laptop, which in April 2019 he had left to be repaired and never picked up, was unknown to the public until the New York Postpublished excerpts from it on 14 October 2020, which also was the first occasion when was published from it the fact that both Hunter Biden and his father had been secretly paid by Burisma (the Ukrainian gas company that had hired Hunter Biden) $5 million each. On 19 October 2020, more than 50 former U.S. intelligence officials signed a public declaration that the N.Y. Post’s story was based on “Russian disinformation.” (That became the excuse for U.S. ‘news’-media to avoid and discredit, and not investigate, the story.) Wray, being not a former official, wasn’t among its signers, but, because of the FBI’s 30 July 2020 report, Wray had already known (from the FBI report that he kept secret) many of the revelations that the N.Y. Post published (such as the $5 million bribe to each of the two Bidens) and which those former U.S. officials declared to be just “Russian disinformation.” Wray continued to keep the truth secret. And only relatively few Americans got to see the evidence that the N.Y. Posthad published on 14 October 2020: Almost all Americans voted in ignorance of that evidence.

Here is the 70-minute-long video from Mr. Nixon:

https://web.archive.org/web/20231215035107/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw5rzezyeYE

“MASSIVE FBI CORRUPTION REVEALED IN THE HUNTER BIDEN SCANDAL”

Though Mr. Nixon constantly mispronounced various words — especially a name that he mentioned numerous times, “Zlochevsky” mispronouncing it as “Zolochevsky” and “Zalochochevsky” — his factuality and the logic of his analysis are, so far as I have been able to determine, entirely truthful and correct, and are especially remarkable because he was making and publishing to youtube this video on the same day that Senator Grassley released the document. So, here are my transcripts, first of highlights from it, and then of my edited and corrected youtube transcripts from what I consider to be the most important parts of his presentation and including sometimes within brackets a few links to provide the reader with easy access to the evidence that he is discussing:

At 27:00- Nixon shows the FBI report 26 June 2020 saying that “it costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden.” It quotes Burisma saying that “they hired Hunter Biden to ‘protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems’.” See this here, in that key document which Grassley released on 20 July 2023:

https://www.grassley.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/fd_1023_obtained_by_senator_grassley_-_biden.pdf

“they hired Hunter Biden to ‘protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems’ (CHS [the FBI’s source, which the document doesn’t sell out but leaves anonymous in this way] was certain Pojarsl provided no further/specific details).”

“CHS asked Zlochevsky [the CEO of Burisma] why Burisma would pay $20-30 million to buy a US company for IPO purposes when it would be cheaper to just form a new US-entity, or purchase a corporate shell that was already listed on an exchange. Zlochevsky responded that Hunter Biden advised Burisma it could raise much more capital if Burisma purchased a larger US-based business that already had a history In the US oil and gas sector. CHS recalled Zlochevsky mentioned some US-based gas business(es} in Texas, the names of which CHS did not recall. CHS advised Zlochevsky It would be problematic to raise capita! In the US given Shokin’s investigation Into Burisma as nobody in the US would invest in a company that was the subject ot a criminal investigation. CHS suggested it would best if Burisma simply litigate the matter In Ukraine, and pay some attorney $50,000. Zlochevsky said he/Burisma would likely lose the trial because he could not show that Burisma was innocent; Zlochevsky also laughed at CHS’s number of $50,000 (not because of the small amount, but because the number contained a “5”) and said that “it costs (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden. • CHS noted that at this time, It was unclear to CHS whether these alleged payments were already made. CHS ~ Id_ Zlochevsky that any such payments to the Bidens would complicate matters, and Burtsma should hire “some normal us oil and gas advisors” because the Bidens have no experience With that business sector.”

“said that ‘it costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden’.”

“Subsequent Telephone Calls Between CHS and Zlochevsky:

2016/2017 Telephone call. Shortly after the 2016 US election and during President Trump’s transition period, CHS participated in a conference call with Ostapenko and Zlochevsky. CHS inquired whether Zlochevsky was happy with the US election results. Zlochevsky replied that he was not happy Trump won the election. CHS asked Zlochevsky whether he was concerned about Burisma’s involvement with the Bidens. ZIochevsky stated he didn’t want to pay the Bidens and he was ‘pushed to pay’ them.”

Asked why Burisma had worried enough to hire the U.S. President’s son, “Zlochevsky said he/Burisma would likely lose the trial because he could not show that Burisma was innocent.”

“CHS mentioned Zlochevsky might have diffiOJlty explaining suspicious wire transfers that may evidence any (Illicit) payments to the Bidens. Zlochevsky responded he did not send any funds directly to the “Big Guy” (which CHS understood was a reference to Joe Biden). CHS asked Zloehevsky how many companies/bank accounts Zlochevsky controls; Zlochevsky responded it would take them (Investigators) 10 years to find the records (i.e. illic.it payments to Joe Biden). CHS told Zlochevsky if he ever needed help in the future and wanted to speak to somebody in the US government about that matter, that CHS could Introduce him to someone.”

“On June 29, 2020, CHS provided the following supplemental reporting: Regarding CHS’s aforementioned reporting that Zlochevsky said – “he has many text messages and ‘recordings’ that show he was coerced to make such payments – CHS clarified ZIochevsky said he had a total of “17 recordings” involving the Bidens; two of the recordings included Joe Biden, and the remaining 15 recordings only Included Hunter Biden. CHS reiterated that, per Zlochevsky, these recordings evidence Zlochevsky was somehow coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired. Zlochevsky stated he has two “documents (which CHS understood to be wire transfer statements, bank records, etc.), that evidence some payment(s) to the Bidens were made, presumably in exchange for Shokin’s firing.”

Garland Nixon then, starting at 49:00 described the connection of Sam Bankman-Fried to this operation. Then, at 50:00, Nixon says that some of the money entered “in the front door of Sam Bankman-Fried’s crypto company and then disappears out the back door.” “Everything I’ve read to you, Federal Bureau of Investigation, CHS  reporting document, date of contact, June 30th, 2020, Biden wasn’t even elected yet. Prior to Biden’s election, …

Here is Nixon then continuing:

50:44

Biden wasn’t even elected, yet prior to Biden’s election they knew

50:50

everything, they had a witness who came to them and

50:55

spilled the beans on everything about Joe Biden’s dirt,

51:02

everything, and said my boys got the bank records, we got everything, my boys got audio and

51:10

the audio shows that Hunter and Biden, Hunter and Joe, strong-armed the coercion.

51:15

You know what that means? They’re mafia, they strong-armed it, they strong-arm these people into giving them five

51:22

million dollars each. These guys went and told the FBI.

51:29

What did the FBI do? They [not the investigator but Christopher Wray the FBI’s Director] hid it. The FBI. You see why I’m saying this

51:37

ain’t a Biden scandal, this is an FBI scandal? Now you got to ask yourself something,

51:43

let me add this something you probably ought to, may, be interested in knowing:

51:48

the FBI which uh in my day you know my background when I was in law enforcement

51:54

I was very high ranking official I worked with the FBI’s joint terrorism fast fast task force for a year I know,

51:59

I understand, I used to go to meetings in the FBI building in Baltimore.

52:05

The FBI is a law enforcement agency. They’re supposed to handle terrorism bank robberies kidnappings Interstate

52:14

travel of crime, there’s certain very specific things the FBI is supposed to handle. Right

52:22

after the U.S overthrew the government of Ukraine in 2014 the FBI opened an

52:28

office in Ukraine called Naboo, I think it was Comey that opened it, uh the

52:34

uh what is it national anti-corruption Bureau NABU.

52:40

What the hell is the FBI doing? They are a domestic

52:47

agency investigating crime in the United States.

52:52

What the hell are they doing opening an office in Ukraine to look up corruption

53:01

and they couldn’t find any but wait a minute it’s the National Anti-corruption

53:07

Bureau in Ukraine so the FBI is looking for corruption in Ukraine, right?

53:14

And a guy comes to him and hands them the president and his son gift wrapped

53:19

with a bow. …

56:23

We also now know that ANDRII TELIZHENKO who worked uh for Viktor

56:28

Shoken [the Ukrainian investigator into Burisma, whom V.P. Biden forced to be fired] as his assistant, the one that was fired who worked with Blue Star Strategies, who worked for the U.S

56:35

embassy, who visited the White House on multiple occasions, who worked as part of

56:40

the whole Maidan crew, he admits he was part of that, and he’s sorry for it, this guy goes to Congress and says I’ll

56:47

rat everybody out, I’ll tell you the truth about all the corruption, and Mitt Romney blocks them, and they then say this guy’s a Russian spy,

56:54

he, he’s, uh, we can’t can’t talk to him he’s a Russian spy. There was no evidence he was a Russian spy so what happens?

57:00

They get one guy comes the FBI gives him all the evidence, they ignore it, another guy says I want to tell Congress and

57:07

they call him a Russian spy, and sanction them and say we can’t talk to him. Isn’t it interesting?

57:12

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, and if you end not only did they shut

57:19

ANDRII TELIZHENKO down, what did they do to you, and I prior to the 2020 elections if anybody

57:26

went online and said hey I think there’s something rotten with Hunter Biden in Ukraine they would censor you, they would

57:33

throw you off YouTube, they would throw you off Facebook, throw you off whatever, right? They censored the New York Post.

57:39

You see my dear friends that was the key when you saw them flip out completely to

57:45

shut down the Hunter Biden stuff, you knew it was all valid, and now we know not only do we know it,

57:52

the FBI had everything, they had everything, and they still got everything, and they have done nothing.

57:58

And now we got a whistleblower that comes forward that says the IRS was trying to do an investigation and a DHS

58:05

excuse me, but did you know this whistleblower was just in Congress and

58:11

he said look IRS was trying to do an investigation in Hunter Biden’s funds and um

58:17

the Department of Justice the FBI of course came down and stopped us and interfered and wouldn’t let us do it but

58:23

why did they, did they do that, they had to. It all makes sense now the IRS now is

58:29

trying to look at Hunter Biden’s funds, what does the FBI know? They have the all the information and evidence they’re like if

58:35

they start looking at Hunter Biden’s funds, they’re going to find some of this money from Ukraine, we can’t have that, they’re

58:41

going to find all the crookedness they’re going to say to Hunter by where this money come from and they may start looking at Joe Biden’s number, remember

58:47

the guy in charge of Burisma said it’ll take them 10 years to find it, it’s all hidden, but I got all the information. The

58:53

IRS didn’t have to look into Hunter Biden as funds, all they had to do

58:59

let’s call the FBI because the FBI had it did everything they had their boy all he had to do was

59:05

say hey man give me the information on uh those deposits you made for Hunter and Joe the FBI had it all but instead

59:12

of the FBI saying to the IRS will enjoying your investigation we’ve got all the dirt on Hunter and Joe

59:19

they shut the investigation down for the IRS and stopped them

59:25

Meanwhile the Democratic Party is like nothing to see here, whatever you do don’t look at

59:30

their whoa this is M.A.G.A. Republican far right-wing Russian propaganda. Dare I say nobody needs to look into this.

59:37

Let me tell you this: the Republicans ain’t going far with this. Republicans are not going to fire — the most they’ll do is say something about China. They

59:43

don’t want to look at this, you know why? Because it’s glaringly obvious that the Deep State was involved and

59:49

ANDRII TELIZHENKO said this, the Deep state was involved, so it’s obvious, glaringly obvious now, that that they were all

59:56

getting paid, the Deep State was involved, there was all kind of crooked money, so the FBI can’t let the IRS look into

1:00:03

this, and they stopped them, and now somebody has testified to Congress, and now this is out, the Congress and what is

1:00:08

Congress going to do? Nothing man. The level of corruption is stunning

1:00:16

the level of corruption is astounding and you think the Democrats right now first of all right now you gotta have a

1:00:24

special prosecutor not for Hunter Biden but for the FBI you

1:00:29

must appoint a special prosecutor, to look into the FBI, you must appoint a special prosecutor to look at the Hunter

1:00:35

and Joe with this you must do this. You think they’re going to do it?

1:00:40

And you know what’s interesting about that? Let’s go back,

1:00:48

Mueller didn’t find anything did he? All this dirt and Mueller didn’t find

1:00:53

anything. All the investigations done Mueller found nothing about this, didn’t

1:00:58

mention it, oh let’s see what about John Durham? John Durham looked into all this for corruption he searched top to bottom

1:01:04

he didn’t find it. Isn’t it interesting? Mueller’s

1:01:10

investigation didn’t find this Smoking Gun. There’s a Smoking Gun laying

1:01:16

right in front of him. They didn’t see it, nobody just stepped over it, hey what about that Smoking Gun

1:01:23

what Smoking Gun? I don’t see anything, nobody saw anything — Mueller Durham [U.S.-and-allied media always do this.]

1:01:28

nobody saw anything — but they can investigate Trump till he’s moving the face. I’m not a trump fan don’t get me

1:01:33

wrong I’m a lefty you know Cornell West maybe RFK Junior, somebody like that I could vote for.

1:01:39

Trump not sorry done the line with my Lefty Lefty Lefty leftiness right but

1:01:45

here’s my point, fair is fair and right is right, they’re investigating Donald Trump for every

1:01:50

damn thing in the world everything in the world they are now looking to charge him January 6th really

1:01:58

taking a trunk for that how I watched it Donald Trump said everybody go

1:02:04

peacefully down there and continue right do do your thing literally said go peacefully and they’re looking to charge

1:02:10

him now for being part of an Insurrection or something they’re charging this guy with their

1:02:16

they’re searching, they literally look investigated Trump and they found stuff

1:02:22

that the federal elections commission had looked at and said we’re not moving on that that’s a crime and then some

1:02:28

local guy in New York looks at and says well I’ll move on it let’s charge drunk well hey hey look here’s the bottom line

1:02:34

everybody we got to treat everybody the same under the law you know law I mean hey that’s a rule of this is a country

1:02:40

of nation of laws and and nobody is um nobody is uh gets treated differently

1:02:46

under the law, nobody gets let off, nobody, and they’re really charging Trump with

1:02:52

this out there, they’re really going to charge Trump I cannot imagine a greater miscarriage. I’m no Trump fan but this is

1:02:58

a miscarriage of justice on an unthinkable level. …

Investigative historian Eric Zuesse’s latest book, AMERICA’S EMPIRE OF EVIL: Hitler’s Posthumous Victory, and Why the Social Sciences Need to Change, is about how America took over the world after World War II in order to enslave it to U.S.-and-allied billionaires. Their cartels extract the world’s wealth by control of not only their ‘news’ media but the social ‘sciences’ — duping the public.
