on the spectrum...

 spectrumspectrum

I GET IRATE… not really, I hold MY COOL pretty well considering… But I can’t stand politicians who lie or try to fool us with crap… A friend gave me "a compliment” yesterday by intimating I was “on the spectrum”… Yes I know. I know which plane is passing overhead without looking at it. As well I can make the difference between a Tesla motor and a "three-phase Mikhail Dolivo-Dobrovolsky" motor. Or plunge into quantum mechanics without making a fool of myself too much…

Mikhail Dolivo-Dobrovolsky is responsible for the kind of “best” electric grid system in the world. His three-phase system is simple and WORKS WELL. Meanwhile we had the chance of getting the best system of communication in Australia, but the dorky alliance of Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull gave us a substandard wonky NBN. These two politicians, under the influence of another devious (actually he’s not devious, just Machiavellian) fellow, Rupert Murdoch, decided to go for the least workable system possible — apart from wires made of wood sticks. It works but has nowhere to grow. Imagine that the choice is between an efficient electric motor or using a steam engine for your car, in order to save the planet from global warming… Please, don't be stupid... On this subject, the alliance of Tony Abbott (him again) and Clive Palmer (Fredoom!) destroyed our best practical way to achieve something decent. Since then ALL the CONservative (Liberal) governments have fiddled the books with various tricks that would not fool Penn and Teller — or a serious actuary.

Same with this silly woman, Liz Truss… Yes she mentions “territorial integrity” of Ukraine without noting that her government and the US administration are presently trying to destroy the “territorial integrity” of Syria and have blown the Libyan integrity out of the water by various subterfuges such as bombing the shit out of people. Did I mention Kosovo and splitting from the EU via "Brexit"? Yes I know the EU is not perfect and the West having bombed people in Libya for example, many of them are trying to find refuge in Europe, including with selfish UK, while drowning in the Med. And the Scots might have a referendum to rejoin the EU… after having had an "unsuccessful" referendum about quitting the UK...

So, reading about the life of Δομήνικος Θεοτοκόπουλος (Domḗnikos Theotokópoulos), we suddenly enter the murky world of conquests and religious punch ups… El Greco (1 October 1541 – 7 April 1614), the famous “Spanish” painter came from Crete, a bit like the “Spanish flu” came from America. But we are getting ahead of ourselves…

History tells us that Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain had chased the “Moors” (Muslims) who had settled (conquered Spain) since the 8th century — and the Jews — out of Spain from the late 15th century onwards. On January 2, 1492, King Boabdil surrendered Granada to the Spanish forces, and in 1502 the Spanish crown ordered all Muslims forcibly converted to Christianity. The next century saw a number of persecutions, and in 1609 the last Moors still adhering to Islam were expelled from Spain.

Earlier, Constantinople, (May 29, 1453) had fallen to the “Turks” (Muslims as well) who went on conquering Europe and stopped near Vienna in Sep-Oct 1529, when the Ottoman Empire made a determined effort to capture this city, the capital of the Hapsburg Austrian Empire. The failure to take Vienna marked the end of Turkish expansion into Europe and was followed by the diversion of Ottoman effort toward Asia and the Mediterranean. Eventually, the Turks were thrown out at the Battle of Vienna, which took place at Kahlenberg Mountain on 12 September 1683 after the imperial city had been besieged by the Ottoman Empire for two months. ... In the ensuing war that lasted until 1699, the Ottomans lost almost all of Hungary to the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I. Interestingly, Germany "invited" many Turks to come and work in factories after WW2...

Coming back to El Greco, Crete was declared an Ottoman province in 1646, after the Ottomans managed to conquer the western part of the island as part of the Cretan War, though the Venetians maintained their hold on the capital Candia until 1669, when Francesco Morosini surrendered the keys of the city… Crete would remain under Ottoman control until 1897, when it became an autonomous state. The island continued under nominal Ottoman suzerainty until the Balkan Wars. In their aftermath, the Ottoman Sultan dropped any claim on the island, and on 1 December 1913 it was formally united to Greece. Here, we also have to remind ourselves that the Turks were fighting on the side of the Germans during WW1 (Galipolli and al this from 1914 to 1918)

In 1774, the Ottoman Empire was defeated by Catherine the Great (She was a German woman). Crimea was traded to Russia by the Ottoman Empire as part of the treaty provisions and annexed in 1783. ... This republic was dissolved in 1945, and the Crimea became an oblast first of the Russian SSR (1945–1954) and then the Ukrainian SSR (1954–1991). Since the dissolution of the USSR, Crimea’s status was UNDEFINED, yet in 1990s correspondence between Western leaders, the West RECOGNISED THAT CRIMEA WAS RUSSIAN. It has since been returned to Russia, by POPULAR VOTE, considering that more than 90 per cent people in Crimea are RUSSIANS. Sevastopol in a RUSSIAN port.

And we also need to place Martin Luther in perspective in regard to all this...

Martin Luther, (10 November 1483 – 18 February 1546) a 16th-century monk and theologian, was one of the most significant figures in Christian history (I thought Jesus [Zeus?] was it...). Luther's beliefs helped birth the Reformation — which would give rise to Protestantism as the third major force within Christendom, alongside Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. His denunciation of the Catholic church’s doctrine and practices triggered a series of proceedings that culminated in the Edict of Worms, a document that proclaimed him a heretic and declared war on Protestantism. But his actions had already set the Reformation in motion, which would introduce new religious, political, and economic trajectories to Europe and the world — poluting the minds of Americans nowadays.

Meanwhile we mentioned Luther because he HATED the Catholic Church first, then the Jews and the Muslims in this decreasing order. He became popular, especially in America, where the “pilgrims” landed after having been persecuted in Europe…

Then a few years before Luther died, Δομήνικος Θεοτοκόπουλος (Domḗnikos Theotokópoulos) was born in Crete… El Greco worked for the Spanish Catholics...

By Mid 18th century, the Enlightenment started in Europe in earnest. According to Gus-the-Elder, Enlightenment broke into two branches. A philosophical push designed to eliminated the idea of god in Europe — from which the concept of Quantum mechanics was generated by the end of the 19th century — and a mercantile activity that developed in England that has been "rouining” (ruling, enriching and ruining) the world ever since, called the “Capitalist economy”…

Many other events came like flotsam and jetsam flooding history, till we get a Liz Truss, foreign imbecile-in-Chief behind silly party-pork-pies Boris, uttering sheer crap. Why fucking not…?

I should give up… But I won't. I’m in the “spectrum”…

"west puts pressure on russia"

This is the stupid headline of an article in the daily Telegraph...

The West has to know that Russia DOES NOT WANT TO INVADE UKRAINE. Okay? But should the Nazi battalions with their US advisors start to "disrespect" the MINSK AGREEMENT, the Russians have the capability to bomb them out of existence, with precision, within minutes. The US military knows this. Remember "Assad to be removed by the West"... Well think again...
