speculations without an once of knowing what happened......The Russian cruiser Moskva sank while being towed to Sevastopol. It had been badly damaged by a fire followed by an explosion, or vice versa. The reports are contradictory. The British consider to have played a decisive role in its destruction. On the other hand, the Ukrainian government claims that the ship was destroyed by two Ukrainian-made Neptune missiles with US and British upgrades. The British nuclear-powered submarine Conqueror had succeeded in torpedoing and sinking the US-built Argentine cruiser ARA General Belgrano during the Falklands War on 2 May 1982. The Sun then headlined: “Gotcha” (we got you).

As an expert in Naval Warfare since the late 1950s, and still following the old and new battleships of various navies on YouTube as well as various Navies websites and other serious analysts, Gus is quite forward in promoting PURE SPECULATIONS to the fore — with no idea about what happened whatsoever.
First: what happened?
— ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE? — SABOTAGE? — FOREIGN MISSILE? Ukrainian made/UK made/US made?
— The fire on board was “contained" — Was there enough time to transfer missiles and other weapons to another ship "during the night"? — Were the Russians a bit ashamed of having been hit? Or for being “incompetent”? Or are they fuming at the US for it?
— Once weapons and equipment transferred, was it best to scuttle the ship? Possibly yes, storm or no storm.
— Had the ship been hit by a “foreign” missile, what was the amount of play by US intelligence to provide targeting info?
— The Russians are aware that US “intelligence” is providing “services” to Ukraine, which in this case could be said to be an act of war from the USA/UK. Is this why the Russians are playing down the whole affair — to avoid a full confrontation with the US, which would mean the destruction of the Pentagon, New York and Washington, soon followed by Hollywood/Los Angeles going up in smoke, for starters?
— Should Ukraine have “missiled” the Moskva, they could not have done it without some “help". Thus the Russians might not be shy about getting "something back" in return despite the Western propaganda being 110 % against Russia.
— Why are the UK media crowing? Ah yes, the UK defeated Argentina… Here I have news for you: PUTIN IS GOING TO WIN THE INCURSION INTO UKRAINE no matter the amount of weapons supplied from the West to Ukraine... He has to. He has to win either on the battlefield and more people will get killed for a dubious Zelensky ideology of fake “FREEDOM” or in negotiations — IN PEACE. The choice is in the hands of dummy Zelensky, who should either UNDERSTAND THE RUSSIAN POSITION OR disappear miraculously like "his" Neo-Nazis “vanished” (see: "no neo-nazis" in ukraine….) from the Western media landscape…
AND NOTE THE QE2 TO SAIL FOR WAR... Magic!!!
The whole saga will be terminated within 2 weeks max… And the QE2 should be sunk.... I could be wrong.

losses and losses….
Ukraine has suffered the “irretrievable losses” of 23,367 troops since Russia launched its military offensive in February, the Ministry of Defense in Moscow stated on Saturday.
The casualty figures were revealed by Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov, who said that in the city of Mariupol alone Ukraine has lost more than 4,000 people, including “foreign mercenaries” and “Nazis” associated with the notorious Azov and Aidar regiments.
Konsahenkov said that Russia has obtained documents proving Ukraine's losses, and would soon publish more detailed information from these files.
Ukraine claims to have lost between 2,500 and 3,000 soldiers across its entire territory. This was the figure Zelensky gave to CNN in an interview on Friday, while claiming that the Russian military had suffered as many as 20,000 casualties of its own. Moscow heavily disputes Zelensky’s claims. According to a casualty count published by the Russian government last month, Russia had lost just over 1,350 troops.
In a statement, the general accused Zelensky of hiding the true scale of Ukraine’s losses, saying the president “is afraid to tell the people of Ukraine” how many soldiers have been lost.
Konashenkov said that over the course of the day, Russian forces launched high-precision missile strikes on six Ukrainian military equipment sites and seven troop strongholds, while Russian air assets destroyed 67 troop and equipment sites.
Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian military transport aircraft near Odessa, Konashenkov added, stating that the plane was “delivering a large batch of weapons supplied to Ukraine by Western countries.” Russia had previously declared that such foreign arms shipments would be considered “legitimate targets” by its forces.
Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden authorized an $800 million package of heavy weapons for Ukraine, including artillery pieces and helicopters. According to a CNN report on Friday, the first flight of weapons from this package was due to arrive in Ukraine within a day.
Over the course of Friday night and into Saturday morning, Russia used high-precision strikes to destroy an armored-vehicle manufacturing plant in Kiev and a military repair depot in the city of Nikolaev in southern Ukraine, Konashenkov said earlier on Saturday. A total of 16 targets were hit overnight, including Ukrainian military units, weapons and ammunition depots, and radar facilities, he added.
Moscow warned earlier this week that it would step up such strikes, and would hit “decision-making centers” in Kiev in retaliation for Ukraine’s shelling of Russian territory. Kiev denies launching such attacks on Russian soil.
The intensification of Russia’s attacks also comes after the cruiser Moskva, the flagship of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, sank after a fire broke out on board and spread to ammunition stores. Ukraine claims to have hit the vessel with an anti-ship missile.
Russia attacked the neighboring state in late February, following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German and French brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.
