oversexed mechanised rats on the attack.....

It’s not a good start to any media article when the sub headline contains an editorial error, but this headline which reads “Chinese minister invited to AI summit helped create cyborg rats: Wu Zhaohui has also been decribed [sic] as man ‘whose fingerprints are all over the Uyghur genocide” indicates that the once world-renowned Daily Telegraph has entered an era of sensationalism and amateurism.

Cyborg Rats and Genocide: Daily Telegraph plumbs new depths of sinophobia    By Jerry Grey

Genocide and cyborg rats in one headline probably weren’t on anyone’s bingo card for the week but clearly, the two things are designed to instill fear in the readers and, if we really want to know more about it, we should be able to read the article for clarification. But we can’t, there isn’t any.

Unbelievably, the topic of the article is an AI conference designed to help prevent the increase of AI generated child sexual images on the internet. But, because a man from China has been invited, his connections to a scary scientific experiment, a tenuous link to unproven allegations and, if we’re to be honest here, a completely debunked genocide are brought into play.

While the sub-headline says the word “genocide”, the article softens that to “Uyghur abuses in Xinjiang”. Presumably because their lawyers would have told them to do so, they know there has been no genocide, quite the opposite in fact, the number of Uyghurs in Xinjiang today is far greater than before and they’re living longer and richer lives but that’s a different story which has been well addressed many times before.

The headline mistakenly entitles Vice-minister Wu Zhaohui as a Minister once and thereafter calls him Mr., saying he has been “described (sic) as the man ‘whose fingerprints are all over the Uyghur Genocide’” the person who described him thus becomes clear towards the end of the article, British Hong Kong activist Luke De Pulford, the founder of an organisation which the Telegraph very politely but also erroneously calls the “Inter-Parliamentary Alliance”. Leaving out the most important words its correct name is the Inter- Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC).

This is a group of mostly right-wing but 100% anti-China legislators funded by more anti-China bodies such as: the US State Department’s National Endowment for Democracy (NED), often referred to as a CIA cutout; George Soros’ Open Society, which has long been critical of China, in particular, Xi Jinping; and the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy, founded with, believe it or not, the assistance of NED. As is often said when you want to know what’s really going on, follow the money.

De Pulford, is the only person describing Vice-minister Wu as implicit in the “Uyghur genocide” and his basis for the claim is completely mind-boggling.

As head of a university in Zhejiang Province in 2016 (at least one year before the concoction of Xinjiang persecution stories), Vice-minister Wu agreed to a “Comprehensive Strategic Framework involving talent exchanges with the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps” (XPCC). If that sounds terrible and genocidal, let’s take a closer look at what it actually means. The aim of the Framework was, and this is a direct quote from the Telegraph’s own article:

To give “full play to the advantages of Zhejiang University in education, medical care, talent, scientific research, etc., to promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, to enhance the ability and level of the public service on social cause, and to promote the development of Zhejiang University”.

Vice-minister Wu apparently sought to exchange talents to improve and enhance individuals and societal structures with Xinjiang. This should seem to most observers to be the absolute opposite of any form of oppression. Yet, from this, De Pulford claims his “fingerprints are all over the Uyghur genocide”.

The gist of the allegations of genocide stem back to the fact that the XPCC, who Vice-minister Wu worked with, are sanctioned by the US State Department for their part in this imaginary genocide but clearly, neither the US State Department, IPAC, nor De Pulford have read Oxford University’s 2018 report on XPCC where much talk of the positive work is made, but no mention whatsoever of any participation in Uyghur affairs, in fact, quite the opposite, the XPCC works independently and remotely from the local populations and solely for the benefit of the region. Academic proof, if needed, that claims of their involvement in any kind of persecution are pure fantasy.

What could, and should, have been an interesting article about how our social media giants are proposing to control a serious issue has been sidelined because, what they’d like us to think of as an “oriental Frankenstein” who might have had a hand in murdering millions of people, is coming to town!

Getting back to the story of cyborg rats, and here again, the Telegraph has got the story wrong; it wasn’t hard to find a link to the Work that Professor Wu has been doing. The online Discover Magazine has an interesting write up on this work.

Brain Brain interfaces are nothing new in science, neither are Brain Machine interfaces. If we think about how an amputee controls movement in their prosthetic arm or leg, we can get an understanding of the concept. Professor Wu, the Telegraph tells us, “conceived and designed the experiments” in Zhejiang University, where some rats with a similar technology, connected through Bluetooth to humans had their directions controlled. The experiment was a great success with some rats performing flawlessly. The applications for this kind of experiment aren’t hard to understand. China was devastated by an earthquake in 2008 where 69,000 people lost their lives and search and rescue times could have been dramatically increased by the ability to send rats into very small gaps so efforts to rescue could be focused where it’s known lives could be saved.

The Telegraph didn’t link its sources but suggested that the rats were hooked up to computers rather than humans, perhaps that was an earlier, later, or different experiment?

Putting aside the references to an imaginary genocide and the incorrect information about the experiments Minister Wu had not even conducted, the rest of the article about the very serious matter of child pornography was, in fact, an interesting read.

The highlights being that PM Sunak admitted that a summit on AI wouldn’t be a summit without China. Meta, didn’t bother to turn up and TikTok, the source of much concern about China’s influence on young people, signed a pledge to root-out child sex abuse images. What a pity such important information played second fiddle.

rats.....

New research has shown that rats, with their hippocampus-driven imagination, can advance cognitive science by aiding in 3D thinking exercises, which has implications for our understanding of memory and the development of technologies based on neural signals.

Rats have demonstrated the ability to manipulate objects within a digital environment using their brain activity, akin to telekinetic abilities seen in science fiction. Instead of mystical powers, these rats use the power of their imagination.

This groundbreaking phenomenon was described in the latest issue of the journal Science, highlighting the brain's capacity to predict future scenarios and revisit memories.

Mayank Mehta, a neurophysicist at UCLA, expressed his admiration for the research, describing it as exceptional. He emphasized its role in ushering in further study. He mentioned that a deeper scientific understanding of the brain area involved could assist researchers in diagnosing and treating memory disorders.

Albert Lee, a neuroscientist, and his team at Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus in Ashburn, Virginia, explored the brain's ability to traverse time by mentally recalling or predicting events. Lee, now a Howard Hughes Medical Institute researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, believes these mental capabilities enrich our inner lives.

Two anti-China French "reporters" were caught lying, and they pulled Adrian Zenz down with them

A popular French TV show recently aired an undercover investigation by two young French journalists, Justine Jankowski and Marine Zambrano, who snuck into multiple clothing factories in China with one aim: to find evidence of forced labor.

And if you watched their program, part of France 2's "Cash Investigation" series, you might be convinced that they found astonishing and scandalous evidence.

The fact of the matter, though, is that the show's creators used blatant lies to come to that conclusion, and I have all the evidence on today's show.

What is even more delicious is that the show also featured seasoned anti-China "academic" Adrian Zenz, who has ended up being exposed by this show at the same time. Two birds with one stone!

Grab a cuppa and come with me as I explain all of the tricks the two female reporters used, and highlight clearly why they are lies.

This is Reports on China, I'm Andy Boreham in Shanghai. Let's get reporting!

fabricated.....

The Uyghur genocide is completely fabricated.

COMMUNIST AWAKENING

The Uyghur genocide is a complete fabrication. But if you state this on social media, you will encounter hostile reactions.
You will be pressured to provide sources for your misinformation by commentators convinced they live in a fairytale world where there is an international community based in the West that is genuinely interested in truth and justice in the world, and that objectively assigns gold stars and demerits for human rights and civilization to entire countries, starting with those that represent the greatest danger to this civilization: China, Russia, Iran, DPRK, etc. And let's not even mention the delusional fabrications they have been circulating about Venezuela for the last 20 years.
It is important to be aware that when you deny news that is clearly completely fabricated and propagated by utterly dishonest people, you indirectly lend it a kind of negative credibility. There's no smoke without fire, as they say. But as they also say, give a dog a bad name and hang him! Behind the denunciation of China lies, of course, the preparation of public opinion for the future imperialist war against that country.

No doubt it would fall to these commentators, often driven by unconscious anti-Asian racism, to provide proof of this so-called genocide. They will then cite the lengthy reports from Amnesty International (1), Human Rights Watch, and the UN, considered beacons of ethics and best practices, absolutely above suspicion, and try to shame us for questioning the word of these honest researchers who have worked so hard!

It's worth remembering that Amnesty International inherited a certain reputation for objectivity, having been created in the 1970s to report on the crimes of South American dictatorships. However, it was quickly repurposed to become a key component of the anti-Soviet propaganda machine of the Cold War, and later, of imperial propaganda. Human Rights Watch (HRW) originated as a pro-Zionist splinter group, since opposition to Zionism remained within the realm of acceptable opinion until recently and was expressed to some extent within Amnesty. But the leaders of these NGOs, which are non-governmental in name only, move back and forth within the Western political elite to build the imperialist consensus in the West.

If we point out to those who denounce China's alleged crimes the effective fact-checking work carried out by Le Grand Soir, despite its limited resources, and by other excellent sites like Investig-action, they will scoff and try to crush us by attacking the reputation of these institutions, labeling us conspiracy theorists. They will claim that all this research, all these cross-referenced and documented testimonies, even supported by satellite imagery, are beyond reasonable doubt.

They don't even realize that their validation process is limited to choosing between two opposing theories the one that generates the most noise, and therefore has the greatest media reach, the largest financial resources, and the support of the wealthiest and most powerful institutions, billionaires, and governments.

For educated people, who are often the most naive, the idea that all these testimonies—which often play heavily on emotion and age-old prejudices about the inherent cruelty of Asians—are concerted and part of a campaign hostile to China is utterly unthinkable and, in itself, a conspiracy theory.

But the case of the "Uyghur genocide" is special: it's not at all necessary to delve into the details in this particular case. It's not even necessary to assume that these witnesses are false witnesses.

Indeed, when one reads these reports incriminating China, it becomes immediately clear that they are attempting to prove the existence of genocide in Xinjiang by gathering information that actually concerns anti-terrorist repression targeting criminal groups comparable to those that perpetrated the Paris attacks of 2015-2016—a very different situation—and that they then try to amplify these facts to make us believe that they indiscriminately affect all Uyghurs or all Muslims living in China, through conflation and semantic manipulation.

Genocide, regardless of the definition used, consists of attempting to annihilate a people through extermination or other means. So, did the Chinese try to annihilate the Uyghur people? Well, there is absolutely no credibility to be given to this assertion.

The Uyghurs are more numerous and prosperous than ever in present-day China, as evidenced by countless accounts from themselves and from travelers, including Muslim travelers.

Even if all the facts gathered by these NGOs, which follow the anti-Chinese agenda of the West in general, were accurate—which would be quite surprising—all they would be able to prove is that China ruthlessly represses indiscriminate terrorism of the "Bataclan" type, which also struck it, with the alleged assistance of Western intelligence services, and whose survivors were redeployed in Syria under their protection to overthrow the legitimate government.

The Uyghur genocide thesis collapses under the weight of its inherent absurdity. As for the repression of Chinese Takfiri terrorists, regardless of their ethnic origin, it is absolutely justified.

But what still leaves a bitter taste is that these self-righteous defenders of widows and orphans in countries they know almost nothing about, indulge their moral narcissism to smear China, at the very moment when a real genocide of immense proportions is unfolding in full view of the entire world. And as if by chance, China is one of the only major forces in the world that is attempting, admittedly not sufficiently, but genuinely attempting, to oppose it.

The moral narcissism of the Western petty bourgeoisie appears incorrigible.

Communist Awakening

PS: Totally denying the existence of a genocide in China does not mean denying the existence of repression, which in this case is justified, or of abuses that are obviously not. But since simply observing that all the rights of alleged terrorists were not respected by the Chinese authorities would be far from sufficient to incite public opinion against their country, the media propagandists of our liberal democracies are forced to resort to fabrication.

GS Notes
(1) In his book "Uyghurs, the Horror Was in Our Media," Maxime Vivas devotes a chapter to Amnesty International and Xinjiang. With supporting evidence, he demonstrates Amnesty's ideological and financial biases on this issue and the UN's refusal to comply with its demands.

Let's remember (this will save you the trouble of buying and reading the book) that the author reveals that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, after an on-site investigation, avoids the word "genocide," publishes not a "report," but a pitiful "assessment," which was released 13 minutes before the end of the four-year term of the head of the delegation, that this document is unsigned, and that the dialogue between Vivas and the UN broke down when, after asking three times for the names of the document's authors, he clarified (at the UN's request) that it was for articles in the GS and for writing a book.
