what we were doing, warnings, were not working. .....British Foreign Secretary David Cameron's experience of launching airstrikes against Libya, Syria and Iraq while he was prime minister helped him manage the UK's most recent attacks against the Houthis in Yemen on Thursday, iNews reported on Friday. Cameron reportedly helped assemble the group that struck nearly 30 sites in Yemen, using over 150 bombs, along with Defense Secretary Grant Shapps and Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden, a senior US official told the outlet. The Foreign Secretary, once the UK's candidate to be head of NATO, reportedly took “full part” in meetings and coordinated with his US counterpart Secretary of State Antony Blinken “on a regular basis.” He was also said to have delivered “warnings” to Iran, considered the Houthis’ most powerful ally. “We will do what is necessary to protect our ships, to protect maritime–freedom of navigation of important maritime pathways,” Cameron told NBC News on Friday, defending the decision to strike Yemen: “What we were doing, warnings, were not working. The number of attacks increased. The severity of those attacks increased.” “This escalation has been caused by the Houthis,” he insisted, arguing the airstrikes – which he called both “proportionate” and “legal” – sent “a very clear message to the Houthis. But also to Iran as well.” Cameron backed airstrikes on Libya during the ill-fated 2011 NATO campaign to take out the country’s leader Muammar Gaddafi. The NATO backed operation, reportedly led by Cameron and Nikolas Sarkozy, left the formerly prosperous nation a failed state and mass migration corridor over a decade later. He also ordered the bombing of Iraq and Syria during the campaign against the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terror group, though like his US counterpart, then-president Barack Obama, he was unable to muster parliamentary support for military action against Syrian President Bashar Assad, arguably the true target of the allies’ campaign in Syria. Sunak’s office declined to comment on Cameron’s influence, while the foreign minister is expected to continue making the case for military action in media interviews ahead of a scheduled debate on the issue in Parliament on Monday. The US and UK vowed to strike Yemen again “in the face of continued threats,” in a joint statement on Friday that was accompanied by further US sanctions directed at Iran. Earlier this week, the Houthis pledged to continue targeting Israel- and US-linked ships in the Red Sea “until the siege on Gaza is lifted,” and carrie dout what reports have described as their most complex attack yet on an American ship they claimed was providing support to Israel. UK and US ships in the region shot down a swarm of drones and missiles involved in the attack.

There is talk of the possibility of a war in Europe, when Russia has finished with Ukraine. In fact the article is far too optimistic. There will undoubtedly be no surviving Ukraine, with Zelensky still in power.
Western arsenals already quite sparsely fleshed out, have become seriously empty, and worse, they are being replenished with crap, including the famous tomahawk missile. 1000 are planned for “Europe”. It is totally obsolete except for bombing civilians.
Useless dung at a million dollars apiece, they bombed Yemen, for a total of 100 million, or more and even much more, without any effect. Yemen, NATO countries have already bombed extensively, without any result, except to glorify those who defy the Americans, with the risk that this time, the Houthis will completely block the Red Sea.
The USA and NATO are ALREADY well over 3 wars in progress.
Furthermore, for Yemen, one might wonder what exactly there is to bomb there, apart from Abdul's garage (there is certainly one called that!) or a school. They imagine that the Yemenis are so stupid as not to have noticed that they had already been bombed, and that they had not adapted???
On the collective west side, bombing has almost become a Pavlovian reflex, even if we know full well that it is useless (at best) and that it is counterproductive (at worst).
We also see that the war in Gaza remains at a standstill even if the arsenal of the Palestinian resistance is not inexhaustible. It has become a bloody war of attrition. Without doubt, a good million Israelis have decided to continue the resistance in a foreign country...
In a small country in economic decline, where certain areas are bombed, it is difficult to plan ahead. The “Madagascar” option mentioned in the 1930s to create a Jewish state would have been more appropriate. Indeed, the country is 30 times larger, and there were only 3 million inhabitants.
For the French puppet, we have the formation of the Attal government, “at the same time”, Jewish and homosexual. In fact, according to Hebrew law, it cannot be both. It is an “abomination”. With a 10% increase in the price of electricity, good luck for the government's popularity... Reason, no doubt, why we didn't hit the Yemenis, we were too busy with this nonsense...

President Biden says the US has delivered a "private message" to Iran about the Houthis in Yemen after the US carried out a second strike on the group.
"We delivered it privately and we're confident we're well-prepared," he said without giving further details.
The US said its latest strike was a "follow-on action" targeting radar.
Iran denies involvement in attacks by the Houthis in the Red Sea.
However Tehran is suspected of supplying the Houthis with weapons, and the US says Iranian intelligence is critical to enabling them to target ships.
Joint UK-US airstrikes targeted nearly 30 Houthi positions in the early hours of Friday with the support of Western allies including Australia and Canada.
A day later, the US Central Command said it carried out its latest strike on a Houthi radar site in Yemen using Tomahawk land attack cruise missiles.
A Houthi spokesman told Reuters the strikes had no significant impact on the group's ability to affect shipping.
The Houthis are an armed group from a sub-sect of Yemen's Shia Muslim minority, the Zaidis. Most Yemenis live in areas under Houthi control. As well as Sanaa and the north of Yemen, the Houthis control the Red Sea coastline.
The official Western government line is that the ongoing air strikes on Houthi targets are quite separate from the war in Gaza. They are "a necessary and proportionate response" to the unprovoked and unacceptable Houthi attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea, they say.
In Yemen and the wider Arab world they are viewed rather differently.
There, they are seen as the US and UK joining in the Gaza war on the side of Israel, since the Houthis have declared their actions to be in solidarity with Hamas and the people of Gaza. One theory even says that "the West is doing Netanyahu's bidding".
It is still possible that these airstrikes will have a chilling effect on the Houthis. They will certainly degrade their capacity to attack ships in the short term.
But the longer these airstrikes persist, the greater the risk that the US and UK get sucked into another conflict in Yemen.
It has taken the Saudis more than eight years to extricate themselves from there after it intervened in the country's civil war - and the Houthis are now more entrenched than ever.

The US officials are fuming over the leaking of the decision to carry out strikes in Yemen to the UK media, the Telegraph reports, citing a person familiar with the matter.
According to the report, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made his decision to greenlight the military operation during an urgent cabinet meeting at around 11 am local time on Thursday. Usually, such strikes are officially announced only after the bombers have returned to their bases.
The news about the meeting and its agenda was soon leaked to The Times, however, which reported that the UK and the US would initiate the strikes “within hours.”
The US military “expressed frustration with their counterparts,” the Telegraph quoted its “well-placed” source as saying. The paper added that the UK government had tried to determine how the sensitive information was leaked. The source described the reaction of officials as “deep disappointment.”
The US did not publicly comment on the reporting surrounding the preparation of the strikes. UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps told the Telegraph on Friday that he was “not aware of any frustrations in Washington.”
During Thursday’s strikes, the allies hit sites linked to the production of drones and missiles used by the Houthis to attack commercial shipping via the vital Red Sea route, the White House said. An American destroyer separately fired Tomahawk cruise missiles at a radar facility the next day, according to the US Central Command.
The Houthis – a Shia Islamist group that has been controlling a large part of Yemen since the mid-2010s – vowed to continue attacks on “Israel-linked” merchant vessels until Israel ends its ongoing war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

clumsy like a seal...........
Two US Navy SEALs were reportedly searching for a shipment of Iranian weapons to Yemen’s Houthi rebels when they went missing off the coast of Somalia late last week.
The two were raiding a small sailboat on Thursday night when one of them fell into the rough seas, NBC News reported on Monday, citing unidentified Pentagon officials. The other SEAL jumped into the water to rescue his partner, and both “disappeared into the darkness,” according to the report, which Fox News and the Associated Press confirmed.
The incident occurred as the SEALs were trying to board a small boat, called a dhow, in the Gulf of Aden. Four days of search and rescue missions have failed to locate them.
The disappearance comes amid rising tensions between the US and Iranian-backed militias in the region as Israel’s war with Hamas drags on. Houthi rocket and drone attacks in the Red Sea have disrupted shipping in the region, prompting a US-led international operation to provide safe passage for oil tankers and cargo ships.
