modern god moves in mysterious ways: onside with the powerful and against the poor....At the National Prayer Breakfast Feb. 1, President Joe Biden called for prayers for a peaceful resolution of conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine, and he urged Americans to be united in the face of challenges. In a speech to members of Congress at the interfaith event, Biden, who is Catholic, mentioned the fruits of the Holy Spirit, including peace. "Not only do we pray for peace, we are actively working for peace, security and dignity for the Israeli people and the Palestinian people," Biden said, adding he continues to work for the return of hostages and an "enduring" peaceful, two-state resolution to the conflict following Hamas Oct. 7 attack on Israel. "Just as we worked for peace, security and dignity for the Ukrainian people, as they show incredible resolve and resilience against (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's aggression," he added, "we must continue to help. The challenge of our times reminds us of our responsibility as a nation to help each other, just and lasting peace, deliver it, abroad, and here at home. That's why we're fighting against the rise of antisemitism and Islamophobia here in the United States and all forms of hate, including those against Arab Americans and South Asian Americans." Biden also delivered a plea for a renewed spirit of national unity. He said that the idea of America is a calling to "stand against hate" as we are all "created equal." Noting the event took place in Statuary Hall — a room in the U.S. Capitol that housed the House of Representatives before the Civil War, but after British troops burned the U.S. Capitol in 1814 — Biden said, "Here, here we are in this room, among the statues of heroes who have shaped our history." "That's my prayer, to remember who we are. We're the United States of America," he said. "There's nothing, and I mean this sincerely, nothing beyond our capacity if we act together." Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, who is Catholic, performed at the event. Biden expressed his admiration of the singer, calling himself an "unadulterated fan." House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, also expressed his admiration for the singer, telling Bocelli, "We wept on the front row." The event's 2024 honorary co-chairs were Reps. Frank Mrvan, D-Indiana, and Tracey Mann, R-Kansas. The National Prayer Breakfast was previously organized by the International Foundation, a Christian group also using the name the Fellowship Foundation, or sometimes the nickname "The Family." But in 2023, the event was reorganized after concerns among some lawmakers that the event was becoming too divisive following several controversial moments at the gathering. One such moment took place in 2013 when Dr. Ben Carson delivered remarks criticizing then-President Barack Obama's health care policies while he was sitting nearby.

Joe biden is the biggest hypocrite......
Bishop Joseph Strickland will be the keynote speaker in late February at a major gala for conservative activists and Republican officials a little more than three months after Pope Francis removed him from his leadership of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas.
Strickland, an outspoken cleric whose popularity among conservative Catholics has not dimmed since the pope effectively fired him Nov. 11 after a Vatican investigation into his management and leadership style, is set to speak Feb. 23 at the Conservative Political Action Conference's annual Ronald Reagan Dinner in Washington, D.C.
"We are honored to have this courageous Catholic leader take this important role during @CPAC," Matt Schlapp, the chairman of CPAC and former co-chair of the Catholics for Trump campaign group in 2020, posted Jan. 26 on X.
Schlapp, who in January 2023 was accused of sexually assaulting a campaign aide for Herschel Walker's failed senatorial run in Georgia, told the right-wing outlet Newsmax that Strickland will also celebrate Mass for Catholic attendees attending CPAC's Feb. 21-24 conference. (Schlapp, through his attorney, denied the aide's accusations.)
Strickland is not the first right-wing Catholic cleric to be given a platform at CPAC after being chastened by church authorities. In 2021, Fr. James Altman, a renegade priest who was removed from his La Crosse, Wisconsin, parish for being divisive, delivered a blessing and sat down for an interview during a CPAC conference in Dallas.
The news of Strickland participating in a forum attended by far-right activistssuch as Steve Bannon, Jack Posobiec, Sebastian Gorka and Kari Lake, among others, raised eyebrows among some of Strickland's critics in his home diocese.
"Is he going into politics now or running for office?" said Cindy Plummer, a former diocesan official who was among several female diocesan employees abruptly laid off by Strickland in 2018.
Amanda Martínez Beck, the former managing editor for the Tyler Diocese's magazine, told NCR that Strickland's participation in CPAC is all about "pandering to a conservative base who wants to be reactionary against the specter of the left — which Pope Francis is on, according to those who have a stake in CPAC."
Beck said Strickland's strident rhetoric and partisanship, which he amplified on social media, left her a disillusioned, lapsed Catholic. "The church is a political entity — how can it not be with people's lives and dignity at stake? — but it is not supposed to be partisan," Beck said.

enchanting melodies cannot drown out the sound of Israeli boots.
by The Media in 4-4-2
In a tour of events as dramatic as the career of Enrico Macias itself, the aging singer did not rock the boards of the Espace Malraux in Joué-lès-Tours on Thursday February 1, 2024.
People no longer rush to the gate to hear the song “Woe to him who hurts a child” sung, since it seems that this song does not take Palestinian children into account. The suspense was at its height: Will he come or will he not come? Well, ultimately the answer is a resounding “No.” The difficulties in filling the room seem to have been the reason for the musical icon's performance.
For its part, the Solidarité Palestine 37 collective expressed its pleasure and requested the pure and simple cancellation of the concert. Apparently, the symbiosis between Enrico Macias and the audience was as absent as the coherence in his filthy statements.
The collective recalled a previous statement by the Zionist singer, where he confessed to devoting himself body and soul to the State of Israel, in particular to the IDF. Since the beginning of my life, I have always given myself body and soul for the State of Israel, but firstly for the IDF, and now for Magav».
However, his more recent statements on the need to “destroy politically and even physically» the elected officials of La France Insoumise (LFI) added fuel to the fire of anger.
Espace Malraux, in a gesture probably accompanied by a sigh of relief, confirmed the cancellation of the show. “Ticket holders will be contacted by our services to implement refund procedures.“, said the place. Suffice to say that the public's money is safer in their pockets than in the melodic tunes of Enrico Macias.
Thus, Enrico discovers that even enchanting melodies cannot drown out the sound of Israeli boots. A concert cancellation which turns out to be the sad nail in the coffin of once uncontested popularity. One thing is certain: spectators in Joué-lès-Tours will look elsewhere for their dose of “music”.

utter stupidity.....
The Biden administration, in its utter stupidity, is launching a(nother) full fledged war throughout the Middle East.
U.S. launches retaliatory strikes after deadly attack on Jordan base - Washington Post - Feb 3, 2024
> U.S. forces launched a broad attack against Iran’s powerful military wing and affiliated militias in Iraq and Syria on Friday, delivering a blow to armed groups that Washington has blamed for killing American troops in Jordan and a surge of violence across the Middle East. <---Daniel McAdams @DanielLMcAdams - 11:01 UTC · Feb 3, 2024The operation, targeting numerous sites in Iraq and Syria used by Iranian forces and its affiliates, followed the killing of American troops last weekend
The Biden Administration just literally just blew up all the weapons of the Iraqi brigade that was fighting ISIS!

I am returning to the Middle East this coming week to continue working with our partners on how to achieve durable peace in the region, with lasting security for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
---President Biden @POTUS - 22:45 UTC · Feb 2, 2024Today, at my direction, U.S. military forces struck targets in Iraq and Syria that the IRGC and affiliated militia use to attack U.S. forces.
We do not seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world.
But to all those who seek to do us harm: We will respond.
---Elijah J. Magnier @ejmalrai - 14:11 UTC · Feb 3, 2024The US: We don't want to escalate the war in the ME, but we bombed Yemen & killed 10 Yemenis, we bombed Syria & Iraq & killed 16 Iraqis, 7 Syrians, but please de-escalate coz we will bomb you more in the coming days. In the meantime we are sending bombs to Israel to bomb Gaza.
---In 2020, after the U.S. assassination of General Qassam Suleimani, the leadership of Iran announced that, in consequence, the U.S. presence in the Middle East will be ended. Iran and its allies have since diligently prepared themselves to achieve that aim.
The hot phase of the process itself was initiated primarily by Hamas on October 7 (which followed the October 2 desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Zionist settlers). The secondary and tertiary steps were launched by Ansarollah in Yemen and Kataib Hizbullah in Iraq.
In each cases the U.S. and its Israeli proxy responded with harsh escalations.
It was the biggest mistake they could make.

Syrian military statement: US occupation cannot persist - Al Mayadeen - Feb 3, 2024
> The statement also affirmed that the Syrian army will continue to defend Syria's land and people, and strike all terrorist groups, regardless of how much their sponsors and supporters try to obstruct this goal. It added that it is determined to liberate the entire Syrian territory from all terrorism and occupation, including the US occupation which "cannot persist." <In its statement, Syria's military emphasizes that the US is working on reviving ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
The Axis of Resistance is present throughout the Middle East. It has its own economic and social networks. It produces its own weapons and its fighters are well trained to fight under the local circumstances. This is an enemy the U.S. can not defeat.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The United States did not provide advance notice to Iraq before its recent strikes on Iraqi territory, contrary to last week's statement by Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, US State Department deputy principal spokesperson Vedant Patel said on Monday.
"Iraq, like every country in the region, understood that there would be a response after the deaths of our soldiers. As for this specific response on Friday, there was not a pre-notification. We informed the Iraqis immediately after the strikes occurred," Patel said.
Last week, Kirby said that the United States had informed the Iraqi government about its operation prior to conducting the strikes.
In January 2024, three US soldiers were killed in an attack on a US base in Jordan, which further spiraled tensions as the US retaliated by striking what it said were Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Syria and Iraq.
Iran has denied playing any role in the attack in Jordan. Tehran says that resistance groups in the Middle East do not receive any instructions from Iran.
Both Iraq and Syria condemned the US strikes on their territory, and the Iraqi parliament's Security and Defense Committee called for the quick signing of an agreement on the withdrawal of the international coalition troops from the country.
