the non-intelligent non-president of yuckraine thinks he smells of roses....Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has become increasingly displeased with the work of military intelligence head Kirill Budanov and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and could replace them in the coming weeks, several outlets in Kiev have said. Forbes Ukraine was the first to report the rumors, citing an official inside the presidential cabinet and two lawmakers on the defense committee of the Verkhovna Rada. As the main reason for the proposed personnel changes, they listed the “growing challenges at the front.” Discussions about Budanov’s sacking have been going on for at least a month, according to Forbes’s sources. The head of the military intelligence service HUR reportedly has “strained relations” with Zelensky’s chief of staff Andrey Yermak and General Aleksandr Syrsky, the supreme commander of the Ukrainian armed forces. Budanov has allegedly carried out some operations on his own, without informing Syrsky or coordinating with the General Staff, which has endangered some units at the front. Zelensky was also said to be unhappy with several failed HUR operations, though the sources did not specify which ones. Yermak, who several Ukrainians have described to Western media as the real power in Kiev, appears not to like Budanov. His sentiment is shared by others in Kiev “who have pull with the media and the support of partners,”according to Forbes. Yermak has reportedly accused the HUR chief of spreading defeatism by discussing terms on which the conflict with Russia might end. Umerov was appointed in September last year to replace Aleksey Reznikov. According to the Ukrainian media, he has not delivered on the reforms Zelensky has demanded regarding military procurement and modernization, or ensured stability inside the ministry. While the firings might not be imminent, the issue is reportedly becoming “increasingly urgent.” Earlier this week, Russian forces liberated the town of Ugledar in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, which Ukraine had turned into a fortification that anchored a significant portion of the front line. Russian troops have also advanced in every theater, while the Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region has failed to achieve any of the objectives Syrsky stated publicly. https://www.rt.com/russia/605262-budanov-umerov-rumored-firing/

they don't want to die....
Several dozen Ukrainian troops have surrendered in the Donbass city of Ugledar, which was captured earlier this week, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.
In a statement on Friday, the ministry said that as many as 83 Ukrainian troops surrendered across the front line over the past week, without providing details on the circumstances. Officials added that 44 surrendered during the “mop-up operation” in Ugledar.
The heavily fortified town in the southern sector of the front was a linchpin of Ukrainian defenses in the area, with fighting raging there since August 2022. Ugledar also sits on a hill and consists almost entirely of high-rise concrete buildings, allowing for fire control of the surrounding terrain.
On Wednesday, TASS reported, citing sources, that some Ukrainian units in Ugledar suffered “huge losses” after failing to get out of the town in time.

fake yuckrainian news....
On October 3, Russia and Ukraine exchanged massive strikes in each other’s rear regions
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the past night, 113 UAVs were intercepted and destroyed by Russian air defense systems on duty. Most of these, 73 UAVs, were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region. Other drones targeted Voronezh, Kursk and Bryansk regions. The Ukrainian military attempts massive drone strikes in Russian rear on a regular basis but they rarely reach Russian military facilities. According to preliminary reports, today’s attack did not result in any heavy damage.
In their turn, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are pounding enemy military across Ukraine. Last night, Russian strikes were recorded in a dozen Ukrainian regions, including the capital Kiev. Explosions thundered in the central Vinnitsa, Poltava, Khmelnitsk regions, as well as in the western Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk, not to mention the war-torn eastern part of the country.
In Kharkiv, Ukrainian propaganda is trying its best to pass off the destruction in an apartment building as a result of a strike of Russian upgraded heavy bombs; but the footage clearly shows that the damage could not be compared to the destruction caused by such a powerful type of weapon. Apparently, this is another fault of Ukrainian air defense. Moreover, the locals reported that Ukrainian artillery was shelling the residential areas in the city. It is not clear whether Ukrainian artillery was trying to intercept Russian drones or it was aimed at inflicting more damage to civilian infrastructure necessary for propaganda.
The Ukrainian military lost the night strike battle and is suffering more defeats on the battlefields along the entire front. New frontlines start moving in the Donbass.
Amid the standoff in Volchansk, Russian forces repelled the enemy from the town of Stanitsa located on the western bank of the Seversky Donets River.
After prolonged positional battles, Russian forces launched offensive operations and achieved new victories in the Seversk direction. On October 2, the Russian army took control of the village of Verhnekamenskoe. The liberated settlement is located only four kilometers east of the main Ukrainian stronghold of Seversk.
Russian assault groups are breaking trhough Ukrainian defense in heavy urban battles in Toretsk. The Russian zone of control is slightly expanding both in the city and in the local urban agglomeration. Russians advanced in Leonidovka located on the southwestern outskirts.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are surrounding Tsukurino. They advanced north of the settlement and took control of the dump of mine No. 40, which is an important height on the southern flank.
Meanwhile, the mop up operations continue in the fallen fortress of Ugledar. Russians regroup and replenish forces for further offensive.

Zelensky denies planning new purge
Ukrainian defense Minister Rustem Umerov and spymaster Kirill Budanov are reportedly not about to be fired
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has denied persistent rumors in Kiev that he intends to fire the defense minister and military intelligence chief, ostensibly over frontline failures.
Earlier this month multiple outlets reported that there have been discussions about replacing Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and the head of the military intelligence service (HUR), Kirill Budanov.
“I was not planning to do this,” Zelensky told reporters after meetings with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Monday evening. “I did not plan to replace Budanov. This information was circulating, yes. There was no such issue about Umerov either.”
A move to oust Budanov was reported by Forbes Ukraine and other media outlets earlier this month. According to Forbes’ sources, the HUR head has “strained relations” with Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, as well as General Aleksandr Syrsky, the supreme commander of the Ukrainian armed forces.
