If I was young enough, I would do a thesis of the songs of YOUNG Australian magpie… You would have noticed that the young magpies sing a different tune to the adult birds. The point of the study would be to compare several — say eleven — young maggies by making recordings and compare these with high accuracy. Are the tune exactly the same or do they babble with different notes?

Has this study been made before?

Same caper with comparing leaves of a tree or an entire plant species. Are they EXACTLY the same, even at scale? Or are the branching stems always unique, a bit like our fingerprints?
