Howard planning spending spree: Labor 

Federal Labor is warning that Prime Minister John Howard will go on an irresponsible spending spree at the Coalition's election campaign launch tomorrow. 

As the election campaign enters its final fortnight, both major parties are preparing for their official campaign launches in Brisbane this week. 

Finance Minister Nick Minchin has told Channel Ten that Mr Howard's major policy pitches will be financially responsible.
