donald's peace deal.....

The US has presented its allies with details of its peace plan to bring the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to an end, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing European officials familiar with the matter.

The proposal, outlined during a meeting in Paris on Thursday, reportedly includes easing sanctions on Russia, as well as terminating Ukraine’s aspirations to join NATO. The roadmap would effectively freeze the conflict and leave former Ukrainian territories that are part of Russia under Moscow’s control, the sources suggested.

One of the officials told Bloomberg that the proposal still had to be discussed with Kiev, adding that the plan would not actually amount to a definitive conflict settlement. Kiev’s European backers would not recognize the territories as Russian, the source suggested.

The US delegation at the Paris meetings, which involved senior officials from several countries, was led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House special envoy Steve Witkoff. They met with French President Emmanuel Macron and also held discussions with top officials from France, Germany, the UK, and Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump has said that Washington could abandon efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict if Moscow and Kiev don’t engage in negotiations. He added, however, the US still hopes to see the fighting come to an end.

The US and Ukraine have signed a preliminary outline of a rare-earths deal, a senior official in Kiev has said. The potential agreement – which the US views as a way to return money spent on assistance to Kiev in the conflict with Moscow – could be signed as early as next week.

The announcement was made on Friday by Yulia Sviridenko, Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister and minister of the economy.

“We are happy to announce the signing, with our American partners, of a Memorandum of Intent, which paves the way for an Economic Partnership Agreement and the establishment of the Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine,” she wrote.

The minister, however, did not disclose any details of the document, and did not say how the fund would be sourced.

Sviridenko called the document “the result of the professional work of the negotiating teams” during talks last week. “We continue to work on the Agreement itself. There is a lot to do, but the current pace and significant progress give reason to expect that the document will be very beneficial for both countries,”she added.

The West has waged a “proxy war”against Russia via Ukraine and lost it, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.

Hungary, a member of the EU, has repeatedly criticized the bloc’s policies on the Ukraine conflict, particularly its sanctions on Moscow and weapons deliveries to Kiev.

In an interview with OT YouTube channel published on Thursday, Orban said the whole “Western world” has thrown its weight behind Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, which he described as a “proxy war.”

His assessment echoed that of Moscow, which has long characterized the hostilities as a de facto conflict with the West.

According to the Hungarian prime minister, the West has lost but “European leaders are hesitant to admit” failure. He argued that this outcome will have a big impact on the entire West, as “losing a war is a serious thing.”

Orban went on to say that European leaders are “offering Ukraine to continue the war and in return receive European Union membership.” He argued that this would be problematic as Ukraine is no longer sovereign and cannot support itself.

Regarding the US, the Hungarian prime minister said Washington is in a better position thanks to President Donald Trump’s approach, having broken with the Ukraine policies pursued by his predecessor, Joe Biden.

According to Orban, Trump “saved the US from a serious defeat.”

Speaking to Hungary’s Kossuth Radio last month, Orban described the EU’s policies on Ukraine as “rudderless.” He warned that Brussels, with its hardline position, risks becoming irrelevant as Trump actively works toward securing a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Earlier in March, Orban told the YouTube channel Patriota that the EU was feeding Kiev “empty promises” as it “doesn’t have a single penny left… [to] continue arming Ukraine, maintaining the Ukrainian army, and funding the functioning of the Ukrainian state.”

His comments came after Budapest refused to endorse a joint EU communique calling for an increase in military aid to Kiev.

TID EXCLUSIVE

“THE SILENT SLAUGHTER: Ukraine’s Hidden Death Toll and the $40 Billion Black Hole of Blood Payments”
By Gordon Duff | The Intel Drop | April 2025

Kyiv, April 2025 — While the world fixates on the geopolitical theater of Washington summits and Paris peace proposals, a silent and systematic obliteration of Ukraine’s military-age population is unfolding at a rate too horrific to publicly confront. A brutal reckoning is underway—revealed not by satellite data or battlefield reports, but by cold exchanges of bodies, and an equally cold trail of missing money.

On April 18th, Ukraine received 909 bodies of fallen soldiers from Russia. In exchange, Russia recovered just 41. This is not an aberration—it is part of a pattern so grotesque, it threatens the moral foundation of the entire Western narrative around the war.

Let’s be brutally clear: Ukraine is losing at least 10 soldiers for every 1 Russian killed. These are not estimations. These are the numbers agreed to in formal body exchanges—silent admissions by both sides of a grotesque truth. This is the “strategic imbalance” Western media refuses to print. And behind this imbalance is a multi-billion-dollar betrayal of the families of the dead.

Over 1 Million Ukrainian Dead. Just 30,000 Families Paid.

Independent analyses estimate that over 1,000,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since the beginning of the Russian operation in 2022. And yet—only 30,000 families have received death compensation.

Let that number sink in.

This means that the government of Ukraine has quietly pocketed or misappropriated the equivalent of over $40 billion in compensation payments owed to the families of fallen soldiers—funds supplied in large part by U.S. and EU taxpayers, allegedly for “military readiness” and “support to the Ukrainian people.”

Where is this money?

Where are the public lists of the fallen?

Where are the military pensions for their children?

Where are the graves?

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has been unable—or unwilling—to publish a full accounting of war dead. The cities of Kharkiv, Lviv, and Dnipro show massive discrepancies between death certificates issued and actual burials. Ukrainian families are left with silence, bureaucracy, and sometimes, a black plastic bag delivered by an unmarked van.

A War Fought by the Unburied and the Forgotten

Exchanges over the past four months show a consistent slaughter:

  • April 18: 909 Ukrainian bodies for 41 Russian
  • March 28: 909 for 43
  • Feb 14: 757 for 45
  • Jan 24: 757 for 49

This grotesque arithmetic proves beyond doubt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have become a conveyor belt of cannon fodder, fed into what frontline soldiers now bitterly call “The Furnace.”

Behind the rhetoric of democracy and defense lies a system of forced mobilization, barrier squads that shoot retreating soldiers, and conscription of men well into their 50s—often sent to frontlines with little more than a uniform and a helmet.

Russia, meanwhile, continues to rotate trained contract units, maintain artillery superiority (by a ratio of 3:1 or more), and dominate the airspace with glide bombs and drones. Every new body exchange confirms the cost of Ukraine’s untenable attrition strategy.

The Equal Swap Illusion

To disguise the vast imbalance in battlefield casualties, Kyiv has pushed for “balanced” prisoner swaps—equal numbers returned on both sides—to fabricate the illusion of parity. But body exchanges tell the real story.

Worse, Kyiv abruptly halted “all-for-all” POW exchanges in March, fearing public collapse of morale if the true number of Ukrainian captives were revealed. The reality? Ukraine is running out of men, and they are desperately trying to control the narrative as villages are left without fathers, sons, or brothers.

The “Great Lie” of the West

Behind the casket-counting lies an even deeper betrayal: the moral fraud committed by the Western governments funding this war. Washington and Brussels know the real numbers. They know where the aid money is going—or not going. Yet they continue to back a regime that withholds death payments from grieving families, recruits children from rural provinces, and lies about the survival odds of those deployed.

This is no longer about liberty or defense. This is about sacrifice without dignity, war without end, and betrayal without remorse.

A Reckoning Is Coming

The $40 billion in unpaid compensation represents not only theft, but an unthinkable betrayal of trust. One million dead. Their names unspoken. Their families unpaid. Their sacrifices unremembered by the very nation that called them heroes.

If justice exists, it must begin with accounting for the deadpaying what is owed, and ending the lie that Ukraine’s cause is still sustainable. As Russia buries its dead one by one, Ukraine burns through a generation.

stark choice.....

PAST VIRTUAL EVENT: UKRAINE’S CRITICAL CHOICE: PURSUE PEACE OR FIGHT ON

The Trump administration is pursuing a quick end to the war in Ukraine, but it has so far failed to enact a temporary ceasefire. President Trump has pressured Kyiv to accept his terms or risk losing U.S. support, while exerting less pressure on Moscow to negotiate in good faith. With Russia still making maximalist demands and Ukraine unwilling to surrender, an end to hostilities could be a ways off.

Ukraine faces a stark choice: pursue peace, on President Trump's terms, with U.S. backing at the negotiating table or fight on without critical American military and political support.

What are the current prospects for peace between Russia and Ukraine? Do the Ukrainians have any realistic options other than to accept a U.S.-backed peace plan? Should the U.S. be willing to walk away if the Ukrainians won’t accept a peace deal? Will Europe step in as Ukraine’s main backer if the United States sheds this responsibility?

Join our panel of experts to discuss current events in Ukraine, Europe, and the United States and the prospects for bringing this war to an end.
