It’s been a while since we’ve heard much about Joe Biden, hasn’t it? Yet here he is, back in the headlines – not because of some triumphant return to form, but for all the wrong reasons. The former US president has once again found himself at the center of national attention, thanks to a sequence of revealing and deeply troubling events.

It began with Axios publishing the full audio of Biden’s now-infamous interview with special prosecutor Robert Hur. The same interview in which Hur concluded that the then president suffered from serious memory issues. As the recording confirmed, he wasn’t wrong. Biden struggled to recall basic facts – even the date his son died.

Days later, another bombshell dropped: Biden had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. The news barely had time to circulate before the release of Original Sin, a book by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson, tore down what little remained of the White House facade.

The authors didn’t just suggest that Biden had declined mentally during his presidency. They asserted that he had not been governing at all. Instead, they described a ‘Politburo’ of family members and close aides who effectively ran the United States in his name. It’s a term that will sound all too familiar to the Russian ear, and one that cuts deeper than many Americans might realize.

For years, critics of the US establishment – especially abroad – have joked about the ‘Washington Obkom’, a reference to the old Communist Party regional committees of the Soviet Union. Today that comparison doesn’t seem like satire. It feels like a diagnosis.

It’s especially ironic that these revelations are coming not from conservative firebrands or Russian media, but from the very liberal American outlets – CNN, Axios – that worked so hard in 2024 to prop up the Biden administration and conceal the cracks forming behind the curtain. 

But I’m less interested in their delayed honesty than in the questions Americans are now starting to ask. How did the United States, with all its checks and balances, end up with a gerontocratic shadow government? Why did Washington begin to resemble Moscow circa 1982?

Let’s start there.

A gerontocracy emerges when the ruling elite can no longer tolerate change. In the USSR, it was the ageing leadership of the Communist Party that clung to power. In the US, it’s the political generation that peaked in the 1990s and 2000s, the last so-called ‘consensus’ generation in American politics. Their grip on power outlasted their ideas. Though Democrats and Republicans had their differences, they broadly agreed on the same post-Cold War worldview. They ran the show for decades – until Donald Trump shattered that illusion in 2016.

Trump’s rise forced a reckoning. On the right, younger Republicans moved toward a more nationalist, populist agenda. On the left, Democrats tacked hard toward identity politics and expanded welfare, partly driven by their reliance on minority voting blocs and partly by the legacy of Barack Obama’s progressive rhetoric.

By the time Trump’s first term ended, the American political elite faced a nightmare: if they handed power to the next generation, they risked total collapse. The establishment Republicans had already been steamrolled by Trump’s base. Democrats feared the same fate if they embraced their more radical progressives.

Their solution was to cling to the past. Enter Joe Biden, a relic of the consensus era, sold to voters as a unifying moderate. In reality, he was a placeholder. A human firewall designed to stop the rising tide on both sides. The hope was that a return to ‘normal’ would restore calm. Instead, it prolonged the crisis. Biden, like Brezhnev before him, became the living embodiment of a system unable to face reality.

And now, as Americans look back on the Biden years, they are forced to reckon with the consequences of their denial. Power didn’t disappear, it simply drifted into backrooms and family circles. Decision-making was outsourced to unaccountable figures behind the scenes. And the public was kept in the dark. Even Biden himself, we now know, was shielded from bad polling numbers.

But the deeper lesson is more uncomfortable. Change comes whether you want it to or not. The US establishment tried to shut out the new generation. It only worked temporarily. Trump is back in power. Yes, he is old. But unlike Biden, he has surrounded himself with younger, dynamic figures who are already shaping the Republican Party’s future.

The Democrats, by contrast, have learned nothing. Despite their crushing defeat in 2024, the old leadership continues to resist renewal. And now it’s costing them. Just recently, the Republicans passed Trump’s major tax bill in the House of Representatives by a single vote. That vote was lost because Democratic Congressman Gerry Connolly, aged 75, had passed away just before the session.

He was the third Democrat to die in office this year.

This morbid pattern hasn’t gone unnoticed. Americans have begun to joke grimly that the Democratic Party is literally dying. And the punchlines, as dark as they may be, contain more truth than fiction.

Washington is starting to resemble Brezhnev’s Moscow – not just in age, but in inertia. In the end, the lesson isn’t about personalities. It’s about systems that refuse to adapt. Systems that cling to the past until the present falls apart.

The ‘Washington Obkom’ may have seemed like a Russian jest once. It’s not a joke anymore.

Why Are Western Leaders Such Deranged Clowns?

A lot of noticing has been going on lately. People are noticing the Gaza genocide. They’re noticing that Western leaders, especially American ones, are enabling it. And they’re noticing the relationship between genocide complicity and the abysmal quality of leadership that prevails in today’s West.

The latest episode of False Flag Weekly News, featuring Prof. Oliver Boyd-Barrett, tackled the bad leadership issue head-on. We opened by discussing two notable essays, both published this week: A.J. Smuskiewicz’s “Dementia Joe and President Sybil: Pathologies of American Presidents” and Prof. Boyd-Barrett’s own “Aggressive Virus Feeds on Brains of Western Leaders” (a follow-up to his “Devious US Intention and Incompetence Always Good for Genocide.”)

Smuskiewicz notes that POTUS-46 a.k.a. “Dementia Joe, better known as Genocide Joe” was even more brain-dead than we realized, as explained in Jake Tapper’s new book. Coincidentally, just as Tapper’s book was raising questions of extreme malfeasance and possible treason on the part of Zombie Biden’s handlers, we learned that Biden has been “suddenly” diagnosed with a 9/10 Gleason score prostate cancer that must have been spreading for many years. Did Biden’s handlers cover that up too? Oliver Boyd-Barrett comments:

 

Let’s just accept that he was suffering from dementia and that for a long period of time, we had a president who wasn’t really functional. But you might say that, well, a president who has made good choices of advisor and the secretaries of state and so on, that nonetheless, a good government can be maintained. But what in fact happened, we had people like Sullivan and Blinken take over the shop on behalf of the neocon cabal that has essentially ruled until Trump’s inauguration, at least, and I think actually still rule the United States.

 

So having a brain-dead zombie president controlled by neocon cabal handlers was actually quite convenient for that neocon cabal. It enabled the world’s first live-streamed genocide, for one thing. Does the cabal still rule? Are they using another deranged septuagenarian?

Trump’s derangement manifests in the erratic behavior satirized by Smuskiewicz:

 

NATO and the U.S. provoked Russia to invade Ukraine. Putin invaded Ukraine unprovoked because he wants to take over the whole country—and maybe Poland too. We will stop all weapons to Ukraine. We will send more and better weapons to Ukraine. Ukraine needs to hold elections. Ukraine does not need to hold elections. We have a minerals deal. We do not have a minerals deal. No European troops should be in Ukraine. European troops should be in Ukraine. The U.S. should stop all involvement in Ukraine. The U.S. should take over Ukraine’s power plants. I’m talking to Putin. I’m not talking to Putin. I just talked to Putin. Who is Putin?

Israel should finish the job in Gaza and do whatever it takes to eliminate Hamas and win the war there. Israel needs to stop the fighting and killing in Gaza. People in Gaza are suffering and want to live in peace. We will help them. People in Gaza don’t want peace. They are terrorists and must be destroyed. Israel can kick out all the Palestinians and take over Gaza. I’m going to buy Gaza and build resorts and casinos there. It will be beautiful for everyone! Netanyahu is an SOB and I hate him. I just s—ed Bibi’s c–k in the Oval Office while Miriam watched, and I told them both that I will do whatever they want me to do.

We totally crushed the evil weakling Houthis in Yemen. The Houthis are brave and strong fighters. Ahmed al-Sharaa is an evil terrorist with a $10 million bounty on his head. Ahmed al-Sharaa is a very attractive man with a strong past. He serves delicious tea, and I really love his beard! Iran has a right to enrich uranium for its nuclear program. Iran must stop all uranium enrichment and end its nuclear program.

I love tariffs! Tariffs will be 10 percent. No, 20 percent. 25 percent. No wait, make it 50 percent. Okay, how about 125 percent? Would you believe 145 percent? Just wait, I’ll make them a hundred thousand million billion trillion zillion percent! The biggest tariffs anyone ever saw, it’ll be a record! Everyone will be amazed! Oh, just forget about it, we’ll go back to 10 percent. Tariffs? I don’t want any tariffs. I don’t like ‘em.

 

You don’t have to exaggerate much to write satire these days, as I have learned the hard way (or should I say the easy way). And if you’re looking for a plausibly unflattering psychiatric diagnosis of Genocide Don, Bandy Lee and her colleagues have been working on it for almost a decade.

Dementia Joe and Dementia Don (a.k.a. Genocide Joe and Genocide Don) may be extreme cases, but they exemplify the clownish level of leadership extant throughout today’s Western Empire. The evilest clown, of course, is Netanyahu, whose lust for torture-murdering young people makes John Wayne Gacy look like a piker.

But Bibi isn’t the only evil clown who bears responsibility for the world’s first live-streamed genocide. Take Macron and Starmer—please.

Macron just “took center stage” in overthrowing democracy in Romania. The winner and rightful Romanian president, Călin Georgescu, had his victory annulled by an oligarch-controlled court on the grounds that Russia had “interfered.” A new rigged vote was held, and the oligarchs inserted someone named Nicursor Dan (no relation to Steely). Prof. Boyd-Barrett offered some background:

 

I suppose the bottom line to my mind, Kevin, is that there is a longstanding warmth relationship between France and Romania. French is quite widely understood and used in Romania, by the way. So this is something that Macron is able to build on. But to get to the bottom line, the main thing here, I think, is in the light of previous statements from Macron and previous actions by Macron, the main thing is whether Macron, supposedly on behalf of the European Union, can send French troops into Romania and position them in such a way that they would have ready access from a Romanian position into Ukraine supposedly to defend Odessa against further Russian penetration of Ukraine.

I think that that’s the bottom line here. In order for Macron to be able to do that, he and the European Union need to sustain good relations with Romania. And this is almost certainly, in my view, what’s behind these recent shenanigans that have been going on with the saga of the Romanian elections. As you pointed out, we had a regular election in November or December last year, 2024. The leading candidate and who won the first round, Georgescu, was not at all in favor of the continuing Romanian participation in Europe’s war against Russia over the Ukraine as a proxy. And all of a sudden, after the first round results showed Georgescu in the lead, quite mysteriously, Romanian intelligence fabricated a stupid story about how the election had been corrupted by some kind of Russian advertisements and suchlike on TikTok. It was almost as stupid as the allegations made about Trump back in the 2016 elections in the United States.

But this time they actually did overturn the election, unlike with Trump. So the Romanian Constitutional Court just closed the election down. And there are many reports that they did this with the total encouragement, if not under the command, of sources in Brussels from the European countries. So they then went into a totally new election round, in which a gentleman called Simeon did very well in the first round and was totally expected to carry the second round, but mysteriously failed to do so. Instead, this gentleman, Dan, comes from more or less from nowhere. He’s a total centrist. He’s totally supportive of the European Union.

In any case, Macron is now feeling empowered. He’s got a friend in Romania. If he wants to, on behalf of the Coalition of the Braindead, to send in a contingent of 10-part French troops with a view to attacking a Russian advance into Odessa….Well, good luck to him. And let’s hope that it won’t trigger World War III, which it might very well do, by the way.

 

Macron has been plausibly accused of promiscuous homosexuality. His wife, formerly his teacher, molested him when he was fifteen. Candace Owens has trumpeted theories that Macron’s wife is a man, while Ron Unz suspects those and other bizarre and baseless allegations may have been fostered by Macron’s own cover-up team to distract from the real scandals—just as the “Michelle Obama is a man” theory has diverted attention from the more plausible allegations of Larry Sinclair that Obama is a promiscuous cocaine-abusing homosexual and that people have been murdered to cover up that fact.

Are Western leaders a bunch of rapists (Bill Clinton and Trump have been plausibly accused) and perverts (the Bush family, Obama, Biden)? A recent outbreak of fires at UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s house, blamed as always on the Russians, has heightened that impression:

 

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer did not pay for escort services with three young Ukrainians, so they decided to take revenge on him and set fire to the house. This is reported by the Ukrainian TV channel “Politics of the country” with reference to the British media. (source)

 

By torching Starmer’s house and blaming unpaid call-boys, somebody might be sending a message. The same kind of message was delivered to Bill Clinton in the mid-1990s by a Zionist-oligarch-asset named Monica Lewinsky. The ensuing scandal undermined Clinton’s political capital and distracted him, preventing him from forcing Israel to comply with the Oslo peace process, and torpedoing Clinton’s hopes of going down in history as “the president who brought peace to the Middle East.”

So if Western leaders are basically a bunch of clownish perverts, that’s probably by design. The Jewish-Zionist oligarchs who rule the West specialize in political blackmail, as the Jeffrey Epstein affair illustrated. Since the days when J. Edgar Hoover had blackmail material on just about everyone of significance, and Zionist Jewish mob boss Meyer Lansky had blackmail material on Hoover, [[[the oligarchs]]] have used their money and organized-crime-i.e.-covert-ops capacities to make sure that they control Western leaders. Talentless nobodies like child-molester Dennis Hastert get promoted to high positions precisely because Zionist Jews have filmed them diddling kiddies. That’s how the selection process works.

No wonder they’re all such evil clowns.

But people are starting to notice. They’re noticing evil clownery in high places. They’re noticing Jeffrey Epstein. They’re noticing Israel’s genocide of Gaza, and the complicity of the evil clowns the Jewish oligarchs have selected to lead the West.

They’re even noticing that noticing is now a sign of antisemitism.

All of this noticing reminds me of Mme. Defarge’s knitting needles in A Tale of Two Cities. It remains to be seen how much more noticing will have to happen before people finally get fed up with evil clownery and start storming fortresses and setting up guillotines.

“Bad Things” Happen in Washington

There were quite a lot of what Donald Trump might describe as “bad things” taking place in Washington over the past week, to include the worsening of relations with China shortly after what appeared to be an agreement had been reached over tariffs; the arrival at an apparent impasse in negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program; and friction with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over possible initiatives relating to the genocide that is continuing in Gaza.

The pointless break with China, tweeted by Trump as follows: “The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!” will have potentially major consequences for the US economy. However, perhaps the most lethal cross-talking of the past week relates to Russia and Ukraine, where the demands by President Donald Trump to initiate a ceasefire have been met by a Russian reiteration of its redline national security imperatives to include no Ukrainian entry into NATO, acceptance that Crimea is part of Russia, and either autonomy or incorporation into Russia of the Russian ethnic oblasts in the eastern part of Ukraine.

This has led to a considerable cooling in the bilateral relationship between Moscow and Washington and it also suggests that Trump’s apparent desire to disengage from Ukraine has now taken on a Neoconnish tone with the United States presuming that it must be the accepted hegemon which by rights should be calling the shots on what might come next. And Trump is not above issuing ill-advised new personal threats against Russian President Vladimir Putin whom he described as “absolutely crazy,” as well as a warning that even stronger Treasury Department sanctions targeting Russia are being considered. He angrily tweeted “What Vladimir Putin does not realize is that, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He’s playing with fire!” Trump’s son Donald Jr also threw into the mix a bit of Memorial Day context that well illustrates the vacuousness of the foreign policy thinking in the White House. Trump Jr, who apparently is being considered by some a possible candidate to succeed his father, tweeted on Trump Sr’s inane observation with his own take on the situation: “As we drove past the rows of white grave markers [at Arlington Cemetery], in the gravity of the moment…I also thought of…all the sacrifices we’d have to make—giving up a huge chunk of our business and all international deals.”

I don’t recall that either Trump ever put himself in harm’s way by serving in the US military. So much for sacrifices. Unfortunately, the clueless President Trump is also being backed up by some Europeans who, for reasons that are largely incomprehensible, seem to want to go to war with Russia. Germany has recently decided share their military technology to help Ukraine develop and build long range missiles that some believe might have to be initially operated and targeted by German military personnel, which Putin has said will be considered an act of war on the part of Berlin. He has suggested that he would respond to any attack on or near Moscow using those missiles fired from Ukraine with a counter-strike on the German capital. Some observers are warning that World War 3 could be a result of that kind of tit-for-tat.

The situation with Iran and Israel also seems to be on the verge of erupting into something much worse, possibly to include a regional escalation that could literally explode. If one can make a judgement based on the ranting by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as interpreted by many in the Israeli media, it would seem that Israel is preparing to interfere with US-Iranian talks by attacking so-called nuclear and military targets in Iran with the expectation that the US will be drawn into the conflict with little resistance from Trump, who in turn is being pressured by a large majority in Congress that is keen on “protecting” Israel. The Congressional demand is particularly ironic as it is Israel that is now and always been the aggressor throughout its region. It is also the lone nuclear power, with nutcases like Zionist Congressman Randy Fine of Florida already calling for “nuking” Gaza in the wake of the recent killing of the two Israeli Embassy officials in Washington.

Fine is only one of the many voices raised in unison to permit Israel to carry out hideous crimes that would not be acceptable if they were initiated by any other country. The Israel Lobby in the US has the power to silence nearly all dissent, as one might note from the Trump law enforcement’s full scale attack on protesters, mostly students. Those protesting have been demonstrating against the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people, something which Netanyahu and his ghastly array of murderer-associates do not even make any effort to conceal.

Deportations of foreign students who are appalled by what Israel is doing has been the policy, but more recently it has been expanded to include denying visas to many other students requiring the papers to study in the US. The State Department, which issues the documents, has been tasked with demanding access to potential students’ social media so they can be checked for undesirable content. Now that China is no longer considered a friend, Chinese students are being particularly investigated due to concerns that they might be spies stealing American industrial secrets.

The list of undesirable students is inevitably top heavy with any who have demonstrated against Israel or any who have supported attempts to “boycott, divest from or sanction” (BDS) Israel and its activities. Trump and his staff have repeatedly indicated that the objective is to get rid of foreign students who engage in “antisemitism, pro-Hamas support, or hatred of the United States” and his Administration has now demanded from Harvard and other colleges and universities records that identify all foreign students in the US on education visas to include information on what countries they come from. That means that not all countries will be regarded as equal under the new guidelines.

The witch hunt on foreign students will no doubt grow as there is little within the US government system but for some toothless muttering from the judiciary that would attempt to stop it. Interestingly, however, the way the war on demonstrators is being pursued supports the views of an increasing number of Americans who have negative views of Israel not only because of its war crimes but also due to its virtual control of many aspects of US foreign and national security policy. If Israel persists in its killing of babies that anger will grow, particularly if the United States is dragged into greater killing in Iran, Yemen and Palestine as an accomplice to the slaughter and as the protector of Israel after it does its dirty work. Indeed, Trump is fully on board to removing the Palestinians from what was once Palestine and Netanyahu totally endorses that agenda.

And the special status of the Israelis vis-à-vis the US government and media will become more and more evident as efforts are made to engage in a massive cover-up to protect the Israelis that pretends that the going to war is really in the national interest of the United States. That will mean fixing things so Israel suffers no damage from the consequences of its own actions. An interesting recent article described the plight of Israeli students at Harvard, who are currently subject to the same scrutiny as their fellow foreign nationals at the university, all of whom will reportedly lose their State Department student visas due to the college’s alleged failure to comply with White House demands. There are a reported 160 such students, a considerable portion of which consists of former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers, which means that they may have been party to the actual war crimes and human rights violations that are the source of the world’s negative perception of the Jewish state. Surely, the Trump Administration will jump in to protect these wonderful human beings so I rather suspect that there will soon be legislation that exempts Israeli students in the US from the consequences that the other foreign students are currently confronting. You can bet on it!

And so we have another week in Washington, full of bombast and misrepresentation of facts as the world crumbles around it. Only three years and five more months to go until the next presidential election! If we make it that far!
