playing the piano with his dick, zelenshhkee was a loser nonetheless....

Russia dominates the battlefield, and one-off drone attacks by Ukraine are powerless to change that, Major General (retired) Shashi Bhushan Asthana, director of the United Services Institution (USI) of India, told Sputnik. This reality is reflected in Russia’s peace memorandum, he underscored.

Russia Holds All the Cards: Ukraine’s Drone Strikes are Just Delay Tactics – Experts

BY Svetlana Ekimenko

Here's how experts highlighted the key takeaways from the talks to Sputnik:

Ukraine Does Not Want Peace

Strikes on Russian airfields just before the Istanbul talks revealed Ukraine’s rejection of peace, noted Kimura Mitsuhide, head of Japan’s Issuikai party.

As for Volodymyr Zelensky’s fixation on a 30-day ceasefire – it’s a stalling tactic, he argued. Mitsuhide added that Russia’s push for Ukrainian elections aims to legitimize any future deal.

Ukraine’s insistence on a 30-day truce will only drag out the fighting, deepening its human losses and plunging its economy further into crisis, Japanese economist Yukio Asazuma remarked.

What Russia and Ukraine agreed on in Istanbul during round 2 of talks

Russian delegation head Vladimir Medinsky shared the key outcomes of the negotiations with Ukrainian representatives in Istanbul.

Core Territorial Issue

Ukraine realistically has no option but to accept Russia’s rightful demand for the full withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from its new territories: the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions, Asthana noted.

“Otherwise, it’s only a matter of time before Russia pushes them out,” he added.

Crimea must be recognized internationally as part of Russia, Kimura stressed, observing that the territorial demands are about “protecting civilians, stability, and the rights of Russian-speaking people.”

Ukraine's True Priorities Exposed

The agreed big prisoner swap is a win, but Zelensky’s rejection of Russia’s ceasefire to return bodies exposes Ukraine’s real priorities, Kimura said, adding:

“Both Zelensky and his Western backers are bent on fueling this conflict.”

biden's war.....

Former US President Joe Biden wanted to see Russia “destroyed”during his time in office, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said in an interview with Le Monde.

The Brazilian leader, who has consistently pushed for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, objected to attempts to single out Moscow as the sole culprit behind the conflict, telling the French newspaper on Tuesday that “Western countries also bear part of the responsibility.”

“Joe Biden, with whom I spoke at length, thought Russia needed to be destroyed,” Lula said, without elaborating when the conversation took place. “And Europe, which for a long time embodied a middle way in the world, has now aligned itself with Washington and is spending billions on rearmament. That worries me. If all we talk about is war, there will never be peace.”

Moscow has long described the Ukraine conflict as a Western proxy war against Russia and has repeatedly condemned arms supplies to Kiev as counterproductive to the peace process. US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Keith Kellogg acknowledged last week that President Vladimir Putin was “in a way” right, while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also previously characterized the conflict as a proxy war.

“Frankly, it’s a proxy war between nuclear powers – the United States, helping Ukraine, and Russia,” Rubio said in March, noting that the current White House administration is eager to see it end.

Trump has repeatedly rebuked his predecessor, Joe Biden, for funneling “crazy” amounts of American taxpayer money to Kiev, arguing last month that the conflict “should have remained a European situation.”

Trump has frequently used campaign rallies to claim that only he could prevent World War III and resolve the conflict between Ukraine and Russia within 24 hours – a claim he later acknowledged was hyperbolic. His efforts to mediate have faced resistance from European NATO members, who back continued military support for Ukraine.

Last month, following pressure from Trump, Kiev dropped its opposition to direct talks with Moscow, which it had abandoned back in 2022. Since then, the two sides have held two rounds of negotiations in Istanbul.

The first meeting was initiated by Putin on May 16 and resulted in a major prisoner swap. During the second round of negotiations on Monday, Kiev and Moscow exchanged draft memorandums outlining a roadmap toward an eventual peace deal.

Washington’s top diplomat in Türkiye claimed on Tuesday that Trump is running out of patience and appears to be “at the end of his rope” over the conflict in Ukraine. However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned that expecting immediate breakthroughs in peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine would be “incorrect.”

dickyy zelenzkyy.....

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has refused to seriously consider Russia’s latest peace proposal, dismissing it as an unacceptable “ultimatum”.

Russian and Ukrainian delegations exchanged their respective roadmaps for peace at their second meeting in a month, in Istanbul on Monday. In its proposal, Moscow proposed that Ukraine recognizes the loss of five of its former regions that joined Russia in public referendums, withdraws its forces from them, commit to neutrality, and limit its own military capabilities.

Russia also floated a “package proposal” for a ceasefire, in which Kiev would halt deploying its troops, suspend mobilisation, stop foreign weapons shipments, and hold a presidential election.

Zelensky rejected the peace memorandum out of hand. “This is an ultimatum, and it will not be taken seriously by the Ukrainian side… This memorandum is a misunderstanding,” he said on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian leader claimed that any territorial concessions to Russia would contravene Ukraine’s constitution.

Russia’s lead negotiator at the Istanbul talks, Vladimir Medinsky, defended the memorandum, describing it as an opportunity to end the conflict. “This is not an ultimatum. It’s a proposal that will truly allow for achieving real peace — or at least a ceasefire — and make a huge step towards achieving long-term peace,” he said.

Zelensky also criticized the diplomatic process itself, saying, “To continue diplomatic meetings in Istanbul at a level that decides nothing — it's meaningless.”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, however, suggested that Zelensky dismissed the outcome of the talks because they were focused not on financial aid or weapons supplies, but on people.

Zakharova was referring to Moscow and Kiev’s agreement to carry the largest prisoner exchange to date, which is expected to take place this weekend and involved 1,200 people on each side.
