Éric Denécé was found dead on June 12, 2025. The official version claims suicide, a theory that the family of this troubled geopolitical analyst does not believe.

Anyone interested in geopolitical issues has at least once listened to or read Eric Denece, doctor of political science from the Panthéon-Assas University, former intelligence officer, ex-analyst for the French Navy then the SGDN, which became the SGDSN, creator of the Argos firm, then of the GEOS group, where he worked as an expert in economic intelligence. He had taught in universities, at the ENA, at the Joint Defense College, and regularly appeared on the most varied media platforms, both mainstream that alternatives and dissidents.

Since 2000, he has been the director of the French Intelligence Research Center CF2R.

He had notably denounced the sale of Alstom's energy division to General Electric and its consequences in terms of loss of national sovereignty. He also opposed the dominant vision in the war between Ukraine and Russia, criticized the non-compliance with the Minsk Agreements, the Maidan coup d'état and the belligerent escalation against Russia.

Éric Denécé was also the author of numerous reference works on the history of intelligence (including a "World Intelligence History» in eight volumes), terrorism and global geopolitics (let us remember his book on “Israeli Secret Service» and the one on «The Global Threat of Wahhabi Ideology").

It will be remembered that in October 2001, on LCI Eric Denécé was one of the first to doubt the official version of the September 11 attacks, claiming that the French intelligence services had warned their American counterparts – several days in advance – that an “internal coup” was being prepared.

After the death of the General Delawarde, it is another brilliant free spirit of geopolitical analysis who leaves us suddenly.

The Mossad managed to place systems with “precision-guided weaponry" deep in Tehran's territory, a source from the Israeli intelligence told Euronews on condition of anonymity.
