Russian Influencer Records Emotional Video Address to Putin. Kremlin Responds

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the appeal of blogger Victoria Bonya to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 Speculation and Online Reactions

On April 14, Bonya published an 18-minute video in which she addressed the head of state. Among other things, she proposed creating a platform that would allow Russians to communicate directly with Putin.

An Instagram user (owned by Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia) with the nickname vitorio091 suggested a connection between Bonya's appeal and reports that Russia might ease internet restrictions. He posted a video about this on his account.

"12:00 — Victoria Bonya records a long appeal to the president. 14:00 — Authorities plan to ease Telegram restrictions. Victoria Bonya has been studied by three percent…” the author joked.

Another blogger known as Historian-Alcoholic also joked about this connection on Telegram. According to him, Bonya protects the Russian internet in the same way that naval ships protect Russian tankers in international waters.

"The Russian economy has only two allies: the navy and its Insta-bimbos!” the blogger noted.

Reports of Possible Policy Changes

On April 14, Forbes, citing sources familiar with the situation, reported that Russia may ease restrictions on internet platforms. This includes, among other things, limitations affecting the Telegram messenger.

Shortly before that, Bonya recorded an 18-minute video in which she addressed the Russian president. In the video, she proposed creating a platform for direct communication between citizens and Putin and stated that it is necessary to "break through the wall” between the country's citizens and the president.

Blogger Responds to Kremlin Reaction

Blogger Victoria Bonya later thanked Dmitry Peskov for responding to her video appeal. A video in which she became emotional after the Kremlin's reaction was published on her Instagram account (owned by Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia).

"Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had seen my video appeal to the president. (…) I want to thank Dmitry Peskov for saying that work is already underway on the issues that were raised,” Bonya stated.

What Bonya Said in Her 18-Minutre Video

In her 18-minute video, Victoria Bonya addressed Vladimir Putin with a mix of criticism and proposals, focusing mainly on the gap between the authorities and ordinary citizens.

1. “There is a wall between the people and the president”
Her central point was that Russians cannot directly reach or be heard by the president. She described a kind of barrier—bureaucratic and informational—that filters or blocks real public concerns before they reach the top.

2. Proposal: a direct communication platform

  • people should be able to submit issues openly,

The video wasn’t just analytical—it was personal and emotional, framed as a sincere appeal rather than a political statement. She positioned herself as a mediator trying to “break through” to the president on behalf of people.

Bonya’s message wasn’t about a specific policy—it was about access and communication. She argued that the system between citizens and the president is broken and proposed a direct channel to fix it.

SOMETIMES IT IS INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT WAS WRITEN MANY MOONS AGO ABOUT "MORALITY"... HERE IS AN EXTRACT FROM CHARLES FOURIER [EARLY 19TH CENTURY], THE "FATHER" OF "COMMUNAL UTOPIAN LIVING" AND THE INVENTOR OF THE WORD "FEMINISM"... [BOLD BY GUS]

 

[COUNTER-MORALITY] can be divided into nine branches which have not yet been distinguished. These are: r. theaters; z. novels; 3. the genteel world; 4. occupational ethics; 5. submissive women; 6. rebellious children; 7. social outcasts; P. high society; T. necessary usages. Each of these nine varieties includes many sub-species. I am only indicating the principal ones.

Let's take a look at this gallery of counter-moralists in which the lessons taught in plays and novels are so well practiced by the genteel world. What does it care about the 10,000 systems of sweet and pure morality which forbid a girl to have a lover, much less two or three? Just try advising a girl to leave her lovers and to go taste the charms of moral virtue. She will tell you that virtue consists in having just one true lover plus a prosperous protector. Similarly every portion of the genteel world has its own well-established counter-morality with principles and doctrines which are observed to the letter. The dogmas of morality, on the other hand, are never put into practice; they are the masks worn by hypocrisy.

 

Let's turn to occupational ethics. Can you convince a tenant farmer that he is immoral when he pilfers from the landowner? As for tradesmen who cheat their customers, will they listen to moral remonstrances such as Fénelon's claim that it is better to die than to tell a lie? Try to preach this morality to a salesman. Every trade has its counter-morality and its principles. Take "A man who eats and drinks the servant for example. He says By virtue of this principle he well does his master no harm. makes off with the most costly foods and the best wines.

 

Big business is in a class by itself in counter-morality; it sees virtue in great crimes. To starve a country and to paralyze industry through the hoarding of commodities is the way to win the respect of the merchants and even of the moralists, who praise all successful crimes. By means of its monopolistic connivings commerce can sometimes topple an empire (Napoleon). That is counter-morality on a grandiose scale. [TRUMP?]

 

Women of good character play a disguised role in counter-morality; they are all in agreement to elude the sacred laws of conjugal fidelity (while avoiding publicity). Their refrain is:

"If there is no scandal and if things are carried on discretely, there is no harm done." In return for this they have the right to carp about the misdeeds of the genteel world to which they do not belong-so they say.

 

Children are nature's echoes against morality; they are all in league to escape its rules. Their only source of happiness lies in activities forbidden by their moralistic teachers — in breaking, destroying, quarreling and insulting. They honor a person who excels in these respects, and they tease and abuse those who are inclined to obey the authorities.

 

Next come the social outcasts, and first of all the passive ones or slaves. Aristotle did not know of any virtue proper to a slave. Why then does your perfectible civilization persist in creating whole classes of men who are lacking both in virtue and in good character? A master rapes or seduces the wife or child of his slave, and morality obliges the slave to endure everything, even the whippings that he will receive if he complains about the rape of his wife.

 

Then there are the active social outcasts such as swindlers, prostitutes, agitators, and among the lesser breeds: pickpockets, highwaymen, ex-convicts steeped in the counter-morality of the jail-house and the prison, calculating beggars with their chiefs and their own special rules. This whole category of men who have broken with society forms another powerful cohort in the ranks of counter-morality.

 

Finally high society and courtiers: these people do not think themselves obliged to practice morality; they regard it as a means of restraining the common people and the bourgeoisie. In their eyes morality is an intellectual police force which protects their own security. They control morality and do not obey it; the only thing they follow is their own anti-moral whims.

 

Subjugated people, the victims of circumstance: Soldiers whose profession prevents them from "thinking of marriage, unless there is a large dowry, are obliged to seek out illicit relationships, adulterous affairs, fornications. The same applies to travelers, celibate priests, poor young people and unwedded girls; this whole class has been won over to counter-morality.

 

Deducting this litany of classes addicted to counter-morality, what classes remain for morality? Those who preach it by profession. Does it follow that they practice it?
