blowback, schmowback .....
A lingering technical question about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks still haunts some, and it has political implications: How did 200,000 tons of steel disintegrate and drop in 11 seconds? A thousand architects and engineers want to know, and are calling on Congress to order a new investigation into the destruction of the Twin Towers and Building 7 at the World Trade Center. "In order to bring down this kind of mass in such a short period of time, the material must have been artificially, exploded outwards," says Richard Gage, a San Francisco architect and founder of the non-profit Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Mr. Gage, who is a member of the American Institute of Architects, managed to persuade more than 1,000 of his peers to sign a new petition requesting a formal inquiry. "The official Federal Emergency Management [Agency] and National Institute of Standards and Technology reports provide insufficient, contradictory and fraudulent accounts of the circumstances of the towers' destruction. We are therefore calling for a grand jury investigation of NIST officials," Mr. Gage adds. The technical issues surrounding the collapse of the towers has prompted years of debate, rebuttal and ridicule. He is particularly disturbed by Building 7, a 47-story skyscraper, which was not hit by an aircraft, yet came down in "pure free-fall acceleration." He also says that more than 100 first-responders reported explosions and flashes as the towers were falling and cited evidence of "multi-ton steel sections ejected laterally 600 ft. at 60 mph" and the "mid-air pulverization of 90,000 tons of concrete & metal decking." http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/feb/22/inside-the-beltway-70128635/

If only - if only?
How important is the corporation's media to the issues which frighten the US people?
When the indignity and horror of 9/11 was broadcast all over the world, I must confess that my reaction was for the people who died and/or were crippled by this tragic event.
Ever since that happened, there has been doubts and contrary evidence that there was more to this disaster than meets the eye but, it gave the world a reason for the US to attack Afghanistan even though they had nothing to do with it. In fact the Taliban (the "in place" government of that nation) offered to produce Osama bin Laden for trial PROVIDED that it was independent. The US refused - and played on the gullibility of their subservient nations (like Australia) to illegally invade a sovereign nation.
Could it be that, at the turn of the 20th century, the US corporations needed people fodder more than anything. Could it be that they allowed all sorts of nationalities to foolishly take "advantage" of the "roads paved with gold?" Such is the power of the unregulated press.
The original US has been re-vamped so many times that the original is unrecognizable. Like their Zionist counterparts in occupied Palestine, their REVOLUTION against their parent nation has been euphemized into a "War of Independence". Fair dinkum.
They have imposed this falsehood on the world regarding the Zionist occupation of Palestine and, only now is there any sincere information being allowed to show that the Zionists are a modern day NAZI.
And with this experience of truth and fact - we still allow ourselves to be influenced by the media barons of this world - especially Murdoch.
So, with my limited intelligence, I wonder why all nations of the world; no matter what belief they have; no matter the peace they have enjoyed for centuries; no matter how peaceful they may be or want to be; why does our government support their tormenters? What is our obligation to crime?
It is bad enough that we have been bludgeoned into believing that our freedom is dependant on the protection of the US - and that is crap (Tony Abbott style) but we have lost our dignity and independence and have become a duplicate of Iraq - without guts.
God bless Australia and do you have an Australian flag on your T/V? Or in your bedroom – loungeroom or computer?
The media and the lessons we must learn.
Michael Moore and - a far too small a group of American public figures - have questioned the sometimes confusing "official" report on the 9/11 tragedy as indeed they did like on the false information issued about the accidental boiler explosion in the USS "Maine" which precipitated the Spanish American war. "They hate us for our values"?
The false information that Woodrow Wilson used as an excuse for America to enter WW I in 1917 - because someone said that the Germans had sunk a US vessel in the English Channel - not true but thousands of young Americans paid the price of "They hated the US for our values".
The attempt by the Americans to cripple Japan (not a bad idea really) with a provocation that the somewhat ancient Japanese were not prepared to accept - "they hated the US for its values".
A meeting of German/Italian and Japanese for mutual defense that the Americans" listed them as the "Axis of Evil" who "hated the US for their values." A profitable war provoked?
And even now the Jewish/American powers of propaganda are still using that term - and we still buy it.
IMHO the KISS principle is that it all comes down to the power of the information providers, whether they are the Monarch's "Town Crier" or the media baron Murdoch and his hold on all propaganda issued in every capital city in Australia.
Bringing back Paul Keatings' Cross media ownership laws would be a start.
It is a shame on our well intended education of our children over recent decades is that we have taught them to read and write but, that asset has been turned into a liability by the MSM.
I cannot understand - or excuse - any government of any persuasion that permits the media to use expressions which do not give any authenticity or responsibility to the subject matter which the malignant Journalists use to further their employer's propaganda.
Is it too much to ask, in this day and age, WHO is the person who said, hypothetically, “he was of Islander appearance”. Everyone is an expert if it suits the media. Fair dinkum.
If a supposed "informant" wishes to remain anonymous - that can only be excused on the basis of National Security. A case in point was the prosecution of the two Journalists from the Herald Sun who had the audacity to print the truth - and Howard/Downey used taxpayer's funds to sue them. Struth.
At the moment we have two ironically similar opinions with the "Mad Monk" and the Prime Minister. The "budgy smuggler" says that Kevin Rudd should cop the blame. And the Prime Minister says yes.
Let me bore you. When I joined the Navy we settled in a dormitory of 60 men in hammocks and, the “older” veterans (of a couple of months), decided to initiate us with a cold shower. I happened to have made a friend of a “Duke” Ellington from Darlinghurst Sydney who was quite capable of defending us both. However, when the fun boys came to us, Duke said relax and don’t oppose them. Struth Duke?
The lesson I learned then was that when your tormentors do not enjoy tormenting you, they give you a miss.
God Bless Australia and give us our independence. NE OUBLIE.
