I really don’t understand how you people see things. The US was a large part of the reason why Libya was destroyed and a large part of the reason why Syria is such a mess. The wars (regime change efforts) against both countries created the waves of refugees into Europe and the deaths tens or hundreds of thousands, and along the way emboldened terrorism in the region and across the world.

Greenpeace sought access to BP’s “well operation management plan”, held by the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority. Nopsema refused access to parts of the document, listing a range of reasons.

It cited one as “the likelihood of opposition/protest groups using the information to oppose all drilling activities in the Great Australian Bight”.

We await the crisis. It could be economic. It could be a terrorist attack within the United States. It could be widespread devastation caused by global warming. It could be nationwide unrest as the death spiral of the American empire intensifies. It could be another defeat in our endless and futile wars. The crisis is coming. And when it arrives it will be seized upon by the corporate state, nominally led by a clueless real estate developer, to impose martial law and formalize the end of American democracy.

I’ve committed a terrible crime. I don’t agree with a government policy.
