Any new deal to keep Russian gas flowing to the European Union through Ukraine would be a “dangerous”choice, the bloc’s energy chief, Kadri Simson, claimed on Tuesday.

EU countries are well prepared for a winter without Russian gas, the energy commissioner said at a news conference following a meeting of the bloc’s energy ministers in Luxembourg.

The comments also come as a key gas transit agreement between Moscow and Kiev is due to expire at the end of the year.

“There are no excuses, the EU can live without this Russian gas,” Simson said, as quoted by Bloomberg. “This is a political choice, and a dangerous one.” The European Commission is fully prepared for a zero-transit scenario thanks to alternative supply routes and strong levels of storage, Simson claimed.

President Joe Biden designated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a “Major Defense Partner” to the U.S. on Sept. 23, a decision announced following UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s (MbZ) trip to the White House — the first-ever visit for an Emirati president.

Anytime you have an entire nation so mesmerized by the antics of the political ruling class that they are oblivious to all else, you’d better beware.

Anytime you have a government that operates in the shadows, speaks in a language of force, and rules by fiat, you’d better beware.

And anytime you have a government so far removed from its people as to ensure that they are never seen, heard or heeded by those elected to represent them, you’d better beware.

We’ve got to get our priorities straight if we are to ever have any hope of maintaining any sense of freedom in America.

Mike Johnson has accused the network of gutting his answers on ‘Face the Nation’

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson has accused CBS of selectively editing his interview to change the context of what he said, posting the original footage on social media as proof.

While cutting pre-taped interviews for time is a standard practice, altering the content and context of the quoted statements is considered journalistic malpractice. Johnson claimed that CBS did just that to his appearance on Sunday’s episode of ‘Face the Nation’.

“This is not just about wildlife,” an expert said. “It’s about the essential ecosystems that sustain human life.”

Germany has halted all arms deliveries to Israel since March, with Berlin now demanding a written guarantee from the Israeli government that these weapons will not be used against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, according to media reports.
