and the fox winner is...
Rupert Murdoch, executive co-chairman of Fox News' parent company, wrote on Twitter that while Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz "bets uniting white conservatives/evangelicals enough [...] Trump appealing across party lines. Surely the winning strategy". Fox News gave GOP frontrunner Donald Trump more than twice as much interview airtime during 2015 compared to any other candidate, totaling nearly 23 hours across 119 appearances. http://mediamatters.org/blog/2016/01/17/rupert-murdoch-donald-trump-has-the-winning-str/208026

Jeb Bush Tells Fox Hosts: "I Only Get My News From Fox & Friends"
Bush Cites Fox News For His Clinton ClaimsBUSH: I don't -- I only get my news from Fox & Friends, so that's all I get. All I'm saying is that she's under investigation by the FBI. Just pause and think about that. That's not, that's a pretty uncommon thing for a presidential candidate. And each and every week it just seems like there's more information. Now there's, according to Fox again there's expanded investigation on the connection with the Clinton Foundation. This is a serious deal. So I'm, look, I want to win. I think the Republicans need to win. We need to unify. Hillary Clinton would be an unmitigated disaster for ideological purposes. But she also has this legal problem that would really undermine our country.

andrea tantaros declares war on iran...
If you believe the way Fox News covered it, the video that surfaced of Iran’s detention of 10 American sailors was an outrage, the entire incident was a failure of the Obama Administration, and it was totally out of line to thank the Iranians for returning our sailors safely. Join me as I recount the absurd crescendo of commentary from hawkish talking heads.
Details remain scarce, but news reports say Iran has detained two U.S. Navy small boats and 10…Read more
Watch this whole video if you can, but Andrea Tantaros’s comments are most outlandish, and would be hilarious if they weren’t so sad.

donald, the prophet...
“Am I a Bible toter that gets out and preaches on the side of the street and tries to convert everybody? No,” said Mr. Arning, 62, who calls himself an evangelical voter. He said he believed that Mr. Trump was “a Christian man,” and that was good enough.
Mr. Trump may not be as spiritually minded as former Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, who was a Baptist minister, “but I think his values are very much the same,” Mr. Arning said.
“His personal life is saintlike compared to Bill Clinton’s,” he added.
Brash, thrice-married, cosseted in a gilded tower high above Fifth Avenue and fond of swearing from the stage at his rallies, Mr. Trump, who has spent his career in pursuit, and praise, of wealth, would seem an odd fit for voters who place greater value on faith, hope and charity.

donald, the reluctant petulant bully, outfoxes himself...
US Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has abruptly withdrawn from a debate with party rivals out of anger at host Fox News.
Key points:The absence of Mr Trump will leave the last encounter before Iowa's first-in-the-nation nominating contest without the front-runner.
After a combative news conference held by the candidate, Mr Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told reporters that Mr Trump would definitely not be participating in the debate scheduled for Thursday (local time).
During the news conference, held before he addressed a large crowd in Marshalltown, a city and county seat in Iowa, Mr Trump expressed irritation that Fox News planned to leave in place as a moderator the anchor Megyn Kelly, whose questioning of Mr Trump at a debate last August angered him.
He also expressed displeasure at a Fox News statement that said Mr Trump would have to learn sooner or later that "he doesn't get to pick the journalists" and that "we're very surprised he's willing to show that much fear about being questioned by Megyn Kelly".
"I was all set to do the debate, I came here to do the debate," Mr Trump said.
"When they sent out the wise-guy press release done by some PR person along with [Fox News Chairman] Roger Ailes, I said: 'Bye bye, OK'.
"Let's see how much money Fox makes without me in the debate."
