donald spills the beans with high precision...An image of a failed Iranian launch tweeted by the US President set experts and netizens on their toes, as the high resolution of the photo cannot be achieved with known satellite technology. In a tweet posted Friday, US President Donald Trump posted a highly-detailed aerial photo of Iran’s Semnan Space Center Launch Site One, damaged and charred after an explosion which supposedly happened during the fueling of a rocket. “The United States of America was not involved in the catastrophic accident during final launch preparations for the Safir SLV Launch at Semnan Launch Site One in Iran. I wish Iran best wishes and good luck in determining what happened at Site One,” Trump tweeted, accompanied by the photo. However, it was the photo that attracted the attention of viewers, as the launch site is depicted in uncommonly high resolution. "I've never seen anything like this before," said David Schmerler, a leading expert on open-source imagery analysis, according to Business Insider. "I know that [the US military has] amazing capabilities, but I don't know what this is." Ankit Panda, an adjunct senior fellow at the Federation of American Scientists who specializes in analyzing satellite images, says the photo could only have been taken by a highly-classified military satellite. According to Panda, no commercial satellite he knows of is capable of such high resolution. The WorldView-2 satellite, produced by Maxar, can only provide a 46-centimeter resolution, a National Public Radio report says.

a drone or a satellite?...
"The resolution is amazingly high," says Panda. "I would think it's probably below well below 20 centimeters, which is much higher than anything I've ever seen."
Others, however, say that satellites have limitations, and suggest that the photo was taken from a drone.
"The atmosphere is thick enough that after somewhere around 11 to 9 centimeters, things get wonky," says Melissa Hanham, deputy director of the Open Nuclear Network at the One Earth Foundation.

As mentioned on this site before, taking pictures from satellites is not easy when starting to look at fine details like your number plates... But the refined spy technology has also been used in space in order to get details of meteorites or other stuff that ONE CAMERA alone cannot see by itself. So, imagine an array of three cameras pointing to the same thing, all with a slight spectrum shift. Similar technology was also used during WW2 with (filtered) stereoscopic images to give 3D effect. Nowadays, a computer can easily combine 3 images to increase the details in the final picture and give a 3D effect as well.
With infrared and other spectrum cameras, some of the fog of clouds can also be eliminated.
It could have been a drone though.
so what?...
A spokesman for the Iranian government, Ali Rabiei, said earlier that Tehran had sold the oil from the Adrian Darya - the former Grace 1- which had recently been released from Gibraltar's custody despite requests by Washington to continue to detain the ship, and was unaware of the boat's current destination.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday claimed that the Adrian Darya 1 is headed to Syria.
"We have reliable information that the tanker is underway and headed to Tartus, Syria. I hope it changes course", Pompeo said.
A source familiar with the matter said earlier that the tanker was heading toward the city of Iskenderun in southern Turkey. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier on Friday said, however, that the renamed ship was now headed to Lebanon.
The former Grace 1 was captured by Gibraltar authorities, supported by UK troops, off the Gibraltar coast on 4 July on suspicions of transporting oil to Syria in violation of EU sanctions. In mid-August, the vessel was released, as Gibraltar reportedly said it had received written assurances from the captain of the vessel that the tanker was not going to deliver its cargo to Syria. Tehran denied making such statements.
The United States issued a warrant to seize the tanker for breaching international law by allegedly making illegal oil shipments to Syria. A US court ruled that the vessel, all petroleum on board and $995,000 in cash are subject to confiscation due to violations of a number of US laws on bank fraud and money laundering, as well as the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and a law on confiscation for terrorism-related activities.

good morning donald...
On Friday, US President Trump tweeted out an uncommonly high-resolution photo of an apparent explosion at Iran's space centre, raising questions over whether it was supposed to be shared.
Iran's Information and Communications Technology Minister, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, has tweeted a selfie with the Nahid-1 satellite after Donald Trump appeared to taunt Tehran with an image from its failed launch.
“Me & Nahid I right now, Good Morning Donald Trump!” Jahromi wrote Saturday alongside a picture in which he’s standing next to the solar-powered communication satellite, which is visibly undamaged.
Jahromi earlier said that the satellite Tehran planned to launch was safe in a laboratory.
Trump on Friday tweeted a highly-detailed aerial image that appeared to show the charred rocket launch pad and damaged vehicles at the Imam Khomeini Space Centre in Iran’s Semnan province, after an apparent rocket explosion at the site on Thursday.
“The United States of America was not involved in the catastrophic accident during final launch preparations,” Trump wrote.

Gus believes in his small head that the Ruskies have similar pictures as the Yankees, but their official voices, RT and Sputnik, prefer to use the American sources than those from the secret Russian government spy technology.
at the clubhouse ...
That photo is not of a damaged missile launch site in Iran ...
As anyone who has visited the place would know, it's the clubhouse out the back at Donald Trump's National Doral luxury golf resort near Miami, Florida, which has reportedly fallen on hard times since he became President https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/trump-national-doral-miami-golf-club-...

it could not have been iran...
Iran could not have bombed the oil installations in Saudi Arabia. Simply, the barrage of defence to the north and north west of Saudi Arabia with an enormous array of weaponry supplied by the West, including the US fleet in the Gulf would have detected the drones from Iran. These air defences would have shot them down.
The Houthis, a few days earlier had showed their "little drones" built like improvised plastic planes and others flying machines made of bits bought on e-bay, with enough range to reach 1000 kms. Like a self-driving car, these drones do not need to be radio-commanded. They do not need people sitting in front of a screen guiding the drone. This is the clever bit: because they are pre-destined to their final destination at precise coordinates acquired through the US GPS network (thank you) and Google, there is no need for radio communication, meaning that jamming of any possible communication is useless. Once launched, the only way to stop them is to shoot them down. The Russians face same technology daily in Syria — and have the weaponry to bring them down. The West and the Saudis do not. These drones do not need to carry much explosive, just enough to transform the target into an explosive medium.
These drones are the small stone of David that brought Goliath down. Revenge is on the cards, but then more innocent people would die. More bloodshed, more war, more little stones, bigger damage. What's the point? Swallow your pride and negotiate. URGENTLY.
Peace in Yemen is the only way to go. The Saudis have to negotiate and Trump has a duty to tell them to do so.

going for a ceasefire...
The televised announcement was made on Friday by Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthi political council in Sana’a. It comes as the Saudi-led coalition launched a massive operation against “legitimate military targets”north of the port of Hodeidah, in southwestern Yemen.

“I call on all parties from different sides of the war to engage seriously in genuine negotiations that can lead to a comprehensive national reconciliation that does not exclude anyone,” said Mashat. "If the Saudis ignore the ceasefire offer and continue bombing, the group reserves its “right to respond.” he warned.
