a lonely pregnant set up...As you can see in the picture above, the set up is not even credible... One pregnant woman on a stretcher — with impeccable red and black fabric reminiscent of the (not forgotten) Ukraine colours — is being carried away or towards a building that has been demolished by Russian bombs... Even our religious fun-bod Rod Dreher is very sceptical:
What is in doubt is the number of casualties. All we have are Ukrainian government figures. It is a large facility, and if it had a significant number of mothers and children in it, or medical personnel, wouldn’t we see bodies? Wouldn’t the Ukrainians be eager to show those bodies to the media? Maybe the bodies are all buried — but if so, then the Ukrainians would certainly be anxious to hurry up and get them out, if only to show the world’s press what the Russians have done. I guess we will see in the next few days. What is also in doubt is the Ukrainian story. The Russians say that the hospital had been evacuated, and that Ukrainian soldiers were using it as a place from which to fire at Russians, and to draw their fire. Why would they do that? To get headlines like this on the front page of the world’s most important newspaper today... (picture above).
Yes Rod, the West is lying... It's easy...
Remember the Saddam has weapons of mass destruction mantra. Same shit.

no patients......
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Ukrainian model and blogger Marianna Podgurskaya has been accused of participating in a staged photoshoot in a maternity hospital in Mariupol allegedly demolished by a Russian strike, drawing criticism from users on Instagram.
Under a linked Instagram post, users have left over 1,500 comments in which they disputed that she was injured or was near the hospital which was closed to civilians and was used by Ukrainian militants from the right-wing extremist Azov battalion as a military base.
The War on Fakes project, which tracks and debunks fake news related to the Ukrainian crisis, also shared materials on Telegram refuting that the Mariupol maternity hospital was hit by the Russian army.
This includes testimonies of local residents as well as a chronological compilation of photos showing that images depicting pregnant women and other patients emerged on social media much later than the hospital was allegedly hit, while the initial photos featured no patients.
The project concluded that Podgurskaya was photographed in several different settings in a photoshoot staged specifically to be conducted by a renowned professional photographer, who arrived at the scene many hours later. She changed her clothes and her makeup for each setting. According to the project, Podgurskaya is indeed pregnant but could not have been a patient of the Mariupol maternity hospital as it has been occupied earlier by militants.
Ukrainian opposition lawmaker Illia Kyva, who fled the country amid criminal prosecution for alleged high treason, also voiced confidence that the story around the Mariupol maternity hospital was false-flagged.
"Ukraine is filled with lies and deception. The history of the tragedy in the hospital of Mariupol - another staging and fake," he said on Telegram.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on 24 February after the breakaway Donbas republics appealed for help in defending themselves against the Ukrainian military. The Russian Defense Ministry said the operation is targeting Ukrainian military infrastructure only.

destroying a REAL hospital...
Most of the doctors and patients, including women in labor from the maternity ward, survived by hiding in the basement. One of the doctors told Sputnik that during the time everyone was hiding in the basement, six babies were born.
Ukrainian troops fired from a tank and Grad MLRS at a hospital with patients during the retreat from the city of Volnovakha, eastern Ukraine, killing at least six people, a Sputnik correspondent reported, citing the accounts of hospital staff at the scene of the incident.
Prior to the incident, the Ukrainian military fired at the Donetsk People's Republic troops from grenade launchers and tanks from the building and courtyard of this hospital, hiding behind patients, including women in childbirth, as a human shield. When they were leaving the area, they mined the buildings.
The building of the Volnovakha Central Hospital was seriously damaged: the walls were pierced in several spots, some of them collapsed, windows on three floors were almost all broken; medical buildings, wards, and patient rooms were damaged, the Sputnik correspondent reported from the scene.
According to the hospital staff and soldiers of the DPR army, they counted at least six bodies of dead civilians on the square in front of the hospital, but the count is still underway, since the rubble has not been cleared.
In addition, on the territory and inside the building, the Sputnik correspondent reported two bodies in the uniform of the Ukrainian military, and according to doctors retreating from the medical facility, the Ukrainians finished off their own.
A hospital employee told Sputnik on video that the Ukrainian military shot "directly from a tank," although they were "drinking tea" there before, as the hospital staff "fed them, treated them." Later, the military "drove off and started shelling" and came back "to see what was happening here."
According to the employee, during the shelling, not only were patients hiding in the hospital, but also residents of nearby houses who do not have basements under their homes.
"[Ukrainian] tanks were standing right in the yard," said the head of the hospital, Viktor Saranov.
He added that, when shelling with Grads, Ukrainian troops were guided by calls from patients and hospital staff on mobile phones for aiming. Saranov explained that people went to the upper floors to talk on the phone, because "at least there was connection available," and the projectiles hit the spots.
Despite all that several women gave birth under these conditions, and they "were giving birth when there was no light already, we had no diesel fuel or electricity," according to one hospital employee.
According to the Sputnik correspondent, DPR forces discovered British NLAW anti-tank missiles as well as other weaponry at the hospital, with the wooden crates and metal boxes marked in English.
Among the weaponry they also found corking boxes for 30-mm VOG-17M grenades, for automatic grenade launchers of the AGS series. In addition to VOG-17M, ammunition is marked as IO-30, which indicates bu the use of this name that they are produced by companies in Bulgaria.

remembering fallujah...
"Until lions have their own historians, their history will be that of the hunters"
There has been a lot of western media coverage of recent Russian air strikes on the Mariupol maternity hospital in Ukraine.
There was also an infamous attack by US forces on Fallujah and its hospital in Iraq in 2004. There was scarcely a mention in Australian media despite the ADF being involved.
Whilst our media turned a blind eye with the encouragement of ADF public relations about what was happening in Iraq and Fallujah, overseas media reported extensively.
The following are extracts of an article I posted on February 14, 2018.
On October 16 2004, the Washington Post reported that “electricity and water were cut off to the city just as a fresh wave of [bombing] strikes began Thursday night, an action that US forces also took at the start of assaults on Najaf and Samarra”. The Red Cross and other aid agencies were also denied access to deliver the most basic of humanitarian aid – water, food, and emergency medical supplies to the civilian population.
On November 7, a New York Times front page story detailed how the Coalition’s ground campaign was launched by seizing Fallujah’s only hospital: “Patients and hospital employees were rushed out of the rooms by armed soldiers and ordered to sit or lie on the floor while troops tied their hands behind their backs.” The story also revealed the motive for attacking the hospital: “The offensive also shut down what officers said was a propaganda weapon for the militants: Fallujah General Hospital with its stream of reports of civilian casualties”. The city’s two medical clinics were also bombed and destroyed.
In early November 2004, the New York Times reported that Fallujah’s main hospital had been attacked “Patients and hospital employees were rushed out of rooms by armed soldiers and ordered to sit or lie on the floor while troops tied their hands behind their backs …”.
The Nation magazine referred to “reports that US armed forces killed scores of patients in an attach on a Fallujah health centre and have deprived civilians of medical care, food and water”
The BBC reported on 11 November 2004 “Without water and electricity, we feel completely cut off from every one else … there are dead women and children lying on the streets. People are getting weaker from hunger. Many are dying from their injuries because there is no medical help left in the city whatsoever’.
On 14 November 2004, the Guardian reported “The horrific conditions for those who remained in the city have begun to emerge in the last 24 hours as it becomes clear that US military claims of ‘precision’ targeting of insurgent positions were false. … The city has been without power or water for days.”
A further allegation supported by BBC pictures on 14 November 2004 is that coalition forces prevented the distribution of aid supplies to civilians.
The Independent referred to an Italian documentary which claimed that Iraqi civilians, including women and children, had died of burns caused by white phosphorous during the assault (on Fallujah).
According to Ali Fadhil writing in the Guardian of 12 January 2005, “The US military destroyed Fallujah..”
The Australian media edited out the attacks on the Fallujah General Hospital but not on a maternity hospital in Mariupol. We write what suits our view of who are most deserving.

...a recipe for producing medieval philosophy: Combine classical pagan philosophy, mainly Greek but also in its Roman versions, with the new Christian religion. Season with a variety of flavorings from the Jewish and Islamic intellectual heritages. Stir and simmer for 1300 years or more, until done.
This recipe produces a potent and volatile brew. For in fact many features of Christianity do not fit well into classical philosophical views. The notion of the Incarnation and the doctrine of the Trinity are obvious cases in point. But even before those doctrines were fully formulated, there were difficulties...

apologies...
I would like to apologise… Apparently, the bombing of the hospital in Mariupol (see from top) was a true story. According to a Journalist trapped in Mariupol, The Hospital was not abandoned nor left for the Ukrainian forces. So I was wrong. And the case made by Media Watch is compelling.
Here I would like to ask a few more questions:
We see a video of some people being evacuated from the Hospital through a stair case.
1) How many people were in the Hospital before and after the bomb — possibly a “hyperbaric” bomb considering the damage — blew up?
2) How many people were killed, how many injured?
3) This looks like a BIG hospital compound. And the damage looks extensive. One would expect at least 200 dead should the hospital be somewhat at average capacity and fuller than the few people appearing in the video. And should there have been much more panic, around in the compound?
4) Is it possible to cinematographically set up such a dramatic scene of a few people being evacuated through a staircase, with just a few actors/participants? The answer to this is YES. The White helmets have been expert at this type of propaganda to show that "Assad was gasing his own people" — videos shown by bomb experts to be set ups... We also know of major disinformation/video set ups in regard to "Saddam has weapons of mass destruction"... The Oscars which were on last night — at the same time as MEDIA WATCH — celebrated movies, some with such realistic dramatic scenes. These days with digital recording it is possible to shoot such (fake) "verité" without much lighting, and no need for a director of propaganda — nor a movie producer… just use “natural” light… and be there...
GusNote: I have seven “spy”-sized HD cameras — including two small HD underwater cameras — plus a new smartphone — and I shoot many videos of events, speeches and wildlife. I post some of the stills on this site… Just after WW2, my father made some brilliant short movies with set ups to create stories and impressions. The Hollywood renditions are perfect, but are not real. So?
We could be wrong. And WE apologise to the victims thus.
Was this scene set up for the benefit of the journalists who then got rescued by Ukrainian soldiers… Were the soldiers from the Azov Battalion?
At this stage I am prepared to believe that the jury is undecided, though Paul Barry of MW is adamant that the denial by the Russians is fake news. We need more investigation. And the Russian may eventually admit that there was no Ukrainian soldiers there.
But, how would the Russians know the abandoned status of the hospital? Locals? Was the information false? The Russian HAVE MADE A POINT of not shooting willy-nilly. They target military objective. Is it likely that the info came from Ukrainian Russians who got it right or got it wrong? In Mariupol, the situation has been a bit more dramatic for civilians as the city was heavily fortified by the Azov brigades. Many buildings of Mariupol have been destroyed, yet many people have managed to escape beforehand.
India and China know too well the historical deceit from the English. The Chinese also know the deceit from the Americans. Both countries cannot buy the narrative peddled by Washington about "Russia bad, us good"… Leaders of India and China would know the historical ramifications and origins of the conquest of the Heartland. Gus did deeper research, close to historians who had gone to original documents (some secrets some not) and the information is damning. But the scribes of the Western nations will deny the existence of this "conquest of the world by any means".
One point that could prove it is the virulent way Russia and China have been demonised by the Western media since after WW2 — and the implementation of draconian sanctions that are hurting the EU more than the Americans or the Russians, under a morality (Rules-Based Order, New World Order) Anglo-Saxon (USA) umbrella that was and still is bullshit during all the American wars, past and present (Yemen) — often fought by proxy.
The modern Anglo-Saxon conquest has taken many forms since 1905. It is still on. Russia and China — and India — know.

MW is wrong...
After being published by the AP on 10 March, photos of a battered Marianna carrying a blanket against the backdrop of the bombed out hospital spread like wildfire online. The news agency ran the story with the lead: "A Russian airstrike devastated a maternity hospital Wednesday in the besieged port city of Mariupol amid growing warnings from the West that Moscow's invasion is about to take a more brutal and indiscriminate turn".
The photos were immediately picked up and used extensively by a host of other outlets, from the BBC and CNN to The Guardian, The Mirror, and a host of other outlets as a symbol of "Russian torture and brutality". An ill-fated series of tweets by the Russian Embassy in the UK saying that the incident appeared staged sparked further outrage, and ultimately prompted Twitter to remove them.
Vyshemirskaya's story is the latest in an increasingly dense ecosystem of fakes, misinformation, and disinformation which has appeared online during the Ukraine crisis, from the legend of Snake Island, where the Ukrainian troops that Russia was feared to have indiscriminately cut down later appeared alive and well in Crimea, to the famous "Ghost of Kiev", the mythical Ukrainian fighter ace reported to have shot down an innumerable number of Russian planes.
