boris' bullshit...Against the backdrop of events in Ukraine, Boris Johnson, who just days ago found himself under increased criticism from the British and on the verge of impeachment for his indifference towards the subjects of the kingdom, decided to “brush his feathers and his tufts.” Not surprisingly, in his attempt to stay relevant he turned to a tried and tested tool of Russophobia, and under this banner this descendant of the Circassian muhajirs decided to launch an all out attack on everything Russian. Despite his previously demonstrated love for freedom and respect for human rights, so far Boris Johnson has not properly condemned, either as a private individual or as a – for the time being – head of government, the recent Russophobic actions of the British extremists. In particular, the recent pogrom at the Russian St Nicholas Church in Oxford, amid a fake news campaign launched in the country personally by the British Foreign Secretary and Prime Minister of the Kingdom. Incidents of xenophobia towards Russians and manifestations of Russophobia have long occurred in Britain, intensifying dramatically whenever relations between the Russian and Western worlds reached the point of direct conflict. This was the case during the Crimean War in the 19th century, after the Great October Revolution and then throughout the Cold War under the banner of the “red menace.” Even before the military special operation in Ukraine, Russophobia had again become widespread in Britain, with images of “Russian spies Petrov and Boshirov” as well as the name of the poisoning agent “Novichok.” However, multiple sources in Britain itself are confidently leaning towards the involvement not of Russia in this provocative Skripals incident, but of British secret services and the Kingdom’s secret biological laboratory at Porton Down. When Moscow’s special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine began on February 24, Boris Johnson was once again dragged anti-Russian sentiments out of a dusty cupboard and widely spread them in the Kingdom, resulting in ordinary Russian citizens and institutions becoming the target of attacks and insults. At the same time, Johnson failed to condemn or, indeed, mention the recent mass execution, Saudi Arabia’s biggest in decades, in which 81 people were beheaded. Moreover, he has made an urgent visit to Riyadh, though again with the same anti-Russian overtones of replacing Russian energy supplies in the Persian Gulf. Although the sheikhs there have recently refused to participate in Biden’s anti-Russian energy campaign. However, Boris Johnson tried to maneuver his way around British politicians when organizing the trip, as MPs in the House of Commons expressed deep concerns about British-Arab relations. First of all, after 81 people were executed in Saudi Arabia on March 12, 2022, a week after the Crown Prince pledged to modernize his justice system. The House of Commons considers the events of March 12 to be a gross violation of human rights. Before flying to Riyadh, Johnson met with leaders of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF). But he found here no success either, especially with the elimination of three British mercenaries in a strike on the Yavorivsky training ground near Lviv in western Ukraine, as already reported by the Daily Mirror. The United Kingdom-led Joint Expeditionary Force, established in 2014, is not a permanent force. Participating countries (aside from Britain, these include Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden) periodically conduct joint field training exercises. And now Johnson intends to use their “potential” in strengthening the confrontation with Russia in Ukraine. Moreover, criticism of Johnson’s provocative sanctions policy against Russia, which is hurting the British population the most, has intensified considerably in the Kingdom in recent days. As The Daily Mail reported on March 12, Britain bought a record £2.6 billion worth of goods from Russia in the month before the situation in Ukraine escalated. According to the Office for National Statistics, January imports included fuel worth £911.5 million: coal, coke and briquettes worth £32 million, oil worth £590.4 million and gas worth £289.1 million. All of which Britain will now have to forfeit because of the anti-Russian sanctions initiated by Boris Johnson. The surge in oil prices as a result of sanctions against Russia could have dire economic consequences for the United Kingdom, surpassing even the effects of the 1973 oil crisis, according to The Daily Mail. Given that gas prices have skyrocketed in recent days, increasing about fivefold, Britain is inevitably facing a growing energy crisis, warns The Daily Telegraph. In addition, the cessation of wood pellets supplies from Russia due to the new sanctions will lead to a sharp increase in heating costs for homeowners and organizations that use this fuel. As wood fuel pellets will no longer be imported and purchased from Russian producers, this will also have an impact on supplies globally, not just in Britain, given the huge volumes of previous exports from Russia. Since British and international sanctions and restrictions are now in place against Moscow, total European production could fall by 12-15%, experts warn. So a rise in prices in Britain because of the current situation is inevitable, as is mass bankruptcy in the Kingdom. Barely recovered from the pandemic, the United Kingdom is once again in crisis: British consumers face “severe hardships” from rising inflation and higher everyday costs, reports The Independent. It is therefore not surprising that, despite the tense situation around Ukraine, Britain has decided to revisit Johnson’s past sins. BBC journalist Laura Kuenssberg recalled that Johnson not so long ago was “trying to keep his political head above water” with his last bit of strength. As recently as late February, the media were overflowing with headlines about parties, cakes, cheese, wine, questionnaires from the Metropolitan Police and rules during lockdowns. Labour Party leader Keir Starmer said on March 6 that an investigation into coronavirus violations in Downing Street was still pending. In the comments, British readers pointed out that the “Johnson’s problem” needs to be addressed immediately, because when the events in Ukraine are over, he will say he saved everyone, and then there will be no way to get rid of him. “War is not enough reason to stop addressing Johnson and Tories. In fact, them taking Putin’s money and the break up of EU is a significant part of the “war” issue. Get Johnson and his government out now. He is only using the war as an opportunity to showboat,” says @paulio80410204.

S400...
The S-400 issue has been a prickly topic in US-Turkish ties since Ankara inked a contract with Moscow for the supply of the Russian-made missile defence systems in 2017. Washington claims that the S-400s pose a threat to NATO and are incompatible with the alliance's military hardware, something that Turkey rejects.
Washington and Ankara discussed "the unlikely possibility" of Turkey delivering its Russian-made S-400 missile defence systems to Kiev's forces in order to help them fight Russian troops amid Moscow's ongoing special operation in Ukraine, according to Reuters.
The news agency cited three unnamed sources as saying that "US officials have floated the suggestion over the past month with their Turkish counterparts but no specific or formal request was made".
The sources added that the issue "also came up briefly" during US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman's visit to Turkey earlier in March.
Reuters, in turn, reported that America's alleged suggestion regarding the S-400s was "part of a wider discussion between Sherman and Turkish officials about how the United States and its allies can do more to support Ukraine and on how to improve bilateral ties".
The two's relations has been marred by the S-400 issue since Ankara and Moscow signed a contract in 2017 on the supply of Russian air defence systems to Turkey. Washington claimed that Ankara was not acting like a NATO member when it bought armaments from Russia, but the Turkish government argued it had the right to boost the nation's defences as it pleases, especially in light of the US stalling the sale of its Patriot air defence systems to Turkey.
After Ankara refused to scrap the S-400 deal, the US imposed a number of economic sanctions on Turkey's defence sector and refused to hand over the fifth-generation F-35 fighters that Turkish authorities earlier paid for. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the White House's actions, but insisted on keeping and deploying the S-400 air defences.
Putin Says Russia's Special Op Going as Planned
The sources' claims come after Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier this week that Moscow's special military operation to demilitarise and de-Nazify Ukraine, launched on 24 February, is going as planned.
In the south of Ukraine, the Russian armed forces took control of the Kherson region, as well as the towns of Melitopol and Berdyansk, also blocking the city of Mariupol. This enabled Russian troops to cut off the Ukrainian Army from the coast of the Sea of Azov and unite with Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) units in the Donbass region.
In the eastern direction, the DPR's People's Militia liberated the town of Volnovakha, advancing on the settlements of Verkhnetoretskoye and Novoselovka-2. Forces of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) are also conducting an offensive on Kiev's forces, with Russian troops taking control of the town of Balakleya in the Kharkov region.
The Russian Defence Ministry has repeatedly stressed that the special operation only targets Ukraine's military infrastructure and that civilians are not in danger.

sins of azov…..
Earlier this month, units of the Donetsk People's Republic blocked Mariupol and are now trying to clear it of Ukrainian troops and extremist battalions, including the Azov Regiment. The situation in the city remains tense, with residents lacking food and electricity and having to leave the city amid continued armed clashes in the downtown area.
Mariupol resident Nina Kulayeva has told Sputnik that scores of people died after neo-Nazis from Ukraine's Azov Regiment deliberately destroyed the Neptune swimming pool in the centre of the southeastern coastal city currently surrounded by Russian and Donetsk People's Republic forces.
Kulayeva, who earlier fled Mariupol, said that the neo-Nazis, who took up positions in the city's newly repaired pool, then demolished it and "also killed a lot of people" there.
The woman suggested that by obliterating the pool, members of the Azov Regiment apparently wanted to intimidate the local population.
"There was no stone left unturned" in Mariupol as a result of massive shelling of the city by Azov Regiment neo-Nazis, she said, adding that an apartment building she lived in was destroyed and that she was surprised she and her loved ones survived.
According to Kulayeva, it was Azov militants who blew up a drama theatre in Mariupol earlier this week.

mines afloat….
Since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the naval forces of Ukraine have laid about 420 mines on the approaches to the ports of Odessa, Ochakov, Chernomorsk, and Yuzhny, according to Russia's Federal Security Service.
"The Ukrainian Navy laid minefields on the approaches to the ports of Odessa, Ochakov, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny (about 420 mines of obsolete types of NM (anchor mine) and YRM (anchor river mine) produced in the first half of the 20th century)", the security service elaborated.
However, it was noted that sea storms in the area caused the cables connecting the mines to bottom anchors to break, thereby resulting in the bombs drifting freely in the sea. The fact that the cables broke points to the "unsatisfactory technical condition of the mines".
"Given that there a lot of southward surface currents in the vicinity of the listed Ukrainian ports, we do not rule out the possibility that the derailed mines will drift into the Bosphorus and further into the seas of the Mediterranean basin", the Federal Security Service warned.

UK-trained...
VOLNOVAKHA, Donetsk Region (Sputnik) - The Royal Tank Regiment of the United Kingdom, the oldest tank unit in the world, took part in training of Ukrainian soldiers who fought in Donbass, according to a document obtained by Sputnik.
A Sputnik correspondent found a cache of documents in the liberated city of Volnovakha in the Donetsk Region, among which was a certificate confirming that Ukrainian serviceman Borys Kazarian had completed junior sergeant training courses with the participation of British instructors. The certificate was issued by the Royal Tank Regiment and signed by signed by Col. M. Evans.
According to the certificate, the training consisted of four modules: "weapons training", "navigation", "medical training" and "pairs movement."
On Wednesday, the UK prime minister's office announced that the country will supply to Ukraine 6,000 missiles and will allocate 25 million pounds ($33 million) for Kiev's urgent military needs.
"The Prime Minister Boris Johnson will announce a major new package of support for Ukraine today [Thursday] at the NATO and G7 leaders’ meetings... The measures announced today include 6,000 missiles, consisting of anti-tank and high explosive weapons, and £25 million in financial backing for the Ukrainian military," the statement said.
It also added that the amount of such aid "more than doubles" the lethal defensive aid provided to date to "more than 10,000 missiles," on top of the "£400 million the UK has committed" in humanitarian and economic aid to Ukraine.
"The Prime Minister will set out the UK’s intention to work with partners to bolster Ukraine’s defence capabilities, including longer-range targeting and intelligence, as the Ukrainian people face down an unprovoked invasion," the office said.
Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24 in response to calls from the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics for protection against attacks by Ukrainian troops. The Russian Defense Ministry said the special military operation, which also targets Ukrainian military infrastructure, aims to "demilitarize and denazify" Ukraine.
Russia has said it has no plans to occupy Ukraine. Many nations around the world, including those in the West, have imposed numerous crippling sanctions on Russia.
