Massive leak reveals hidden Brexit conspiracy

Those involved in the publication downplayed it as “legitimate lobbying” while dismissing it as Russian “disinformation”.

An elaborate high-profile conspiracy allegedly run by shady figures within the British elite was exposed in a massive leak published by a group of hackers at the end of May. A cache of documents and emails alleging that hardcore natives are plotting to secure the ‘hardest’ Brexit possible is now accessible on the “Very English Coop d’Etat” website.

Conspiracy for a Hard Brexit

The conspiracy involved some of the most outspoken: former MI6 chief Richard Dearlove, former NATO and Defense adviser Gwithian Prince, leading Brexit campaigner and former Labor MP Baroness Stuart, professor emeritus of French history at the University of Cambridge Robert Toombs, and other.

The goals of the campaign, dubbed “Operation Surprise”, were outlined in a 2018 document written by Prince, which proclaimed the need “Engage our ruthless adversaries by all means necessary.” The conspirators sought to make a “hard” Brexit as possible, targeting both those seeking to maintain UK membership in the EU and those who favor a “soft” Brexit.
