The takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk has sparked reactions around the world. The mainstream media fall on him because he has announced that he will no longer exercise censorship and because they now fear a deluge of fake news. In contrast, millions of Musk fans celebrate their hero as the savior of free speech. Obviously the two groups do not notice yet that their respective attitudes make them victims of the most dangerous tendency of our time. The division of society!

Let's try to analyze all this coldly and first see who Elon Musk is all about.

Musk completed the Young Global Leader training in 2008 through the World Economic Forum, which promotes public-private partnership around the world.

Musk founded the company Neuralink in 2016. His transhumanist goal is to develop a communication device between the human brain and computers, called the Brain-Computer-Interface.

These are just a few tidbits about the activities of a man who knows better than anyone how to stage himself as someone who swims against the tide and who has promised to make Twitter a "free speech marketplace". ".

But what is behind Musk's decision to buy Twitter? Clearly, this is the plan to make Twitter a financial services provider and issue private currency through it, opening up a whole new line of business. Musk already bought the X.COM domain in 2017, which had been closed in 2002 following its acquisition by PayPal, and announced that it wanted to make Twitter pay. In this way, he obtains what interests him most, namely the data of his users. PayPal just showed what to expect: In October 2022, the company informed its customers that if they spread false information, they could face fines of up to $2, blocking of accounts for up to 500 days, and even the retention of all of their assets.

What does this all mean ? Neither more nor less than a false conflict has been triggered with the discussion on the subject of freedom of expression. This – like the major health crisis of recent years – is making a remarkable contribution to diverting the attention of world public opinion from the most important events taking place in the background: the ever-increasing concentration of money and data in an ever-decreasing number of hands and the subordination of all of us to the digital-financial complex.

"It's been very depressing, and sometimes embarrassing to be driving this car around," says Anne Marie, a former journalist who lives in Connecticut and wrote an article about her discomfort. "I wondered if people were making a judgement about me that I wasn't looking for."

Once hailed as the secret to Tesla's success, Elon Musk now appears to be one of its biggest problems, as his steady stream of politically charged social media posts alienates key parts of Tesla's customer base, just as increased competition starts to eat away at the firm's dominance of the electric car market.

Billionaire Elon Musk has weighed in on the emerging Hamilton 68 dashboard scandal, describing it as “the biggest journalism scam in a very long time.”

His response, posted to Twitter early Saturday evening, came roughly 24 hours after journalist Matt Taibbi broke the story on Racket News.

As previously reported via Taibbi, Hamilton 68 “is a computerized ‘dashboard’ designed to be used by reporters and academics to measure ‘Russian disinformation.'”

But instead it was used by the establishment press to push the false narrative that Twitter was teeming with Russian disinformation bots.

“Their secret sauce was a list of 600 accounts they said were linked to Russian influence,” Taibbi explained Friday on Fox News’ “One Nation.”

“The list, let’s just say, is mostly bereft of Russians, but is full of real Americans, and what they basically did is a fraud. They took ordinary conversations of ordinary conservatives mostly, and essentially just called it Russian influence,” he added.
