Rudd brushes off Qld Cabinet misconduct allegations Labor leader Kevin Rudd says if the Federal Government has concerns about his actions when he was a public servant in Queensland it should approach the police. Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce wants to table a nine-volume report into allegations against the Queensland Cabinet when Mr Rudd was chief of staff to then-premier Wayne Goss. Senator Joyce says the document identifies 67 breaches of the criminal code by members of the Cabinet, ministerial staff and public servants. Mr Rudd says there have already been a number of Senate inquiries into the matter. "If the Liberals and Nationals are serious about any of this, then go to the police, I mean for goodness sake," he said. "You know what this is, we're in pre-election mode and we have a negative fear campaign, a negative smear campaign by the Liberals and Nationals who are very good at fear campaigns."
