US police no longer trust FBI – report
The agency has become openly partisan and serves political ends, whistleblowers have said

Many US state and local law enforcement agencies are refusing to share vital information with the Federal Bureau of Investigation due to concerns that it has become partisan and politicized, according to a whistleblower report submitted to Congress.

The 230-page report was compiled by an alliance of retired and active-duty agents and analysts, who spoke to more than 30 “independent, highly credible” sources across the US.

“They are not only reluctant to work with the FBI but reportedly have decided to no longer share actionable, substantive information on criminal and other intelligence-related activity” with the Bureau, because they believe it “has been operating as a partisan federal agency motivated by a political agenda” in recent years, the report’s authors said.

The report’s existence was first reported on Wednesday in the New York Post. The document itself was sent to the House Judiciary and House Oversight committees and posted online. 

The group described a “crisis of confidence” in FBI-led task forces and a “disturbing loss of trust” in the Bureau as a whole, even as Director Christopher Wray testified to Congress about a “complex threat environment” that is unprecedented in his career.

Most sources pointed to the FBI’s response to the January 6, 2021 riot at the US Capitol and the August 2022 raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago. 

One of the sources described the FBI’s behavior as “that of a Third World country” and argued it “should be dismantled and its personnel prosecuted and given long prison sentences.” 

Pressure to assist with “J6” cases has led to a belief that the Bureau is driven by a “partisan, political agenda.” One source said they could not understand why the FBI was not going after any other groups with the same fervor. Another said that local officers feared they could be targeted “because of their love for the US” and perceived as “domestic terrorists” based on how they vote.

Newer FBI agents “do not bother to conceal their distaste” for traditional political or religious views and openly identify themselves as “woke or liberal,” the head of a multi-agency task force said. Hired on the basis of “diversity, equity and inclusion” (DEI) guidelines, they are “completely worthless” and “the worst batch of people,” the whistleblowers said.

The FBI academy at Quantico, Virginia at which new agents are trained “promotes a cult of narcissism”and arrogant superiority, while being intolerably politicized, the report claimed. Meanwhile, the Bureau’s Security Division has been abusing the security clearance process to purge conservative-leaning agents from its ranks.

The whistleblowers urged Congress to force the resignation of Wray as “an extreme measure of last resort” and the only way to restore the Bureau’s reputation.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - FBI Director Christopher Wray told a US House Judiciary Committee hearing he was not sure if former US President Donald Trump was struck by a bullet during an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, Trump claimed in a post on social media.

Wray provided testimony at a US House Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday relating to the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump, during which he was also asked for his thoughts on President Joe Biden's mental acuity.

"FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress yesterday that he wasn't sure if I was hit by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI never even checked!), but he was sure that Crooked Joe Biden was physically and cognitively 'uneventful,'" Trump said Thursday

Trump said the FBI director "knows nothing about the terrorists and other criminals pouring into our Country at record levels," adding that Wray's only focus is on "destroying J6 Patriots," raiding Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, and protecting "Radical Left Lunatics."

He added that the doctors who treated him classified his injury as "a bullet wound to the ear," saying there was no glass or shrapnel.

"No wonder the once storied FBI has lost the confidence of America," Trump said.

The former president suffered a wound to his right ear and was briefly hospitalized after a gunman fired shots at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13. Thomas Crooks, 20, killed a member of the audience and injured two others in the crowd before Trump's Secret Service detail shot and killed him.

The FBI is still actively investigating the assassination attempt, Wray said Wednesday.

The incident prompted US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to resign following intense criticism of the agency for failing to prevent the shooting.

If you watched any of Joe Biden’s disturbing speech from the Oval Office on Wednesday, you could not help but notice the weird expression on his face. I have seen that look before. I first saw it in a photograph hanging on the wall in one of corridors of the Pentagon. It was titled, “The 1000 yard Stare.” It was a genuine photograph from World War II of a soldier suffering from shell shock. Here’s the cover of a book that featured that image. Compare that with the look on Biden’s mug.

I think he is equally shell shocked. He offered no explanation for his decision to withdraw as the Democrat candidate. But the reason was written on his face and heard in his garbled, raspy voice. Yet, until the disastrous debate — and even after — many Democrats and most of the major media kept insisting that Joe Biden was “as sharp as a tack.” That is a living demonstration of gaslighting. Now the gaslight burners are going full blast as many Democrats, Hollywood glitterati and legacy media insist Kamala is a policy maven and political kung-fu master. Yeah, I am sure that will work well for them.

Shifting to the hearings on the failed Trump Assassination plot, I was watching part of the hearing before the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee and heard Chris Wray state that the FBI recovered “eight cartridges” alongside the body of suspected shooter, Thomas Crooks. What? 

A cartridge,[1][2] also known as a round, is a type of pre-assembled firearm ammunition packaging a projectile (bullet, shot, or slug), a propellant substance (smokeless powder, black powder substitute, or black powder) and an ignition device (primer) within a metallic, paper, or plastic case that is precisely made to fit within the barrel chamber of a breechloading gun, for convenient transportation and handling during shooting.

In other words, Wray claimed that eight UNFIRED rounds were recovered next to Crooks’ body. Not only is Wray the head of the FBI, but he is a former U.S. attorney and should know that when presenting evidence it is inexcusable to incorrectly define the evidence. So, were eight cartridges recovered or did the FBI recover eight shell casings — i.e., what remains of a round after it is fired?

I decided to ask the FBI and, to their credit, they responded promptly. Here is the email exchange:

During Director Wray’s Congressional testimony on Wednesday he stated that “EIGHT CARTRIDGES” were found next to the body of the alleged shooter.

A “cartridge” is a fully intact round of ammunition. A “shell casing” is what is left after a cartridge is fired from a firearm.

Did Director Wray misspeak or did the FBI recover eight rounds of fully intact ammunition.

There you have it. Wray screwed up. Fortunately, he was not in court. His claim would have given a defense attorney, even a bad one, a field day. If Wray cannot even get a simple fact like that correct, it raises questions about the accuracy of his other testimony.

‘Disturbing fact’ emerges in Trump assassination probe
The FBI allowed the cremation of the alleged shooter’s body, a US Congress member has said

The remains of Thomas Matthew Crooks, who tried to kill Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump last month, were released to his family for cremation in what appeared to be a cover-up, Congressman Clay Higgins has said.

Crooks was killed by the US Secret Service on July 13 after he opened fire on Trump during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He managed to injure Trump and two rally-goers, while killing a third.

Higgins is a Louisiana Republican with background in law enforcement, and a member of the congressional Task Force established to investigate the attempted assassination. He traveled to Butler earlier this month to examine the crime scene. His report on the trip was made public on Thursday.

“My effort to examine Crooks’ body on Monday, August 5, caused quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact,” Higgins wrote in the report. “The FBI released the body for cremation 10 days after J13. On J23, Crooks was gone. Nobody knew this until Monday, August 5, including the County Coroner, law enforcement, Sheriff, etc.”

Higgins noted that the county coroner “would have never released Crooks’ body to the family for cremation or burial without specific permission from the FBI.”

The coroner’s report and the autopsy report were not ready as of August 5, and without the body there was no way to verify their accuracy, Higgins noted. Such actions by the FBI “can only be described by any reasonable man as an obstruction to any following investigative effort,” he wrote.

Higgins was in Butler for three days and spent about 20 hours investigating the crime scene. According to his findings, Crooks fired eight shots from the roof of a building overlooking the fairgrounds where Trump spoke. The ninth shot came from a Butler SWAT operator and struck Crooks’ rifle, while the tenth shot from a Secret Service sniper killed him.

The FBI reportedly has the casings from the roof, but they “released the crime scene” after just three days and cleaned up the blood and other “biological evidence,”according to the report.

Crooks did not use a ladder to climb the roof, but an air conditioning unit. He somehow knew to take a position that minimized his exposure to Secret Service snipers, Higgins wrote, noting that it is not usual practice to assign counter-snipers to former presidents.

“I have not yet investigated Crooks’ origins, how he came to be a shooter, how he manufactured a remote trigger bomb, etc. I have not reviewed the harvested evidence, nor have I examined his home, his vehicle, spoken with his family, his neighbors, his classmates, examined his computer, his emails, or his closet,” Higgins wrote, vowing that he intends to do so.
