lame duck biden in a dangerous hiatUS....

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The United States is in a dangerous hiatus during outgoing President Joe Biden's lame duck period, which several US allies are trying to exploit, Jeffrey Sachs, a world-renowned economist and president of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, told Sputnik.

"President Biden is not really in full control anymore, both because of his waning mental status and his lame duck status," Sachs said. "We are in a dangerous hiatus. [Israel's Benjamin] Netanyahu is exploiting that hiatus, and [Volodymyr] Zelensky is trying to as well."

The United States backs Israel’s reckless behavior, talks openly about war with China, and continues a delusional policy in Ukraine that is bleeding that country while threatening to provoke more escalation, Sachs explained.

Zelensky has been pushing the Biden administration to allow Kiev to use US-supplied long-range missiles for deep strikes inside Russian territory, which Russia has warned could drag the United States directly into the conflict. To date, Biden has refrained from granting Ukraine its request.

Meanwhile, in the Middle East, Netanyahu continues to expand his military operation in the region, shifting its focus from Gaza to Lebanon, which provoked Tehran to conduct its second aerial assault against Israel on Tuesday and left open the possibility for more military action by Iran.

Sachs added that there is little chance Biden will steer the United States toward a "good direction" throughout the remainder of his term, but there's also no guarantee that things will improve after either Republican candidate Donald Trump or Democratic candidate Kamala Harris comes into power on January 20.

"I hope for rationality by the next government, because we need a completely new foreign policy, based on negotiation, mutual respect with other great powers, and peace," Sachs said. "The US doesn’t seem to have much sound thinking at the top right now."

Many other countries are trying to exploit US military power, including the United Kingdom, Poland, and the Baltic states, which are all urging reckless policies by the United States that could land it quickly in World War III, Sachs noted.

patriotic knuckleheads.....

Let Me Be Clear

    by

We can learn a lot from the knuckleheads, airheads and sociopaths of death and slavery in Washington, and among US allies.

We are told by the federal state that Governor “knucklehead” Walz, Vice President Kamala “airhead” Harris, and “mass murderer” Netanyahu are patriots, friends and supporters of Americans.  What we can learn from these “patriots?”

From Timmy Walz, we learn that urban riots, and destruction of communities and businesses can be excellent, as long as you can watch from a safe place, and only smell the burning cars.

From Kamala the Momala, we learn to be unburdened by what has been.

From our ally Bibi, we learn that confident audacity and blatant rejection of “government rules” can take you far. You can even get away with murder of Americans, something he and the IDF have done repeatedly.

The message of all three, and by extension the US government, is simple and direct.

Rules are for everyone else.  Exercise control by breaking every moral code, and every accepted value, in a world where the everyone else is trying really hard to do the right thing.

States in general, and leaders like Bibi, Tim, and Kamala are above the law.  They do not comply with humanity’s accepted rules and norms.  We cry out for justice and liberty.  Maybe we should take a moment to analyze how these apparatchiks work, and test a theory.  I’m not advocating that we emulate the state’s coveting, lying, theft, and murder.  But how do they get away with it on such a massive and tragic scale?  Etienne De La Boetie knows.

At the recent Rescue the Republic rally, over and over again, everyone – including Jimmy Dore and national treasure Matt Taibbi, told us – pled with us – joked with us – cried out to us – DO NOT COMPLY!  Matt opened his speech with “Defiance is in our DNA!”

Solutions for the rescue and restoration of liberty in America are many and varied, but we are not planning for national cosmetic surgery or the odd knee replacement.  The US – as a nation – is currently laid out in the triage tent, and the first priority is to stop the bleeding, and a very likely amputation of Washington, DC.

To stop the bleeding, apply pressure, stay calm, stay awake.  This advice is for the patient, and those who will save her. In our case, that’s one and the same, all of us together.

Staying calm is a challenge.  Staying awake, with eyes open, is painful.  Each will need to find what works best for them – and no doubt prayer and fasting are going to come in handy here.

I’m more interested in how we apply pressure.  Elections are how the state would like us to exert our opinion about how “it” is doing.  We aren’t really allowed to change anything – but it is delicious how frightened the deep state is of a possible re-election of Donald Trump and his articulate hillbilly Vice President. Voting is fun, but it’s not a workable strategy for what is needed.

Happily, Kamala, Bibi, and Tim have inadvertently taught us some ways to restore our liberty.

First, there is nothing wrong with being unburdened by what has been.  Suppose you believed or even assumed that government, local, state or federal, would be interested or even capable of helping you in your time of need.  We all remember Homeland Security’s bureaucratized and militarized FEMA response after Katrina – started late, never ended, didn’t work, and obstructed the spontaneous community response all over the country, turning away both private and corporate deliveries of aid and assistance.  The Helene response western NC, northern and eastern Tennessee is everything we have come to expect from the state, this time on fentanyl.  FEMA is out of money at the start of hurricane season because of their excellent work on behalf of illegal aliens, Nazis in Ukraine, and assisting in the murder of hundreds of thousands of Gazans by our best ally ever.  Even if our government wasn’t busy killing Arabs, fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian, or helping conglomerates throughout the US acquire cheap labor without the paperwork while attempting to reverse population decline in blue states – FEMA, like every known government bureaucracy, is fundamentally unsuited for human or animal life.

Let us be unburdened by any belief that lulls us into complacency, or apologetics, about the anti-human nature of authoritarian rule. FEMA is not a government outlier – it is in fact the standard bearer for how the state deals with we the people.

Second, in dealing with the US government, let us follow the path of Bibi.  He will verbally respect the US federal government when needed, then proceed to do exactly as he wishes.  He’s rarely questioned, but when he is, he feigns confusion about what was “agreed upon” as he pays close attention to the “other factors” that support his every gamble. What in the Kamala Blahbala am I saying?  Citizens of the US, be like Bibi!  Let us politely lie and kindly steal from the federal government, in every accepted way, while taking care to understand its general and unique weaknesses.  Let us smile as we deeply study both the obvious, and the hidden, vulnerabilities of the authoritarian state and its mouthpieces.

We can’t all be murderous sociopaths like Bibi, but we do need to recognize that this class of moral degenerate is most often found in positions of government authority.  In peace and war, in crisis and routine, nod understandingly while you take from the state what you want, manipulate what you can, ignore, delay and misunderstand all government rules and requests, and remember what is important to you and your family.  For Bibi, it is all about staying out of jail and being an epic Zionist.  When the citizens of the former USSR did this, it was a major factor in that system’s collapse in 1989. For Americans, it should be little more than insisting on the letter of the first ten Amendments no matter what the state says, and maybe a small revolution or two.

Thirdly, weird Tim Walz and his wife are on to something, as they watched, over drinks, from a safe distance, Minneapolis burning down.  It’s just the kind of ju jitsu move that we as actual fighters for liberty should remember. Use the art of yielding to defeat the stronger enemy.

That “stronger enemy” will always defeat itself, something else Tim Walz can teach us. His Covid Snitch Line informants obeyed the state, and because we are Americans and not East Germans, all informant names and reports, and email addresses, were made public for eternal ridicule! If I did what the government asked in good faith, and it was based on a lie, and that same government later threw me under a bus, I would most certainly become an enemy of the state.  I would say “Enough!”  Wouldn’t we all?

The message is this.  Resist.  Do Not Comply.  Abandon what state media and schooling have taught you for ten or 60 years, and study reality. If you must comply, do it maliciously, extremely slowly, curiously incompletely – take what we have learned from our overweening bureaucracy and model it back in your every interaction with the state.

The bright legacy of the Founders is a hobbled and weak state, despite all appearance to the contrary. Even as the state has exceeded its role, authority and budget a million-fold in two centuries, its every drop of blood is nothing more than our continued obedience to it, and our continued tolerance of it.

Do not comply.  Do not tolerate.  Do not make excuses for the US government, and, let me be clear, laugh maniacally at the lies it tells, and the excuses it offers.

declining years....

The US share of the global economy has tanked below 15% during Joe Biden’s presidency. By the end of his term, it is projected to hit a record low of 14.76%, according to Sputnik calculations based on data from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

In 1990, the US accounted for 20.16% of the global economy, measured by purchasing power parity (PPP). That share peaked at 21.01% in 1999, with an economic output of $9.6 trillion, compared to a global output of $45.85 trillion.

However, the US portion has steadily declined since, with the sharpest drop occurring between 2006 and 2008, when it fell by 0.6% annually. The US share temporarily increased during Barack Obama’s second term, reaching 16.26% in 2014 and 2015, but failed in sustaining the momentum.

By the end of Obama's presidency, it fell to 16.04%. Subsequently, the US share declined by another 0.7% under Donald Trump. In Biden's second year, the US share slipped below 15%, reaching 14.82% by the end of 2023.

IMF estimates predict the trend will continue, with the US share falling by another 0.06% by the end of 2024, resulting in a cumulative decline of 0.58% under Biden to 14.76%.

Meanwhile, China’s share of the global economy has surged to 18.76%, while Japan's share has dropped by 4.33% over the past 33 years....

summit delayed....

President Joe Biden's decision to remain in the United States - resulting in the postponement of a summit in Germany organized by Ukraine's NATO allies - is not due to Hurricane Milton, asserts ex-DoD analyst and retired US Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski.

"The risk is high that Biden is not current on his understanding of this situation, and will say something that will embarrass or overly commit the US in the region," Kwiatkowski said, adding that the Biden administration sees "the US must… minimize US policy failures that led to the destruction of Ukraine as a functioning and potential EU state."

According to the pundit, the Biden administration sees "the US must solve a new problem in Ukraine, and to minimize US policy failures that led to the destruction of Ukraine as a functioning and potential EU state."

"The NATO game in Ukraine has run its course, and money follows a winning hand, not a losing one," she said, referring to the Zelensky regime's failed 2023 counteroffensive and Kiev's "compound strategic miscalculation" in the Kursk region, that cost the Ukrainians even more loss of territory and depletion of manpower.

Kwiatkowski continued that Washington's allies vis-a-vis Ukraine "already understand that a miracle of military prowess and productivity in the West isn't coming in time to save Ukraine." In the meantime, NATO war planners don’t seem to be ready to talk about a post-war Ukraine plan yet, she said, presuming that "it must be made ready soon.".

‘No Kidding! No Joke!’ Liberals Call on Biden to Commit Unconstitutional Acts in his Final Days

    by

With the end of the Biden Administration in sight, liberal pundits seem to be striving to prove that the only difference between a lawbreaker and a law-abiding citizen is the ability to get away with the crime. Popular figures on the left from Michael Moore to Keith Olbermann are calling on President Joe Biden to commit overtly unlawful acts in his final 100 days in office, including targeting his political opponents. In one of the few statements of Moore with which I agree, he stated that this is “no joke.” It certainly is not.

It is the same logic used by looters that they have a license for illegality. However, this constitutional looting would endanger not just the Constitution but the country as a whole if Biden were to heed this advice.

In a posting on Substack, Moore told Biden that it was time to yield to temptation and check off a liberal 13-item “bucket list” of demands, tossing aside questions of legality or constitutionality in the process.

“You’re not done. You’ve still got 100 days left in office! And the Supreme Court has just granted you super powers — AND immunity! You don’t answer to anyone. For the first time in over 50 years, you don’t have to campaign for anything…“You have full immunity! No kidding! No joke! That’s not hyperbole! You can get away with anything! And what if anything means everything to the people?”

The list includes emptying death row, canceling all student and medical debt, halting weapons shipments to Israel, ending the death penalty, declaring the Equal Rights Amendment a constitutional amendment, and granting clemency to nonviolent drug offenders.

Other pundits have pushed Biden and Democrats to take some of the actions on Moore’s list before the end of the administration.

Many of these items could only be fulfilled by knowingly gutting the Constitution and assuming the powers of a monarch. That includes just canceling all student and medical debt in defiance of both the courts and Congress.

As discussed in my most recent column, others have added to that bucket list.

Take Olbermann who, while insisting that he is fighting to “save democracy,” has called upon Biden to target political opponents like Elon Musk with deportation: “If we can’t do that by conventional means, President Biden, you have presidential immunity. Get Elon Musk the F out of our country and do it now.”

These calls come in the midst of a counter-constitutional movement led by law professors. Moreover, the disregard for such legal authority has been voiced by liberal academics like Harvard Professor Lawrence Tribe. Indeed, his past “just do it” approach was not dissimilar in advice to Biden.

For example, the Biden administration was found to have violated the Constitution in its imposition of a nationwide eviction moratorium through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Biden admitted that his White House counsel and most legal experts told him the move was unconstitutional. But he ignored their advice and went with that of Harvard University Professor Laurence Tribe, the one person who would tell him what he wanted to hear. It was, of course, then quickly found to be unconstitutional.

The false premise of the recent calls is that the Court removed all limits on the presidency in its recent ruling on presidential immunity. The fact that law professors are repeating this clearly erroneous claim is a measure of the triumph of rage over reason today.

As I have previously written, I am not someone who has favored expansive presidential powers. As a Madisonian scholar, I favor Congress in most disputes with presidents. However, I saw good-faith arguments on both sides of this case and the Court adopted a middle road on immunity — rejecting the extreme positions of both the Trump team and the lower court.

As I previously wrote, the Court followed a familiar approach:

The Court found that there was absolute immunity for actions that fall within their “exclusive sphere of constitutional authority” while they enjoy presumptive immunity for other official acts. They do not enjoy immunity for unofficial, or private, actions.

The Court has often adopted tiered approaches in balancing the powers of the branches. For example, in his famous concurrence to Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer, 343 U.S. 579 (1952), Justice Robert Jackson broke down the line of authority between Congress and the White House into three groups where the President is acting with express or implied authority from Congress; where Congress is silent (“the zone of twilight” area); and where the President is acting in defiance of Congress.

The Court separated cases into actions taken in core areas of executive authority, official actions taken outside those core areas, and unofficial actions.  Actions deemed personal or unofficial are not protected under this ruling.

It is certainly true that the case affords considerable immunity, including for conversations with subordinates. However, as Chief Justice John Roberts lays out in the majority opinion, there has long been robust protections afforded to presidents.

There are also a host of checks and balances on executive authority in our constitutional system. This includes judicial intervention to prevent violations of the law as well as impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors.

What is interesting is not just what is stated but implied. Courts would quickly enjoin such efforts, but figures like Moore suggest that it would not matter. If so, Biden would not only flagrantly violate the Constitution, but then defy the authority of the federal courts. That includes unilaterally declaring an unratified amendment as ratified based on a meritless claim by the far left.

So President Biden would violate the Constitution, refuse to yield to the courts, and pursue his “bucket list” of priorities without any legal restraints. All would be done in defense of democracy. It shows how the line between tyranny and democracy can be lost in an age of rage.
