At last! Australia has a chance after all. Thanks to everyone involved!

Now - query: is there a NHJ! movement (?) on the Sunshine Coast, and if not - would anyone be interested in developing one? I was one of the lucky ones to get a NHJ! car sticker at the Sunshine Coast Uni on Sunday and appreciate being able to visibly demonstrate my 'Not Happy John' sentiments. Anyone interested in starting anything here, or who can give me information about an existing movement, please send me an email.

NHJ!(JR): No, thank you, Linda. The more localised groupings we get going across the country, especially if they can coalesce around a good local non-government/minor party/Independent/whatever democratic candidate, the better. So...calling any & all Sunshine seachangers, Labor centrists n' small-l Libs, hinterland hippies and hipsters, Montville and Maleny potters n' potterers, disgruntled deregulated dairy farmers, Noosa New (and not-so-new) Agers...and lefties, righties and anywhere-in-betweenies who simply share a hunger for more honesty, decency and accountability in politics, link up with Linda.

Here's one possible practical focus for a NHJ! push you may wanna check out, Linda: Longman is held only marginally by Minister Mal Brough. Don't know which Independents are gearing up for a run this time around...hell, it 'may' even be worth considering throwing any NHJ! oomph behind Labor's (ick! erk!) Steve Beckett, who came mighty close last time...this teasing little snippety from Antony Green's pre-election analysis presses my democratic seachange button, big time:

'Assessment: A key contest, as with a margin of 2.5%, Longman is at the point on the electoral pendulum where if Labor wins, a change in government is on the cards.'

Whoo-hooo! as Homer would say...

Then again, far be it from a Green like me to wish Labor well...you may have an Independent in mind already, Linda (or anyone else)? Either way, good luck and keep us informed.
