message to NATO: don't provoke russia.....
Russia’s foreign minister gave another bombshell address at the UN on Saturday, followed by a press conference. Here's what he said. 1. Message to NATO: Don't Try US Debunking NATO and EU leaders’ attempts to fearmonger their publics into believing that Russia has plans to attack, Lavrov emphasized that “any aggression” against Russia would be “decisively rebuffed.” Russia does not plan attacks on NATO countries, but any aggression will receive decisive resistance - Lavrov https://t.co/pktdn2NPBC pic.twitter.com/T1OjE7Xg2O — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 2. Attack Our Planes? Regret It Instantly Anyone trying to shoot down any flying object over Russia “will very much regret undertaking such an egregious violation of our territorial integrity,” Lavrov said, referencing recent NATO chatter on the targeting of Russian aircraft. Countries that will try to shoot down any objects in Russian air space will regret that - Lavrov https://t.co/M5xXPVbc18 pic.twitter.com/DZXFkm3YvQ — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 3. Root of the World's Problems It lies in some nations’ “incessant attempts” to divide the planet on geopolitical & ideological grounds between “democracies & autocracies,” “blooming gardens & jungles,” “those who are at the table & those who are ‘on the menu’,” Lavrov said. Russia stands for principle of SOVEREIGN EQUALITY of states - Lavrov at UNGA — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 4. Russia Sees Through UN Coup Attempt Against Palestine Russia rejects Israel’s plans to annex the West Bank, and its backers’ attempts to flout the decision of the global majority on the creation of a Palestinian state, Lavrov said. We are essentially dealing with an attempt to carry out a coup to bury the UN decision on the creation of a Palestinian state - Lavrov — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 5. Iran Sanctions Are Illegal The West’s rejection of the Russian-Chinese proposal to extend Iran nuclear sanctions relief “exposes” its role in “sabotaging the pursuit of constructive solutions,” according to the foreign minister. Western attempts to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran are illegal - Lavrov https://t.co/ARlewfOwGG pic.twitter.com/RSszSlRisO — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 6. Ukraine Talks Russia is ready to continue negotiations aimed at ending the Ukraine crisis, but these must address the conflict’s root causes, and the rights of Russians and Russian-speakers in Ukraine, Lavrov said. Russia remains open to negotiations to address the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict - Lavrov — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 7. 2022 Borders: That Ship Has Sailed “I don’t think anybody is really counting on that because counting on the restoration of those borders would be politically blind and would demonstrate an utter lack of understanding of what is taking place” in Ukraine, Lavrov stressed. To count on return to 2022 borders in Ukraine would be political blindness - Lavrov https://t.co/IvFQASjlD4 pic.twitter.com/wOBzufJCgy — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 8. Russian Proposal to Preserve Strategic Stability President Putin’s proposal to keep New START Treaty weapons limits in place can help Russia and the US avoid a nuclear arms race, Lavrov noted. Russia Supports Security Council Reform The global balance of power has fundamentally transformed since 1945, and Russia fully backs the “democratization” and expansion of Asian, African and Latin American representation at the Security Council, Lavrov said. Russia advocates for the reform of the UN Security Council, but "does not campaign for a revolution against anyone" - Lavrov https://t.co/IkUjDv5FsC pic.twitter.com/2cBLSYOOYv — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025 10. Russia-US Rapprochement Possible In today’s rapidly rapidly changing world, “not talking to each other is simply criminal,” Lavrov said, noting that Russia appreciates the Trump administration’s openness to dialogue aimed at resolving the current crisis in relations. Russia sees US readiness for frank dialogue, also ready for that - Lavrov https://t.co/pJkIfoeMBw pic.twitter.com/4vp79ULOmt — Sputnik (@SputnikInt) September 27, 2025

Hungary-Ukraine Tensions RISE Following Another DRONE IncidentUkraine has accused Hungary of sending drones into their airspace. This has prompted an exchange between Zelensky, Peter Szijjarto and Andrii Sybiha, with accusations being made by both sides. Ukraine Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has accused the Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto of being rude in his response to Zelensky and has also accused Hungary of being too friendly to Russia. Mr. Szijjarto has said listed all the problems which exist between Hungary and Ukraine and stated that these are the obstacles to Ukraine’s EU membership aspirations. Zelensky has warned that Ukraine will respond militarily to any such airspace violations. Dmitry Peskov has warned the Europeans leaders that their rhetoric might have dangerous consequences. Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, a close ally of Putin, said after a five-hour meeting with him that there is a “good proposal” for Ukraine, already shared with Trump in Alaska and now in Washington. He warned that if Ukraine rejects it, they could lose the entire country. This suggests Putin may be preparing to issue an ultimatum: accept terms or face total defeat.
The speaker notes that although Ukraine has inflicted damage on Russia’s fuel infrastructure with drone strikes, Russia retains overwhelming military advantages in manpower, missiles, drones, and production capacity. Evidence points to Russia stockpiling drones and weapons, possibly for a massive, unprecedented wave attack—potentially 10,000 drones and missiles in a single night—that Ukraine’s limited air defenses could not withstand. Such a strike could collapse Ukrainian defenses and cause catastrophic losses.
Meanwhile, Zelensky signaled a slightly more conciliatory stance, suggesting Ukraine might accept a ceasefire without immediately regaining all lost territory, aiming instead to reclaim it diplomatically later. However, he refused to recognize Russian-occupied territories as permanently lost, leaving major gaps between Ukrainian and Russian positions.
