"not every genocide is a holocaust...."
The chairman of the Jerusalem-based Yad Vashem World Holocaust Remembrance Center has said it was the right decision to reject a request from Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky to deliver a speech at the institution. Kiev’s ambassador to Israel approached the center soon after the Ukraine conflict escalated in February 2022, asking if Zelensky would be allowed to address members of the national legislature and other officials at the site during an event which would be broadcast internationally. The request was turned down. According to the chairman of the center, Dani Dayan, he expected Zelensky to draw parallels between the Holocaust and the Ukraine conflict – something that he found unacceptable. “I immediately understood what he was getting at,” Dayan told the German newspaper NOZ in an interview published on Saturday. “Not every war crime is genocide, and not every genocide is a Holocaust.” Dayan also admitted that he would likely have had to intervene and “interrupt” Zelensky during the event to prevent the Ukrainian leader from distorting history. “In Ukraine, there were not only victims of the Holocaust. Ukrainians were also [Nazi] accomplices, and, in some cases, primary perpetrators,” Dayan told NOZ, adding that canceling the event was the “right” thing to do. Russia has long accused Kiev of promoting neo-Nazism and glorifying Nazi collaborators, including the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which waged a mass killing campaign between 1943 and 1945 against Poles and Jews, in which more than 100,000 people perished. Moscow has repeatedly warned of a Nazi revival in Ukraine and cited “denazification” as one of the main goals of its military operation against Kiev. Zelensky tried nonetheless to portray Ukraine as the victim of a Holocaust-like genocide when he addressed Israeli legislators and officials via a video conference in March 2022. His choice of words sparked a wave of indignation among the politicians. Religious Zionist Party leader Bezalel Smotrich branded it an “infuriating and ridiculous comparison.” Israel’s communications minister at the time, Yoaz Hendel, called it “outrageous” and then MP Yuval Steinitz stated that Zelensky’s words were close to “Holocaust denial” and amounted to a “complete distortion of history.” https://www.rt.com/news/630434-holocaust-remembrance-turn-down-zelensky/

Israel opposes Ukraine’s glorification of World War II Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera, the Jewish state’s acting ambassador to Russia, Alexander Ben Zvi, has told TASS. In comments published on Monday, Ben Zvi confirmed that Israeli authorities are aware of the Bandera cult in Ukraine and have raised the issue with Kiev. Bandera was a leader in the militant Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and headed the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) during World War II. The group collaborated with Nazi Germany to massacre over 100,000 Poles, Jews, Russians, and Soviet-aligned Ukrainians. https://www.rt.com/news/614731-israel-ukraine-nazi-glorification/

Russia’s embassy in Austria has condemned Vienna for what it said was the authorities’ “effective indulgence” of a march by Ukrainian ultra-nationalists to mark the birthday of Stepan Bandera. Bandera, a convicted terrorist who had been serving time in Poland for plotting to kill their interior minister, was freed by the Nazis and collaborated with them during World War II with the intention of creating a Ukrainian state aligned with Germany. In a statement posted on Friday, the embassy said it felt “nothing but deep disgust” at what it called a provocative stunt by a “handful” of Ukrainian radicals based in Austria, who celebrated “a Nazi accomplice” and “war criminal” in central Vienna. https://www.rt.com/news/630365-russia-slams-austria-neonazi-march/

CIA lies....
Yes, the CIA is Lying About the Drone Attack on Putin
by Larry C. Johnson
Didn’t take the CIA too long to try to debunk Russia’s claim that Ukraine, with the assistance of NATO intelligence, launched 91 drones at the official residence of Vladimir Putin in Novgorod… A CIA report was leaked to the media. The headlines last night — 31 December — in the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal insisted that the Russians were lying. The NY Times proclaimed: Ukraine Did Not Target Putin’s Home, C.I.A. Finds. The WSJ followed suit: U.S. Finds Ukraine Didn’t Target Putin in Drone Strike.
Here is a condensed summary of the WSJ article:
U.S. national security officials, including assessments from the CIA, concluded that Ukraine did not target Russian President Vladimir Putin or his Valdai country residence in northwestern Russia’s Novgorod region during a recent drone operation. This directly contradicts Moscow’s claims that Kyiv launched 91 drones in an assassination attempt on Putin over the weekend of December 28-29, 2025.
According to a U.S. official cited in the article, Ukrainian forces aimed at a military target in the same general region—one they had previously struck—but the site was not near Putin’s residence. No attack occurred on the residence itself.
The Russian accusation surfaced shortly after positive U.S.-brokered peace talks between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Ukraine denying the claims as an attempt to derail negotiations. President Trump initially expressed anger after Putin raised the issue in a phone call but later appeared to downplay it by sharing a New York Post editorial criticizing Russia’s “bluster” as obstructing peace.
Russia provided some details, including drone wreckage and flight path maps, but U.S. intelligence found no evidence supporting an intent to target Putin personally. The findings align with Ukraine’s denials and highlight tensions amid ongoing efforts to end the war.
Did you catch the Male Bovine Excrement (MBE) in the so called CIA debunking?
Ukrainian forces aimed at a military target in the same general region—one they had previously struck—but the site was not near Putin’s residence. No attack occurred on the residence itself.
How does the CIA know that the Ukrainians were aiming at a military target near the Putin residence since all of the drones were shot down? Did the Ukrainians tell their CIA handlers or was it something more sinister. Let’s start with the fact that the CIA tacitly admitted that, as the Russians claimed, 91 drones were shot down. If no drones had been launched — which the Russians already had debunked by showing the flight paths of each — then the CIA should have simply said, “No drones were launched.”
I think it is something potentially more sinister… Did the CIA know about the intended target because CIA personnel provided Ukraine with the targeting data? This may be the reason that the Russians are so furious about a drone attack that didn’t kill anyone.
Before introducing my appearances on two recent podcasts I want you to watch a short video that shows how much territory Russia has captured in 2025… Despite Western claims that Russia is creeping forward with great difficulty, the video tells a different story.
