keeping you safe .....The Bushit administration’s Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act redefines what a terrorist is. The Act’s definition of a terrorist is so broad that an protester, for just about anything, could be labelled a terrorist. Also do not fly in and out of the country more than a few times… they may suspect you. Almost 1 million people will be put on the terrorist “watch list” by the end of 2008. This is incredible & utterly insane. How can the US government expect its citizens to believe that 1 in every 350 of its citizens need to be watched? How can the Bushit crazies say that the Patriot Act is for their protection? Watching 1 million people is not for their protection! How big must the US government get to be able to watch this many people? Spying on 1 million people makes the government the biggest terrorist of them all. And just in case you still think that Americans should feel 'safer' being spied on by the gangsters on the Potomac, think about this piece of incompetence ..... USA Today reports that fishermen on Lake Erie must now carry passports, in case they cross the invisible border with Canada that bisects the lake. Then, thanks to the genius of the Department of Homeland Insecurity, when they return to shore, they must drive to a government office & have their pictures taken!!!! This is yet another example of what a sham the Bushit administration’s supposed ‘war on terror’ is. It's more evidence that the idiot governments simply don’t get it & are trying to do too much, in too many areas, with too little focus. It remains the case that, statistically speaking, the danger presented by terrorism is one of the smallest we face. It's more evidence that idiot governments simply don’t get it & are trying to do too much, in too many areas, with too little focus. The new Lake Erie passport/photograph requirement is just one more government overreaction: another in a long line of reminders of what a misguided, unfocused joke the war on terror has become. Another in a long list of reminders that citizens everywhere should be more afraid of ‘their’ governments than the terrorists that their governments’ criminal activities inevitably create.
