mr negativity...Mr Abbott blamed the Labor Party for the focus on his persona rather than policies. "What we are seeing is an orchestrated campaign from the Labor Party to try to play the man and not the ball," he said. "We saw a classic case of this on the weekend, you had the prime minister tweeting best wishes to me as I was involved in a major community event while you had his ministers out there, in what was plainly an orhcestrated way, suggesting that there was something wrong with a senior politician competing in a triathlon." http://www.smh.com.au/national/ive-enough-drama-without-a-coach-abbott-20100401-rgnb.html --------------------

wrong easter message from the bodgie-smuggler...
from the ABC
The Uniting Church's president has described Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott's language on asylum seekers as "extreme".
Mr Abbott said this week that a Coalition government would do "whatever it takes" to stop unauthorised boat arrivals in Australian waters.
Reverend Alistair Macrae says his Easter message is for Australians to be more welcoming to asylum seekers.
He says there has been a mean-spirited approach to the issue.
"Mr Abbott's phrase 'whatever it takes' is slightly chilling to me," he said.

Gus: do not forget that Abbott is a committed catholic — a religion that preaches one to open arms to the poor and the destitute... May be our bodgie-smugglers has misunderstood "arms" to mean "machine guns"... "Whatever it takes" is a silly non-defined quip that shows Abbott is loosing a few more tiles of his roof by the day...
after cremating a pair of underpants...
The election battle is likely to see Labor attack the Coalition's record on workplace relations.
But Federal Opposition leader Tony Abbott will try to neutralise the issue of industrial relations in a speech in Brisbane today.
He will say WorkChoices is dead - he is not just burying the body he is cremating it.
Unions attacked him over an earlier attempt because he said "the word WorkChoices is dead" and they claimed he would bring it back under another name.
But Mr Abbott is expected to say the Howard government went too far with WorkChoices and he has well and truly absorbed the lessons.

If you believe Tony, you must also believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and think concrete Garden Gnomes travel the world on their own...
Some people cremate their dead for improving the speed of reincarnation...
One should be weary of Tony cremating something... The latest thing he burnt on a barbecue was a pair of colourful undies, jokingly requesting a breathing apparatus, just before launching his loony bin policy... Pity his fundamentals (as in "getting the ecomonic fundamentals right"-wing) were not in the burning underpants.
What's his obsession with burning things? See toon at top.
