Apocalunatics

OK, Gus, whaddya reckon about the Archies?

I can't tell from here, and wouldn't know anyway, but I reckon the Adam Chang will pop up. The Rodney Pople deserves a closer look. If Jeffery Smart had worn a different jumper ....? But I like the Ben Quilty of Beryl B. It has the trademarks of an Archie, and the subject is worthy, but none of that seems to matter.

Is this the End of Art? That could be what Homo Apocalypticus is on about, but it is in Italian. Can anyone do a faithful translation?

Re: Apocalunatics

From here, mate, we are entering a very complex and iffy world of visual perceptions and interpretations, as well as massive cultural clashes of beliefs that involve immigration and all that.

My Spanish is a bit rusty but I'm plowing through the original text of "Homo apocalypticus" in that lingua, (not Italian which I can also read to a point). I am reading also other original manuscripts in various languages about semiology which is also part of this domain.
I have written extensively in the past about artistic and symbolic expression and interpretation. We can discuss this till the cows come home. But I'll try to bring some concise info on this.
