As you may have noticed by the jewelled lettering on Senator Coonan's coat, the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) is delighted to announce that Senator Helen Coonan, Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, will be patron of the 2005 iAwards.

According to AIIA's Chief Executive Officer, Rob Durie, Senator Coonan's endorsement cements the iAwards as the premier awards program for the ICT (Information and Communications Technology ) industry in Australia .
