So, it didn’t take long for our freshly minted Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop, to find out that her infamous ‘death stare’ doesn’t work in the real world of international diplomacy. 

And doubtless the Minister would have been absolutely chuffed to have had her impeccably coiffured bacon pulled from the fire by the heroic diplomatic master class buffoon, Lord Downer of Baghdad?
