nut country ...

nut country ...

Just consider the accusations that have been levelled at the President:

  • He has betrayed the Constitution, which he swore to uphold.

  • He has committed treason by befriending Russia and other enemies of America.

  • He has subjugated America’s interests to Moscow.

  • He has been caught in fantastic lies to the American people, including personal ones, like his previous marriage and divorce.

President Donald Trump?

No, President John F. Kennedy.

What lots of Americans don’t realize, because it was kept secret from them for so long, is that what Trump has been enduring from the national-security establishment, the mainstream press, and the American right-wing for his outreach to, or “collusion with,” Russia pales compared to what Kennedy had to endure for committing the heinous “crime” of reaching out to Russia and the rest of the Soviet Union in a spirit of peace and friendship.

They hated him for it. They abused him. They insulted him. They belittled him. They called him naïve. They said he was a traitor.

All of the nasties listed above, plus more, were contained in an advertisement and a flier that appeared in Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963, the day that Kennedy was assassinated.

They can be read here and here.

Ever since then, some people have tried to make it seem like the advertisement and flier expressed only the feelings of extreme right-wingers in Dallas. That’s nonsense. They expressed the deeply held convictions of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the CIA, the conservative movement, and many people within the mainstream media and Washington establishment.

In June 1963, Kennedy threw down the gauntlet in a speech he delivered at American University, now entitled the “Peace Speech.” It was one of the most remarkable speeches ever delivered by an American president. It was broadcast all across the communist Soviet Union, the first time that had ever been done.

In the speech, Kennedy announced that he was bringing an end to the Cold War and the mindset of hostility toward Russia and the rest of the Soviet Union that the U.S. national-security establishment had inculcated in the minds of the American people ever since the end of World War II.

It was a radical notion and, as Kennedy well understood, a very dangerous one insofar as he was concerned. The Cold War against America’s World War II partner and ally had been used to convert the United States from a limited-government republic to a national-security state, one consisting of a vast, permanent military establishment, the CIA, and the NSA, along with their broad array of totalitarian-like powers, such as assassination, regime change, coups, invasions, torture, surveillance, and the like. Everyone was convinced that the Cold War - and the so-called threat from the international communist conspiracy that was supposedly based in Russia - would last forever, which would naturally mean permanent and ever-increasing largess for what Kennedy’s predecessor, President Dwight Eisenhower, had  called the “military-industrial complex.”

Suddenly, Kennedy was upending the Cold War apple cart by threatening to establish a relationship of friendship and peaceful coexistence with Russia, the rest of the Soviet Union, and Cuba.

Kennedy knew full well that his actions were considered by some to be a grave threat to “national security.” After all, don’t forget that it was Guatemalan President Jacobo Arbenz’s outreach to the Soviets in a spirit of friendship that got him ousted from power by the CIA and presumably targeted for assassination as part of that regime-change operation. It was Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s outreach to the Soviets in a spirit of friendship that made him the target of Pentagon and CIA regime-change operations, including through invasion, assassination, and sanctions. It was Congo leader’s Patrice Lamumba’s outreach to the Soviets in a spirit of friendship that got him targeted for assassination by the CIA. It would be Chilean President Salvador Allende’s outreach to the Soviets in a spirit of friendship that got him targeted in a CIA-instigated coup in Chile that resulted in Allende’s death.

Kennedy wasn’t dumb. He knew what he was up against. He had heard Eisenhower warn the American people in his Farewell Address about the dangers to their freedom and democratic way of life posed by the military establishment. After Kennedy had read the novel Seven Days in May, which posited the danger of a military coup in America, he asked friends in Hollywood to make it into a movie to serve as a warning to the American people. In the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis, when the Pentagon and the CIA were exerting extreme pressure on Kennedy to bomb and invade Cuba, his brother Bobby told a Soviet official with whom he was negotiating that the president was under a severe threat of being ousted in a coup. And, of course, Kennedy was fully mindful of what had happened to Arbenz, Lamumba, and Castro for doing what Kennedy was now doing - reaching out to the Soviets in a spirit of friendship.

In the eyes of the national-security establishment, one simply did not reach out to Russia, Cuba, or any other “enemy” of America. Doing so, in their eyes, made Kennedy an appeaser, betrayer, traitor, and a threat to “national security.”

Kennedy didn’t stop with his Peace Speech. He also began negotiating a treaty with the Soviets to end above-ground nuclear testing, an action that incurred even more anger and ire within the Pentagon and the CIA. Yes, that’s right - they said that “national security” depended on the U.S. government’s continuing to do what they object to North Korea doing today - conducting nuclear tests, both above ground and below ground.

Kennedy mobilized public opinion to overcome fierce opposition in the military, CIA, Congress, and the Washington establishment to secure passage of his Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

He then ordered a partial withdrawal of troops from Vietnam, and told close aides that he would order a complete pull-out after winning the 1964 election. In the eyes of the U.S. national-security establishment, leaving Vietnam subject to a communist takeover would pose a grave threat to national security here in the United States.

Worst of all, from the standpoint of the national-security establishment, Kennedy began secret personal negotiations with Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev and Cuban leader Fidel Castro to bring an end to America’s Cold War against them. That was considered to be a grave threat to “national security” as well as a grave threat to all the military and intelligence largess that depended on the Cold War.

By this time, Kennedy’s war with the national-security establishment was in full swing. He had already vowed to tear the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds after its perfidious conduct in the Bay of Pigs fiasco. By this time, he had also lost all confidence in the military after it proposed an all-out surprise nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, much as Japan had done at Pearl Harbor, after the infamous plan known as Operation Northwoods, which proposed terrorist attacks and plane hijackings carried out by U.S. agents posing as Cuban communists, so as to provide a pretext for invading Cuba, and after the Cuban Missile Crisis, when the military establishment accused him of appeasement and treason for agreeing not to ever invade Cuba again.

What Kennedy didn’t know was that his “secret” negotiations with the Soviet and Cuban communists weren’t so secret after all. As it turns out, it was a virtual certainty that the CIA (or NSA) was listening in on telephone conversations of Cuban officials at the UN in New York City, much as the CIA and NSA still do today, during which they would have learned what the president was secretly doing behind their backs.

Kennedy’s feelings toward the people who were calling him a traitor for befriending Moscow and other “enemies” of America? In response to the things that were said in that advertisement and flier about him being a traitor for befriending Russia, he told his wife Jackie on the morning he was assassinated: “We are heading into nut country today.” Of course, as he well knew, the nuts weren’t located only in Dallas. They were also situated throughout the U.S. national-security establishment.

The Russian Obsession Goes Back Decades

New Atheists generally

New Atheists generally believe that science has gradually erased our need for God. Isaac Newton once argued that God guaranteed the orbits of the planets. LaPlace [sic] showed that we had no need of that hypothesis. William Paley believed that God designed the body plans of complex organisms. Charles Darwin argued that Natural Selection could do that job without any divine tinkering. Little by little, science is explaining God away; or so the story goes.

So has science explained God away? To answer that question, we need to reflect a little on how one hypothesis can “explain away” another theory. Consider the assassination of JFK in 1963. If a “lone gunman” hypothesis could be verified, there would be very little need to invoke a  “conspiracy hypothesis”. If there was no clear compelling evidence linking JFK’s killer to a  band of conspirators, then the conspiracy hypothesis has been explained away.

--------------

Here we need to panic. The Christians are walking on the toes of scientific analysis using very dubious manipulated methods of indoctrination… After going through the motions of meticulously explaining the assassination of JFK and why we cannot conclude anything about it, the Saints and Sceptics website invite us to believe in god and give some cash. How unusual.

Without cash, a lot of things would die off, including Saudi Arabia’s attempts at indoctrinating the world with crap, such as the capture of Donald Dick’s impossible mind. We must be careful. We could be walking on the toes of do-gooders who accept that everyone is entitled to their opium (sorry I mean opinion) and that the Saudis have the right to practice extremist Wahhabism, because women, once indoctrinated, don’t have to know any better to feel good about being beaten because they have sinned anyway.

So why can’t we know why JFK was shot? The mystery of the trinity? Rubbish. Evidence of the assassination were tempered with and the one who was arrested for shooting the President, Lee Harvey Oswald, was shot soon after by a nutcase, Jack Ruby, who got the very light sentence of death penalty for being a “nutcase”. While his case was going to retrial on appeal, he unfortunately died of lung cancer in prison. So the reality is that the JFK killing forensics don’t add up. This has nothing to do with the mystery of god. Only that some bastards have cleaned up the traces of whatever, which could have been a well orchestrated conspiracy by White Russians who did not want the Russian government to make progress with the USA. This is plausible considering Oswald had some “Russian history”.

Validating Russia would have validated the communist regime for crissake at the time. That’s my belief, apart from the possibility of the mafia being hired by the CIA to top the guy in Dallas for the same reason. Or the Martians of course. But KFK assassination being a mystery that should lead us to believe in god? You’re kidding, no?

The main theme of this rant about this Saints and Sinners (I mean sceptics) website is their long running big beef with Richard Dawkins who is getting older I supposed since we have not heard a pip from him for a couple of years -- and getting tired of the rubbish in the mind of "others".

Dawkins still needs our support against the viledom of any Christendom or other religious devices. Look, believing in god does not make any more sense than the changing weather to the caveman. Actually the caveman understood the weather as much as we do these days, though some people are mixing their weather with their global warming to confuse us. The notion of god punishing the descendents of two apple-eating idiots in a paradise, then sending his son for the descendents to nail the dude to a couple of crossed bits of wood to redeem the said descendents after having nearly wiped them out in a fit of delugian rage for not being uniquely adored, makes as much sense as a selfish donut without a hole. Or a golden calf in front of Wall Street. The Golden Calf actually makes more sense than the theory of the old bloke in the clouds considering gold is a tangible exchange asset of which I have none.  Should one remove the constantly added suds from the cunning brainwashing, the theory of god would look like the brain of JFK after his final bad day. The god story is actually full of hollow sorry stupidity.

Science does not explain everything. Big deal. Religion doesn’t explain one single thing. It has to borrow from sciences to explain what it has mucked up for the last 4,000 years of self-promotion. Genesis is definite-ish. Wars have been given the imprimatur of the supreme being, though they are no more than grubby steal-and-destroy affairs for profit. Love thy neighbour but bash’im up if you need some salt to add to your pretzels. The god of the Bible and of the Q’ran are monsters that encourages people to defeat the infidels, especially the non-believers by whatever means – bombs, guns, garrottes, preaching… swords… That we would defend our little patch because we believe it’s our patch is fair enough, but god is a complete idiot in this equation.

We cannot, of course, disprove God, just as we can't disprove Thor, fairies, leprechauns and the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Dawkins is more polite that I am. He is too respectful of religious beliefs by not indulging in the destruction of the biblical loony tales, but in the promotion of evidence by association with loony tunes.

A delusion is something that people believe in despite a total lack of evidence.

There is more reality in one Qubit than there is in sermons preached in a million churches. Big statement by Gus here. Though most of us mere mortals have no idea what they are talking about, the Quantum mechanic physicists and the computer nerds have merged forces to create the next stage of computing: Quantum computers using qubits. Open your parachute:

In quantum computing, a qubit (/ˈkjuːbɪt/) or quantum bit (sometimes qbit) is a unit of quantum information—the quantum analogue of the classical bit. A qubit is a two-state quantum-mechanical system, such as the polarization of a single photon: here the two states are vertical polarization and horizontal polarization.  In a classical system, a bit would have to be in one state or the other. However, quantum mechanics allows the qubit to be in a superposition of both states at the same time, a property that is fundamental to quantum computing.

Read more at Wikipedia and give some cash to this worthy organisation on behalf of Gus:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qubit

Don’t despair. You’re not the only one not to understand a word of what is said here. But apparently, if my sources are correct one needs only 200 Qubits to store more info than there are atoms in the entire universe -- not counting the dark matter…

So you can see why Microsoft has just thrown one billion bucks towards quantum computerisation.

But Microsoft is not the only one to fork out a lot of dosh for this “very delicate” state of matter that needs super cold (0+ Kelvin) and so far only exist for less than a thousand of a micro second. PFUIiiiit. It’s gone.

At this stage I think the West has just realised the Russians are way ahead in this race to find the eternal qubit. This could be why the Donald is in trouble for trying to befriend the Ruskies.

Imagine that a Qubit is ONE tiny photon (or an ion, in some much rougher research labs) that can have two positions at once. This required a leap of faith in Quantum mechanics in which there is a cat alive and dead at the same time in a box. In computing, this means that it’s “on” and “off” at the same time. It makes the story of god, the demons, the angels and genesis look more palatable by the minute, despite these genesis stories being complete baloney…

What follows in the Qubit world is even weirder. Einstein spent 30 years of his life trying to disprove quantum mechanics, especially the postulation of entanglement. Entanglement of atoms is a bit like someone on the other side of the world, possible living on the moon, having the same thoughts as you at this particular moment.

And this is not coincidence -- it’s entanglement. It’s force feed “field” without the field. If this has not blown up a couple of your neurotic neurons, you haven’t been paying any attention.

And yet the theory of Qubits is far more real that the existence of god. That Qubits can be used for computing is elusive still though possible. Qubits can be proven while god is still a lot of bullshit.

the assassination of JFK in 1963 has nothing to do with a godly interpretation. The mystery stems from evidence that has been “spirited” away by various mismanagement and manipulation of forensics. Simple.

Blame the CIA and the White Ruskies in bed together with the Mafia...

the creeds of the assassins...

By Patrick J. Buchanan

James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois, who aspired to end his life as a mass murderer of Republican Congressmen, was a Donald Trump hater and a Bernie Sanders backer.

Like many before him, Hodgkinson was a malevolent man of the hating and hard left.

His planned atrocity failed because two Capitol Hill cops were at that Alexandria baseball field, providing security for House Whip Steve Scalise. Had those cops not been there, a massacre would have ensued with many more dead than the gunman.

Recall. There were no armed citizens at that Tucson grocery in 2011, when six were murdered and Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was gravely wounded along with a dozen others. The nutcase doing the shooting was only wrestled to the ground when he dropped a clip trying to reload.

The Alexandria attack brings back memories of long ago.

A day before my 12th birthday, when I was in Children’s Hospital with a broken leg, my parents brought me the news that Puerto Rican terrorists had just attempted to assassinate Harry Truman at Blair House. A heroic cop, Leslie Coffelt, died stopping them.

In my second year in high school, blocks from the Capitol, Puerto Rican nationalists entered the visitor’s gallery of the House and began firing semiautomatic pistols. Five Congressmen were wounded.

Democratic politics has often proven a dangerous calling.

Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley and JFK — one in every 10 of all our presidents — were assassinated.

Attending a service for a South Carolina Congressman in the Capitol in 1835, President Jackson survived twin misfires of two pistols. Old Hickory used his cane to attack his assailant, who was collared by Congressman Davy Crockett of Tennessee.

As a third-party candidate for president in 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was shot in the chest. “It takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose,” Teddy scoffed, and finished his speech.

In February 1933, President-elect FDR, in Miami, was the target of would-be assassin Giuseppe Zangara, whose arm was jostled at the moment of firing. The bullet killed Chicago Mayor Anton Cermak.

Between the assassination of JFK in 1963 and near-mortal wounding of President Reagan by John Hinckley in 1981, Martin Luther King was murdered in Memphis in April 1968, and Sen. Robert Kennedy, two months later, in Los Angeles.

Presidential candidate George Wallace, campaigning in Laurel, Maryland, was shot five times in May 1972 by Arthur Bremer, who had spent weeks stalking President Nixon. President Ford was the target of two attempts on his life in 1975, the first by a Manson Family hanger-on Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, the second by radical leftist Sara Jane Moore.

What drove the assassins?

In the early 20th century, it was anarchism. McKinley was killed by anarchist Leon Czolgosz in Buffalo, New York.

In 1919, Carlo Valdinaci tried to assassinate Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer with a bomb on his porch at 2132 R Street. Valdinoci tripped on a wicket and his dynamite bomb exploded prematurely, blasting Carlo’s body parts all over the neighborhood.

Palmer’s neighbor across the street, Assistant Secretary of the Navy Franklin Roosevelt, rushed over to help.

Palmer ordered a roundup of anarchists in what came to be known as “Palmer Raids,” and put in charge of field operations a 24-year-old lawyer and D.C. law-enforcement prodigy by the name of John Edgar Hoover.

Hoover’s career flourished. But the career of America’s most famous anarchist, Emma Goldman, faded. She and ex-lover Alexander Berkman, who had tried to kill Carnegie Steel’s Henry Clay Frick during the violent Homestead Strike of 1892, were rounded up and deported in 1920 with hundreds of anarchists to the new Russia of Lenin and Trotsky in a ship the press dubbed “the Red Ark.”

A. Mitchell Palmer did not get the 1920 presidential nomination he was seeking. But neighbor FDR did make it onto the ticket.

As radical anarchists were the principal terrorists of the first quarter of the 20th century, and Puerto Rican nationalist-terrorists dominated the 1950s, the 1960s and early 1970s were marked by the seemingly endless violence of the hard left, beginning with the Communist Oswald, who had tried to shoot Gen. Edwin Walker in Dallas before killing JFK.

The campus violence and urban riots of the decade, from Harlem to Watts to Newark and Detroit, to Washington, D.C., and 100 cities after Dr. King’s death, were not the work of the Goldwater right.

Those were the days of the Black Panthers, Students for a Democratic Society, Weatherman and the Symbionese Liberation Army. It was America’s radical left shooting cops and burning down ROTC buildings. Leftist violence propelled the political careers of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.

As for James Hodgkinson, he was a Trump-hating left-wing terrorist.

And those who incite sick minds with images of a bloodstained decapitated head of the president, and cheer Central Park productions of “Julius Caesar” with the assassinated Roman Consul made up to look like the president, cannot evade moral culpability.

I do not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was a hard-left communist. My simpleton view is that he had joined the "White Russians", the hard-right and the Mafia that did not want any rapprochement between the USA and the USSR which would have validated the USSR. Kennedy was in favour of better relations with the USSR, so was Menzies in Australia and a host of other Western Leaders.

still in the dark...

The new files were, for the most part, attuned with past government releases about the Kennedy assassination. None of them have called the means or opportunity of the crime into question: Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy from the Texas School Book Depository with his $21 mail-order rifle.

However, much is still unknown about why Oswald killed Kennedy. The official line is that Oswald was a lone gunman acting separately of any sort of organization, agency or backer. Oswald himself was assassinated just two days after Kennedy, claiming until his death that he was innocent and a "patsy."

Earlier documents demonstrated that US intelligence misled or lied to Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren and his team of commissioners (which included then-CIA head Allen Dulles). In 2013, the CIA released a report claiming that the CIA undertook a "benign cover-up" to prevent the commission from straying from "what the Agency believed was the 'best truth' — that Lee Harvey Oswald, for as yet undetermined motives, had acted alone in killing John Kennedy."

Politico reported that "Congressional and other government officials" privately told them that the CIA and FBI are expected to appeal to Trump to keep some of the files sealed for good. The CIA has never budged from their official line that Oswald worked alone, and there is no credible evidence that Oswald was acting under any intelligence agency's direction.

Let me repeat here what makes the most sense of the deed:

I do not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was a hard-left communist. My simpleton view is that he had joined the "White Russians", the hard-right and the Mafia that did not want any rapprochement between the USA and the USSR which Kennedy was after and which would have validated the USSR. Kennedy was in favour of better relations with the USSR, so was Menzies in Australia and a host of other Western Leaders.

sheep dipping...

There seems little doubt that Kennedy was “taken out” by executive action, a term used by the CIA and its Deep States operatives, including the numerous hit men that triangulated the ambush on JFK’s motorcade on that fateful day in Dealey Plaza, Dallas.

The 24-year-old Oswald was “just a patsy”, as he proclaimed, before he was shot dead, in turn, two days after Kennedy’s assassination, while in police custody.

There is sound evidence that Oswald was working as an informer for the FBI trying to alert it to the plot to kill Kennedy. The plot was masterminded by the CIA and implemented by contract killers from the mafia and rightwing Cuban exiles. Hours before his own death, Oswald tried to make a desperate phone call to his handlers from the Dallas police station. The call was never put through, but the switchboard operator came forward years later and the number was traced to someone in the secret services.

As for the CIA’s “concerns” about Oswald’s alleged meetings with Cuban and Russian officials in Mexico City during September 1963, many researchers believe it was not Oswald who participated in the strange encounters. Plausibly, it was an imposter employed by the CIA to later implicate Oswald – a process known as “sheep dipping”.

Russian records of Oswald’s alleged visits to its embassy in Mexico City say that he behaved unruly as if the meeting was designed to create a memorable commotion. Also, the person claiming to be Oswald spoke terrible Russian, whereas the real Oswald was fluent in the language, having married a Russian-born woman.

So why was John F Kennedy assassinated? Because, from a personal process of political education, the former Cold Warrior Kennedy realized that his nation needed to normalize relations with the Soviet Union. JFK had set up backchannel communications with his Russian counterpart Nikita Khrushchev to negotiate landmark nuclear weapons disarmament.

Kennedy had also set up backchannels with Cuban leader Fidel Castro to negotiate ending covert American operations to overthrow his government.

The genuine grief and sadness spoken by both Khrushchev and Castro on the news of Kennedy’s assassination is on the record, as James Douglass recounts in his book.

The notion that either of these foreign leaders would have conspired in, or inspired, JFK’s murder is plain nonsense, given the detente initiatives underway at the time.

on the 26 of october 2017...

Top secret files are due to be declassified this month in a move that could bring closure to one of the most traumatic events in US history – the assassination of President John F Kennedy.

A law was signed by former President George H.W. Bush in 1992 mandating the release of all documents related to Kennedy's assassination within 25 years. Under the JFK Records Act of 1992, the National Archives has until 26 October of this year to disclose the remaining files relating to the assassination, unless President Trump determines that doing so would be harmful to national security. There are about 3,100 files still sealed by the National Archives.

Most right-thinking people would like to see the files released, to put an end to the constant speculation about the death of one of history’s most iconic politicians.

Prepare yourself to see a lot of blackened (redacted) pages, paragraphs and lines...

"watch out donald"

President Trump may block some of the classified documents relating to the Kennedy assassination from being released next week, according to administration officials. Social media users are pressing the president to release the files, saying that they 'may save Trump's life' and urging him not to become a 'deep state puppet'.

White House officials told Politico that among the 3,000+ secret assassination-related documents, which must be released later this month in accordance with a 1992 law, some documents from the 1990s may be kept classified. Officials did not comment on which specific details regarding John F. Kennedy's November 1963 assassination may be kept secret. White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said only that the administration is working "to ensure that the maximum amount of data can be released to the public."

no conspiration...

The US alphabet agencies recently released some formerly classified files on JFK. There’s nothing much in them, because well…why would there be? Supposing the CIA were complicit, who’s going to release, 50 years after the event, the evidence of their own coup? We haven’t covered it here, at OffG, because it doesn’t really need any attention. It’s a charity dump, a distraction. It allows Trump to look like he’s combating the Deep State, when in fact he’s firmly on the leash. That the CIA or FBI didn’t suddenly produce proof of their complicity in JFK’s assassination is not evidence of anything.

Jonathan Freedland, writing one of his toxic editorials in The Guardian, begs to differ. The fact that CIA didn’t release any evidence they did it…is evidence they didn’t do it, according to Freedland. His column, long on mockery and self-righteous smears but short on evidence (as usual), does nothing but demonstrate three things:

1. He is only just barely acquainted with the facts of the JFK case.
2. He has no faculty for basic logical thinking.
3. He is not averse to practicing intellectual dishonesty.

If you’ve been paying even the slightest bit of attention, none of these will come as a surprise.

But this article isn’t about JFK – we’ve written about that before, and will do again. But not today. This article isn’t about Freedland’s aggressively uninformed opinions, his cloying prose or his ill-deserved sense of moral superiority. It’s about the world-view he’s trying to market between banner ads begging for money. It’s about his smug insistence that conspiracy theories just don’t happen.

Or, to be more specific, conspiracy theories don’t happen…here.

evidence does not stack up...

You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to question the official version of the Kennedy assassination, says barrister James O'Neill. The evidence presented is problematic.

The recent partial release of further documents related to the JFK assassination of 22 November 1963 has caused a flurry of interest in what remains probably the major unresolved crime of the 20th Century.

The mainstream media have not been deterred from repeating their long time mantra that Lee Harvey Oswald, firing from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD), killed Kennedy. The very fact that this singular version is consistently put forward in the face of overwhelming evidence that it is not true is a very good reason to doubt the veracity of every other claim put forward by the mainstream media unless it can be independently corroborated from incontrovertible facts.

An equally tired and trite meme is to label all who question the official version, most commonly referred to as the Warren Commission Report, as “conspiracy theorists” and is also either evidence of lazy journalism, or more likely, yet another device to discredit critics of the official version.

Opinion polls consistently show a solid majority of citizens are at the very least sceptical of the Warren Report, or reject its conclusions entirely. It is not because the said majority have been captivated by the alternative media, or have succumbed to some mass delusion.

That scepticism is based on very solid evidence and the fact that the mainstream media resolutely refuses to even mention that evidence is a further indictment on its veracity, regard for the historical record and ability to see how a major geopolitical shift following the events of 22 November 1963 occurred. In the same way, 9/11 also marked a seminal point in geopolitics, as well as confirming the inability of the mainstream media to fully and fairly inform its audience of what would clearly be uncomfortable facts.

The more "information" comes...

The more "information" comes out of the wood work, the more it becomes credible that Lee Harvey Oswald was a fake "double"-agent, fully working for the CIA. Bear with me. It's most likely that his "marxist tendencies" were a front to give him entry into the communists of Cuba and Russia. There, he would have been seen as a possible double agent, but Cuba and Russia won't tell as they could be embarrassed that they had been conned by the guy — and thus, by default, been implicated in the assassination of JFK.

Here, you need to be as devious as Old Gus. It's all about triple-crossing everyone. The CIA ain't going to tell you the truth. The reality though is that JFK wanted a rapprochement with the USSR, and was not allowed to. He got shot. Trump is more pragmatic. He knows that if a gun is pointed at you, you sing a different tune and dance.

I will reiterate my (possibly erroneous?) view here that JFK was shot under deep state orders to the CIA and "white Russians" plus a media with a general anti-Russian sentiment, preventing JFK and Russia kissing each other. Lee Harvey Oswald would have been told he was "protected", but the system does not leave loose ends. The system used a guy who was "possibly already sick with terminal cancer", to kill Lee Harvey Oswald...

For historians, Oswald’s trip to Mexico has never been adequately explained. Available records shows that the CIA and FBI knew much more about it – and the threat Oswald posed – than they ever shared with the Warren Commission. The agencies appear to have withheld evidence out of fear they might be blamed for bungling intelligence that could have saved Kennedy’s life.

Oswald, a Marine Corps veteran and self-declared Marxist who had once tried to defect to the Soviet Union, met in Mexico with Cuban and Soviet diplomats and spies and, according to a long-secret FBI report, talked openly about his plan to kill Kennedy.

Given Trump’s deadline next week – a deadline he set himself – to release thousands of still-classified documents related to the assassination held by the National Archives, the Thomas family says questions about their family tragedy are urgent once again.

Many of those documents are known to have come out of the files of the CIA station in Mexico at about the time of Oswald’s visit, which suggests they could bolster Thomas’s suspicions about what happened there.

In an interview, Thomas’s youngest daughter, Zelda Thomas-Curti, a Minneapolis business consultant who was born in Mexico, described her father as “one of America’s most important – if mostly unrecognized – 20th-century government whistleblowers”.

the magic bullet...

Fifty-five years ago, on November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Although there has been a great deal written about this event over the years, I want to draw attention to one exceptionally important article, originally delivered as a talk on November 20, 1998. Vincent Salandria gave this talk in Dallas at the invitation of the Coalition on Political Assassinations. (See Sources.)

Salandria had been a high school teacher at the time of the assassination (he later became a lawyer) and was one of the first people in the US to write essays expressing dissent from the government narrative of lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald, maverick leftist.

In his 1998 talk Salandria went through over a dozen of the famous obstacles to the government story—the grassy knoll witnesses, the “magic bullet,” the testimony of the doctors at Parkland Hospital, and so on—but he did not let himself get sidetracked into detailed debates on any of these. By 1998 he had already seen, and participated in, 35 years of such debates. He had long ago concluded that, “the national security state at the very highest level of its power killed President John F. Kennedy for his efforts at seeking to develop a modus vivendi with the Soviets and with socialist Cuba.”
