teaching BS to non existent students of devious politics....US President Joe Biden faced fresh criticism on Friday for claiming to have taught at the University of Pennsylvania. While the school paid him almost $1 million over three years for a bespoke position, there is no record of him actually teaching a class. “I taught at the University of Pennsylvania for four years and I used to teach political theory. And folks, you always hear, every generation has to fight for Democracy,” Biden said on Thursday, in a meandering speech at the Prince George Community College in Maryland. “Biden was paid $1 million, but he never taught a single class,” the Republican National Committee said in response. UPenn hired Biden in 2017, after he left the White House as Barack Obama’s vice president. Records published by the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2019 showed Biden getting paid $371,159 in 2017 and $540,484 in 2018 for “a vaguely defined role that involved no regular classes and around a dozen public appearances on campus.” The average salary for a professor at UPenn for the 2017-18 academic year was $217,411, the Inquirer noted. Biden’s official title was the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Professor of Practice, the first – and only – person to ever hold that post. The failed Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush was also employed as a non-Franklin “presidential professor of practice,” from 2018 to 2020. According to the UPenn student newspaper, Biden appeared at three question-and-answer sessions with the university president, panels discussing immigration and cancer, a talk about his book, a lecture at the Wharton school of business, and public appearances with former Mexican president Felipe Calderon and former British deputy PM, and now president of global affairs at Facebook, Nick Clegg. While Biden has a long history of mis-speaking and embellishing his biography, his UPenn claim was one of many gaffes just this week, starting with a rocky press conference in Vietnam. “The president has lied about being at ground zero the day after the September 11 attacks, falsely claimed he saw the Pittsburgh bridge collapse, claimed his grandfather died in the hospital days before his birth. What is going on with the president? Is he just believing things that didn’t happen did happen, or is he just randomly making stuff up?” Washington Times reporter Jeff Mordock asked at the White House briefing on Wednesday. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby dodged the question, however. Currently 80, Biden is the oldest man ever to be sworn in as a US president. On Wednesday, both the New York Times and the Washington Post published opinion pieces arguing that he is too old to run for re-election in 2024.

teaching nazism.....
The CIA revives Ukrainian Nazism
by Thierry Meyssan
It’s not surprising that the CIA structures anti-Russian organizations. It is, however, surprising that it doesn’t hesitate to choose Nazis and mainstream nationalists ostensibly to defend freedom and democracy.
In the 19th century, the German and Austro-Hungarian Empires planned to destroy their rival, the Russian Empire. To this end, the German and Austro-Hungarian foreign ministries launched a joint secret operation: the creation of the League of Allogenic Peoples of Russia (Liga der Fremdvölker Rußlands - LFR) [1].
In 1943, the Third Reich created the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations (ABN) to break up the Soviet Union. At the end of the Second World War, the United Kingdom and the United States took back the Nazis and their collaborators and maintained the ABN [2]. However, in view of the millions of deaths it had caused, Frank Wisner, the CIA’s Number 2, rewrote its history. He printed a number of booklets claiming that the ABN had been created at the Liberation. He claimed that the peoples of Central Europe and the Baltic had all, collectively, fought against both the Nazis and the Soviets. This is an enormous lie. In reality, many Central European political parties sided with the Nazis against the Soviets, forming SS divisions and providing almost all the guards for Nazi extermination camps.
John Loftus, Special Prosecutor for the Office of Special Investigations, a unit of the U.S. Department of Justice, testified that in 1980 he found a small town in New Jersey, South River, to be home to a colony of former Byelorussian SS. At the entrance to the town, a war memorial, adorned with SS symbols, celebrated their fallen comrades, while a separate cemetery housed the grave of Belarusian Nazi Prime Minister Radoslav Ostrovski [3].
It is often believed that the United States fought the Nazis and tried them at Nuremberg and Tokyo. But this is not true. If President Roosevelt was a staunch liberal, he thought it possible to recruit traitors and put them to work for him. However, as he died before the end of the conflict, the criminals he surrounded himself with rose to the highest offices. They hijacked certain administrations to further their aims. This is what happened with the CIA.
The efforts of Congress with the Church Commission, which revealed the CIA’s crimes in the 50s and 60s, were to no avail. The whole opaque world went back underground, but did not cease its activities.
The Ukrainian "integral nationalists" of Dmytro Dontsov and his henchmen Stepan Bandera and Yaroslav Stetsko followed this path. The former, who was already a secret agent for Kaiser Wilhelm II and later for Führer Adolf Hitler, was picked up by the CIA, lived in Canada and died in 1973 in South River, New Jersey, contrary to his Wikipedia entry. He was one of the Reich’s worst mass criminals. He disappeared from the Ukraine during the war and became administrator of the Reinard Heydrich Institute in Prague. He was one of the architects of the Final Solution of the Gypsy and Jewish question [4].
His henchmen, Stepan Bandera and Yaroslav Stetsko, were hired by the CIA in Munich. They provided Ukrainian-language broadcasts for Radio Free Europe and organized sabotage operations in the Soviet Union. Stepan Bandera had perpetrated numerous massacres and proclaimed Ukrainian independence with the Nazis. However, he too had disappeared from Ukraine during the war. He claimed to have been imprisoned in "honourable captivity" in an extermination camp. This is unlikely, since he resurfaced in 1944 and was entrusted by the Reich to govern the Ukraine and fight the Soviets. It is possible that he lived at the camp administration headquarters in Oranienburg-Sachsenhausen, where he worked on the Nazi project to exterminate the "races" that were supposed to corrupt the Aryans. During the Cold War, he roamed the "free world" and came to Canada to propose to Dmytro Dontsov that he become the head of his organization [5].
Time passed, these mass criminals died without ever having been held to account. Their organizations, the OUN and ABN, should also have disappeared. They did not. The OUN was reconstituted during the war in Ukraine. So has the ABN. It now has a website. Here you can read post-war propaganda booklets claiming that the organization never existed before the fall of the Reich. The ABN continues today with the "Free Nations PostRussia Forum", to be held on September 26-27-28 in London, Paris and possibly Strasbourg. Its aim remains the same: to break up the Russian Federation into 41 separate states. There can be no doubt as to the origins of this forum: while it claims to speak for the peoples of Russia, it not only accuses Moscow, but also attacks the People’s Republic of China, North Korea and Iran. Its documents also touch on Venezuela, Belarus and Syria. However, the ABN participated in the creation and animation of the World Anti-Communist League [6], where most of the world’s dictators met, now elegantly named the World League for Freedom and Democracy.
This Post-Russia Forum of Free Nations was created by the CIA in response to Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine. In a year and a half, it has already met 7 times, in Poland, the Czech Republic, the USA, Sweden and the European and Japanese Parliaments. At the same time, the CIA has created governments-in-exile for Belarus and Tatarstan, just as it did for Iraq and Syria. No one has yet recognized them, but the European Union has already received them with deference. These governments-in-exile are in addition to the long-standing government-in-exile in Itchkeria (Chechnya).
The current system is not designed to achieve its stated aim. The United States has no intention of breaking up the Russian Federation, a nuclear power. Most of their leaders are aware that such an event would completely destabilize international relations and could trigger a Nuclear War. No, it’s more a question of mobilizing people in the service of the United States who hope to achieve the improbable goal of dissecting Russia.
A number of political personalities play this game. Such is the case of the former Polish Foreign Minister, Anna Fotyga. In 2016, she presented the European Parliament with a resolution on the European Union’s strategic communications. She had devised a system for influencing all the Union’s major media outlets, which proved effective. Or a French centrist MP, Frederick Petit. Back in 2014, his party’s poster boys (François Bayrou and Mireille de Sarnez) went to Kiev’s Maïdan Square to be photographed alongside the "integral nationalists". I won’t even mention former Russian MP Ilya Ponomarev.
Think-tanks too, like the Jamestown Foundation. It was founded with the help of CIA director William J. Casey, on the occasion of a high-profile defector from the USSR. It was banned in Russia in 2020 (i.e., before the war in Ukraine), because it was already printing material on the break-up of Russia. Finally, the Hudson Institute is funded by Taiwan through its agency, the World League for Freedom and Democracy (formerly the World Anti-Communist League). This enabled it to host a session of the Post-Russia Forum of Free Nations.

delusional.....
By Patrick Lawrence / Original to ScheerPost
Remember that startling remark Karl Rove made while serving as an adviser to George W. Bush? It was October 2004, the so-called war on terror was going full tilt, and Rove was talking to the journalist Ron Suskind. Suskind was writing a piece for The New York Times Sunday Magazine about the habit among Bush and his people to dismiss inconvenient facts. He described a conflict between “pragmatists and true believers, reason and religion.”
Rove, who Suskind identified only as “the aide,” could scarcely have been pithier as he expressed the Bush administration’s grandiosity and its contempt for “what we call the reality-based community”—which, Rove told Suskind, referred to “people who ‘believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.’” He, Rove, went on to explain matters this way:
We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study, too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”
These remarks have made it into various history texts, and they earn their place in all of them. Who, at the time, was not floored by Rove’s extraordinarily bizarre boasts? I found them ominous, a frank intimation that the attacks of September 11, 2001, had induced a real, live, properly defined case of psychosis among those then governing America. Democrats ran miles with the comments Suskind, with great skill, pulled out of Rove.
Oddly enough, one of those Suskind cast as a voice of reason at this time was Joe Biden, then a senator from Delaware. Actually, it was Biden who cast Biden as a voice of reason: “I was in the Oval Office,” Suskind quotes him as saying, “and I was telling the president of my many concerns”—these as related to the invasion of Iraq the previous year. We cannot, things being as they are, be at all certain Biden countered Bush’s departures from reality in any such voice or was, indeed, even in the Oval Office when he said he was. Biden’s voice, after all, was among the loudest on Capitol Hill in support of the March 2003 invasion.
But he is in the Oval Office now, and we find among Biden and his people, and in the Democratic Party elite altogether—not to mention the liberal media—the same case of psychosis that so alarmed people 19 years ago, if we define this term as a severed relationship with reality.
We are talking here about denial, psychotic denial, and denials of this kind often, maybe almost always, come with heavy costs. The Bush administration’s denials of reality resulted in … what? … a million-plus deaths, millions more displaced persons, and more than $6 trillion (the Cost of War Project’s count) wastefully spent. These are among the realities created by those for whom Rove spoke.
The Biden administration has a pointlessly destructive war to answer for, too, although it is a stretch to assume any American president in recent memory has answered for the disasters his denials of reality have wrought. But we now witness a case of denial Biden and the Democratic elite are going to pay for dearly. I refer to their headlong rush toward failure in the 2024 election. There is only one way to describe the irrationality of the Democrats’ determination—determination to date, I must add—to support the thought of a second term for Biden. I read in it the same presumption Rove so well expressed: They think they can create reality and this reality will trump, if you will, “discernible reality,” to borrow Rove’s phrase.
Biden’s polling numbers are not short of disastrous at this point, even among registered Democrats. His approval rate hovers at 40 percent or so in all polls; in some surveys the percentage of those who “disapprove” of the president is north of 60 percent. Three quarters of registered voters think he is too old to run for a second term. A CNN poll published two weeks ago found that 46 percent of registered voters would prefer any Republican candidate to Biden.
Organized labor does not trust “union Joe,” as reports this week from the United Auto Workers’ picket lines indicate. Poverty levels, including child poverty, are rising swiftly, as is credit-card debt. Inflation, although down from its peak, has chewed up what wage gains working class Americans have achieved since Biden came to office, and the official inflation rate is a chisel in any case, as it does not include energy and food costs. The administration is doing absolutely nothing as private equity firms buy houses—neighborhoods, indeed—at a rate that is destroying communities and provoking a housing crisis that starts to look like the early 1930s.
Last week the House began an impeachment inquiry into a “culture of corruption”—Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s phrase—that to a majority of Americans is sky-is-blue obvious. The Justice Department—widely understood to be going after Trump for political advantage—is now considering imposing a gag order on Biden’s likely opponent next year. Vice–President Kamala Harris—whose polls are worse than Biden’s—reminded us in an interview with The Associated Press two weeks ago that, as all vice-presidents are obliged to consider, she “may have to take over” from Biden.
What we hear from the administration and the media are straight-out denials on all of these matters. The polling numbers do not reflect reality. No one cares much about Biden’s corruption or the impeachment proceedings. MAGA, a White House official asserted last week, “is widely unpopular.” Kamala Harris will remain a heartbeat away for another four years, and this is as it should be. In the case of the economy, officials and liberal pundits do what they always do to make things look good: They resort to statistics and wonder why Americans aren’t happy.
This in pencil-sketch is what I mean by the Democrats’ collective psychosis. They are, in effect, attempting to create their own reality while assuming they can sell it to enough voters to keep Biden in the White House.
Some readers suggest in the comment threads to these commentaries that this isn’t, after all, a case of denial so much as crafty political calculation. It only looks as if the Democratic establishment overinvested in the burbling Biden in 2020 and is now throwing good money after bad. In this argument, Biden is soon to have “his LBJ moment”—a reference to that cold evening in March 1968 (how well I recall it) when Lyndon Johnson shocked the country by announcing he would not seek the presidency that autumn. Biden steps aside, and Kamala Harris breaks all kinds of glass ceilings as she is elected No. 47: This is the story line.
I do not see this. Kamala Harris is a liberal deplorable too far. Threaten Americans with a Harris presidency and Republicans could run Donald Trump’s masseuse and win. Democrats simply cannot be this far out of touch with reality. But I had better be careful: I could be wrong and they are.
The thing I find especially strange about the long runup to November 5, 2024, is that the outcome is nearly unimaginable no matter which way you rotate the mirrored ball. I do not see how the Democrats can win unless Biden steps aside and takes Harris with him, and this seems a political impossibility. Ready or not, here’s my take: Democratic denialism is well on the way to making Trump the strongest candidate in the field. But then we have to wonder how far the liberal authoritarians will go to prevent any such outcome. My guess is a very long way.
Democrats are not the first to lose track of reality, or to presume they can create their own. The Bush II people weren’t, either. Karl Rove simply described it in welcomely honest terms. What I am calling a collective psychosis has a long history among American leaders and in American politics. This syndrome has already destroyed American foreign policy, not to mention the very many who have endured it. In our time the casualties are to be closer to home.
TO MY READERS. Independent publications and those who write for them reach a moment that is difficult and full of promise all at once. On one hand, we assume ever greater responsibilities in the face of mainstream media’s mounting derelictions. I take up this very topic in the commentary you have just read. On the other, we have found no sustaining revenue model and so must turn directly to our readers for support. I am committed to independent journalism for the duration: I see no other future for American media. But the path grows steeper, and as it does I need your help. This grows urgent now. If you are already a supporter, big thanks. If you aren’t, please, to sustain my continued contributions to ScheerPost and in recognition of the commitment to independent journalism I share with this superb publication, join in by subscribing to The Floutist, or via my Patreon account.

joe's bluff....
BY Eric Zuesse (blogs at https://theduran.com/author/eric-zuesse/)
On September 22nd, Politico bannered “Katherine Clark names the Democrats’ price to save Kevin McCarthy” and reported that the White House’s (Biden’s) list of the three demands in order for there not to be a shut-down of the U.S. Government, include that “we want them [congressional Republicans] to end this sham of an impeachment inquiry.”That’s quoting from House Democratic Whip, Representative (Massachusetts) Katherine Clark, who carries President Biden’s instructions to the U.S. House in order to get it to pass bills that the President will then sign into law (or otherwise he won’t). Republicans right now are investigating the evidence that when Vice President, Biden had received a $5 million bribe from the Ukrainian gas exploration company Burisma for the U.S. Government to force Ukraine’s government to fire its investigator into that company, which company had just placed Biden’s son Hunter Biden onto its board in order to get to bribe both Hunter and Joe to get that investigator fired by Ukraine’s government. Most of the evidence in the case comes from Hunter’s laptop computer, which Hunter had abandoned at a repair shop and never picked up, and which U.S. media (except for the Republican Party’s N.Y. Post) had pretended to be mere ‘Russian disinformation’, not authentic.
Does the President ever bluff the Congress? Yes, at least in recent times it has happened: Trump did it, and then Biden did. Lying by U.S. Presidents is now normal, even if it hadn’t been (or hadn’t so much been) previously. However, for a U.S. President to threaten a U.S. Government shut-down over a personal matter (such as that impeachment investigation into him) would probably establish a new low in ethics for the U.S. Government.
The Government shut-down deadline is currently set for Friday, September 30th. Conceivably, Biden, given a choice between either House Republicans making public yet previously undisclosed evidence that he had sold-out his public office for this or some other bribe, or else their sending to his desk a bill that complies with all three of his demands and which he then will sign into law and thus prevent such a shut-down, might make a choice; or else, there might be instead yet another Continuing Resolution (“CR”) to kick this can still farther down the road, into, perhaps some wilderness that will be hidden from the public, and which the public will only be guessing about.

Investigative historian Eric Zuesse’s new book, AMERICA’S EMPIRE OF EVIL: Hitler’s Posthumous Victory, and Why the Social Sciences Need to Change, is about how America took over the world after World War II in order to enslave it to U.S.-and-allied billionaires. Their cartels extract the world’s wealth by control of not only their ‘news’ media but the social ‘sciences’ — duping the public.
