good terrorists and bad terrorists....

On October 7, Israel was attacked by Hamas, an armed Palestinian resistance group inside Gaza. The group killed 1,405 people, and kidnapped over 200 in Israel.

Hamas was a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, a global terrorist organization which is outlawed in many countries, but not in the US, UK or Germany.

US President Donald Trump said that the Muslim Brotherhood should be designated a terrorist organization in the US, and Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, brought two bills to the Senate, but he did not have support because of the Democrats under pressure from President Joe Biden. Why would the US fight terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq, while supporting a global terrorist network?

The answer is, that the US uses terrorist groups when it is in their interest. Military experts explain that you need fighters for a war, and if you can’t get a Congressional order to send US troops to a battlefield, then you use what assets you have on the ground.

The US utilized the Muslim Brotherhood fighters in Syria, and partnered with the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt to rig the election which brought Mohamed Mursi to power. This is why the US will never outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood in the US; because they are useful.

However, in Gaza the Muslim Brotherhood are not useful to US-Israeli interests, so they must be eradicated.

Syria regime change

US President Barack Obama developed and engineered a plan for regime change in Syria. The plan was put into motion in March 2011 when armed men, masquerading as peaceful protesters, began a gun fight with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Deraa.  The Al Omari Mosque in Deraa was used as a weapons storehouse by militants who has smuggled arms from the US military base in Jordan.  The US military had excess weapons confiscated in the US-NATO attack on Libya, which had been allocated to the terrorists in Syria by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Obama was sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood and had ties to them, though he was not a member. The closest assistant to Obama’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was Huma Abedin, who was from a family with high-ranking ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama knew that he couldn’t get backing for US troops to invade Syria to overthrow the Assad government, so he turned to his associates across the US, the Muslim Brotherhood, who organized the “Free Syrian Army”(FSA) from Muslim Brotherhood members and sympathizers in Syria and Turkey.  Once the force was formed with commanders who had defected from the SAA, then the Obama administration began their work supporting the FSA with weapons, cash for paychecks, supplies and training through the covert CIA program “Timber Sycamore”, which was finally shut down in 2017 by President Donald Trump.

Senator John McCain

Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, and former veteran of the Vietnam war, became the biggest supporter of the FSA, and lobbied Congress successfully for the armed group to receive additional weapons including anti-tank missiles, TOW.

McCain became so enamored of the FSA, he made an illegal trip into Idlib, Syria to meet with their general, Selim Idriss, and to sit with their commanders. McCain came under fire once his travel photos were posted by his office online, because one of the men he posed with was identified by kidnap victims as their captor in a highly publicized case when the FSA had kidnapped a large bus load of travelers on a religious pilgrimage.

McCain’s illegal trip to Syria flew in the face of McCain’s anger at Mexican migrants illegally crossing the border into America. McCain entered Syria illegally, without any visa, exactly mirroring the Mexican migrants.

A Syrian Christian citizen of the US had been videoed confronting McCain publicly when she told him the FSA were slaughtering Christians in Syria, and they were not the ‘freedom fighters’ he proclaimed them to be.  In 2014, the FSA attacked and killed the Armenian Christians at Kessab, Syria on the Turkish border. The quaint village has never recovered, and was reduced to a near ghost town.

The Free Syrian Army

The US military advisors had warned that the weapons the US was sending to the FSA in Syria could potentially end up in the hands of Al Qaeda. That is exactly what happened.  The FSA proved to be a very weak, and ineffective fighting force against the SAA, which was a national army conscripted from every male over 18 in Syria who is not enrolled in a university.

The FSA lost battle after battle, until they put out a call to their brothers-in-arms, Al Qaeda, who immediately came pouring in the country from Turkey, which was a transit point for international terrorists on their way to fight jihad in Syria.

Obama’s goal was to replace President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus with a malleable Muslim Brotherhood politician, like what Obama had accomplished successfully in Egypt with the US rigged election that put Mohamed Mursi in office, who was a Muslim Brotherhood card-carrying member.

Obama was faced with a dilemma once his FSA had morphed into Al Qaeda. How could he continue to support them through Congressional approval? He got around that predicament by continuing to call them FSA, even though that group no longer existed.

Idlib under the Muslim Brotherhood

The final ‘rebel’ held territory in Syria is Idlib, a small province sandwiched between Latakia and Aleppo, and whose only resource is olive trees and agriculture.  But, it sits strategically on the Turkish border, and Turkey continues to support and defend the terrorists in Idlib. Turkey is ruled by President Erdogan of the AKP party, and they are aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Idlib is controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, under the command of Mohamed al-Julani, who is a Syrian that fought against the US in Iraq with Al Qaeda, and an associate of ISIS leader Mustapha Baghdadi. The plan was for Julani to leave Iraq, go to Syria and set up an ISIS branch there, but instead Julani set up his own terrorist group in Syria, Jabhat al-Nusra, which became the Al Qaeda affiliate in Syria.  Their extreme brutal tactics in Syria against civilians got them listed as an outlawed terrorist group, and this created a dilemma for the US. How could they continue to fund and support a terrorist group? The Obama administration simply re-branded the group as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. A simple name change kept the funding, defense and support for the terrorists flowing from Washington, DC through their ally Turkey.

Every humanitarian truck passing from Turkey to Idlib is unloaded, warehoused and distributed by the terrorists.  Julani built a large and modern shopping center, Al Hamra, in Idlib which sells the excess humanitarian aid from the UN and other international aid organizations which was withheld from civilians because they are not aligned with Julani and his terrorist group.  If you complain about the fact Julani and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham refuse to allow women and girls to participate in education programs offered by international aid groups, you will be off the list of receiving aid, and be forced to buy the basic items you need with US dollars.

Julani became a star when he took off his war clothes, and wore an Italian silk suit and tie. The occasion was a high-level American media interview, in which Washington was trying to sell the western audience on supporting Julani, while he held 3 million civilians in Idlib as human shields.

The world is watching Gaza, and the contrasts between Gaza and Idlib are striking. In Gaza the US has an aircraft carrier and war ships offshore to support the Israeli Defense Forces, and in Idlib the Biden Administration is supporting the terrorists who hold 3 million civilians hostage.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Hamas has practically lost control of northern Gaza. He added that once the war ends, his country will maintain “security” oversight to ensure that no new authority educates its children to “hate Israel.”

“There is no substitute for victory. We will eliminate Hamas and save our hostages,” Netanyahu said in a Saturday night press conference in Tel Aviv. “The IDF has completed the encirclement of Gaza City. They are on the outskirts of Shifa Hospital and have killed a lot of terrorists.”

“Hamas has lost control in the north of the Gaza Strip,” he claimed. “They have no safe place to hide. Until the last of the terrorists, all of Hamas, are dead.”

“We will not stop until the mission is completed,” the Israeli leader stated, reassuring the families of the fallen Israeli soldiers that “we are doing everything to be worthy of their sacrifice and heroism.”

Netanyahu unveiled his long-term plan for Gaza on Thursday, saying Israel would ensure that the territory no longer poses a threat. “What we have to see is Gaza demilitarized, deradicalized and rebuilt,” he said, adding, “We don’t seek to conquer Gaza. We don’t seek to occupy Gaza. And we don’t seek to govern Gaza.”

The prime minister explained that no matter who governs Gaza after the war, Israel will need to establish a force that can “enter Gaza and kill the killers” at any time, to “prevent the emergence of another Hamas-like entity.” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also said that Israeli forces will establish a “new security reality” in the area, but stressed that the IDF will not be responsible for “day-to-day life in the Gaza Strip.”

On Saturday, Netanyahu dismissed the possibility of the Palestinian Authority taking control of Gaza after the war, insisting that there “will not be a civil authority there that educates their children to hate Israel, to kill Israelis, or to eliminate Israel.”

“There cannot be an authority who didn’t condemn the massacre. There will have to be something else, but in any case our security control. I stand by it and don’t intend to give up,” he said.

Israel launched an unprecedented military bombardment of the densely-populated Gaza enclave in retaliation for Hamas’ assault on its territory last month. Israeli officials said on Friday that around 1,200 of its citizens – mostly civilians – died in the attack, revising down prior estimates.

Over 11,000 people have died in more than four weeks of artillery and airstrikes in Gaza, Palestinian health officials have said, adding that around 40% of them are children.

unprovoked?.....

A rude awakening: Israel’s occupation shaken to the core    By Jafar Ramini

In the early hours of that fateful morning, October 7th 2023, the silence was broken by a wake-up call like no other. A group of Palestinian freedom fighters, young men who had never known anything but occupation, siege, and subjugation shook the Israeli Occupation foundations to the core. Like birds of prey, those fighters flew on their motorcycles over the electronic steel fence, breached that same fence on their jeeps and attacked the illegal settlements on the periphery of the besieged Gaza Strip. They killed 1400 people and captured over 200 others. The casualties were a mixture of Israeli soldiers, reservists and, of course, civilians. And the cry for Freedom and basic human dignity reverberated across the land.

Western governments and western media echoed the Israeli cry that this was an unprovoked barbaric attack. Any sane person might think that 75 years of occupation, land theft, displacement, murder, incarceration without charge, torture and cold blooded assassinations would be provocation enough. But, it seems we are going through an insane period at this moment in time. So, no I will not condemn this desperate cry for help, nor will I condemn Hamas for carrying it out.

There was a moment of sanity ten years ago when the then President of the United States of America, Mr Barack Obama, said, while addressing Israeli university students.

“Put yourselves in their shoes. Look at the world through their eyes. It is not fair that a Palestinian child cannot grow up in a state of their own, living their entire lives with the presence of a foreign army that controls the movements, not just of those young people but their parents, their grandparents, every single day—it’s not just when settler violence against Palestinians goes unpunished or displaces Palestinian families from their homes. Neither occupation nor expulsion is the answer.”

Yet, the mere idea that we are afforded the sobriquet of ‘humans’ offends the occupiers of our land. Gideon Levy, renowned Israeli journalist, pointed out that this view of the Palestinians as ‘not human like us’ is widespread. “if you rub any Israeli you’ll find that most believe that we are are the ‘chosen people’ and can do whatever we like to whoever we like.” They have been doing it to us for 75 years and continue to do so with the tacit approval, so as not to say, encouragement of the ‘civilised’ world.

As for Mr Obama’s warning of the use of ’Occupation and expulsion’ this is exactly what Mr Netanyahu and his war cabinet are calling for.

Why Not? According to the current Israeli Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, “Palestinians, are nothing but ‘ human animals’, and should be eradicated.”

Another government minister, Amichai Eliyahu, not satisfied with a death toll of 11078 Palestinians, 4506 of which were children and 3027 were women, and has said that that the nuclear option would be “one way” to deal with Gaza, proving once and for all that not only is Israel in possession of nuclear weapons – something the country has never admitted – but is also willing to use them. The settlers, that Mr Obama also mentioned, have been on the rampage in the West Bank for the last five weeks, aided and abetted by the Israeli Occupation Forces that wreaked havoc in Jenin, my place of birth, Tulkarim and Hebron. The bitter harvest of this is also 200 Palestinians killed, mostly young men.

But, despite this, if you listen to any western politician, diplomat or pundit, the cry is ‘Israel has a right to defend itself.’ Never should it cross their minds, let alone their lips, that we, the Palestinians have rights as well.

Yitzhak Shamir, former zionist terrorist and perpetrator of the massacres of the Palestinian village of Deir Yassin and the Jerusalem headquarters of the British Army, the King David Hotel, who became Prime Minister of Israel, said that his main aim in life was to break the back of the Palestinian resistance. Shimon Peres, the godfather of Israel’s nuclear programme and former Israeli President, once said that he wished that the sea would swallow Gaza.

If these are not enough, let me remind you further of the level of callousness and inhumanity of Israeli leaders since the very inception of the state. Mrs Golda Meir once said. “We will never forgive the Arabs for forcing us to kill their children”. Stop for a moment. Close your eyes and let this blood curdling thought hang in the air. Just as an addendum, Moshe Fieglin, former Deputy Speaker of the Knesset has said that there are no civilians in Gaza. All are combatants and should be pushed into the Sinai Desert. He repeated the call for genocide only last week.

As for the danger of ‘expulsion’ that Mr Obama spoke of, this is exactly what the Israelis have been planning all along. To empty Gaza of its Palestinian inhabitants and push them into ‘tent cities’ in the Sinai desert. ‘Tent cities’. When Egypt resisted this obvious ethnic cleansing, despite inducement and financial bribery, Israeli war planes bombarded Gaza with leaflets, ordering the people to move down south. When they did, they were bombed. Relentlessly. Not only down south, but in the ‘safe corridor’ that was apparently provided for them. Men, women, children, ambulances, hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, UN facilities. Nothing is safe in Gaza. Yet Mr Netanyahu, while addressing foreign diplomats in Jerusalem, said “we are attacking the barbarians to protect you”.

The United Nations’ Secretary General, Mr Antonio Guterres, said that what happened on October 7th did not come from a vacuum. He was jumped upon, called names and the Israelis demanded his resignation. Mr Guterres was not to be deterred. A few days ago he described the situation in Gaza as becoming ‘a graveyard for children’. “It is more, “ he said “ than a humanitarian crisis. It is a crisis of humanity.”

Where is humanity through all of this? Are we not deserving of attention, let alone compassion? As the ordinary people of the western world fill their streets with demonstrations for Palestine, government after western government call our cry for help ‘an act of terror’ and stand by Israel. Not only in words but in deeds. The Home Secretary of Britain, Suella Braverman, accused the British police of double standards and bias towards pro-Palestine protesters. She wants to ban them and she called them ‘hate speech’. It’s a similar story in France and Germany. Don’t you sometimes wonder what happened to the freedom of speech in our much hallowed democracies? Those same leaders have despatched armadas to the eastern Mediterranean, including nuclear submarines. They despatched special forces to aid Israel in its genocide in Palestine. They used the Security Council to stop the call for ‘cease fire’ and supplemented it with ‘a pause’. A pause? Are we watching a movie and we need to pause for a cup of tea and then resume unabated? In the United States in particular, politicians like Nikki Hayley and Lindsey Graham are egging Israel on. “Finish the job”, Ms Hayley says.

“Flatten Gaza,” Lindsey Graham says.

During a speech in support of a ceasefire, Democratic representative Angie Nixon said, “We are at 10,000 dead Palestinians. How many will be enough?”

Michelle Salzman, Republican state representative from Florida called out, “all of them”.

The newly elected leader of the house, Mike Johnson, was not to be denied his piece of this toxic pie. “The First bill will be in support of our dear friend, Israel. We are going to show Israel – and the entire world that the barbarism of Hamas..is wretched and wrong and we are going to stand for the good in that conflict.”

Mr. Netanyahu, in one of his fiery speeches aimed at the US Congress, compared this attack against Israel with the American horror of 9/11, threatening the people of Gaza with fire and brimstone. He fulfilled that threat. The fire power that Israel has inflicted upon Gaza over the last five weeks, in full view of the world, is disproportionate to an astounding degree. Immense, almost unbelievable.

After all the above, and believe me there is much more, what are the Palestinians to do? Lie down, accept their lot ? Or lie down and die?

Haven’t the leaders of the so-called civilised world learned yet that brute force and disregard of ‘the other’ will not work?

It would seem not.

Republican front runner, Mr Donald Trump, threatening what he calls ‘the enemies of America’ had this to say, in his latest ad campaign for the Presidency.

“History shows very plainly that evil only respects one thing. Unyielding strength. If you spill one drop of American blood we will spill a gallon of yours.”

Are we witnessing Armageddon?
