afraid of, yet embracing, the old german angry love ideals....

THE WESTERN WORLD (OLD EUROPE AND AMERICA) IS IN A FLUX WHILE TRYING TO PRESERVE ITS PERCEIVED HEGEMONY OVER THE REST OF THE WORLD. THE END OF EMPIRES IS NEVER PRETTY. NEW DECEPTIONS WITH SLOGANS SUCH AS "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" AND THE VISCERAL EUROPEAN HATRED OF RUSSIA — AKIN TO ANTI-SEMITISM GOING BACK TO THE DAYS OF MARTIN LUTHER — ARE USED TO MASK THE GREATER DESIRE TO OWN AND CONTROL THE HUMAN PLANET...

PRESENTLY, THE STICK IS IN THE HAND OF THE FORMIDABLE ENGLISH SPEAKING MIND, WITH LITTLE PHILOSOPHICAL REFLECTION AND PLENTY OF LATENT AMERICAN AGGRESSION, HELPED BY THE ZIONISTS...

WE MUST REMEMBER THAT WORLD WAR ONE WAS AN ENGLISH SET UP, DRIVEN BY THE IDEALS OF A CRUMBLING EMPIRE AND THE DESIRE TO ELIMINATE COMPETITORS SUCH AS THE GERMANS, WHOSE INDUSTRIES WERE OUTPACING THOSE OF ENGLAND. FAKE FLAG EVENTS WERE INVENTED. EVILNESS WAS AND IS ALWAYS ATTRIBUTED TO OTHERS.

PUBLISHED DURING WORLD WAR ONE, THE BOOK BY Friedrich Lienhard INSPIRED A GERMANIC MOMENTUM THAT, EVEN AFTER GERMANY'S DEFEAT IN 1918, CONTINUED TILL WORLD WAR TWO AND BEYOND. THE CHEAP RUSSIAN GAS THAT HELP MAINTAIN THE GERMAN ECONOMIC MIRACLE WAS ALSO ALLIED WITH A POST-WW2 CONTROLLING AMERICA (CONTINUED TO THIS DAY) THAT HAS DONE MANY DEEDS TO DESTROY RUSSIA SINCE 1917.

TRUMP WANTS PEACE TO PREVENT A DEFEAT OF UKRAINE, NOT BECAUSE HE LOVES PEACE.

HISTORY DOES NOT STOP... BUT IT IS A FAULTY RECORD, A DIGEST OF ACCEPTED BELIEFS OF WHO DID WHAT, WHILE THE FLOORBOARDS, THE CAVEATS AND THE UNDERLAY ARE BARELY SEEN.

INFORMATION IS CRITICAL, YET OUR PROPAGANDA MACHINES, THE WESTERN MEDIA, ARE OMMITTING THE TRUE ENGINES OF OUR DECEIT, WHILE PRESENTING OUR POSTURE AS THE PUREST AND NOBLE OF INTENTS... ALL THIS MAKES OUR DEMOCRATIC IDEALS WALK THROUGH THE THICKEST OF DEEP STINKING MUD...

NEUTRALITY MIGHT BE THE ONLY SAFE SOLID GROUND... BUT THE EMPIRE HAS ITS SINGING SIRENS WHO TUG US DOWN INTO THE WARM SMELLY SLOSH AS IF IT WAS A GOAT'S MILK BATH FIT FOR A QUEEN...

THE FOLLOWING EXTRACTS FROM "DEUTSCHLANDS EUROPAISCHE SENDUNG" BY Friedrich Lienhard...:

TRANSLATION BY GUNTER FUSHMULLER.

The author of the following war thoughts has often expressed the wish poetically and literary: a German imperial soul must be created for the German imperial body.

We were prepared for the European war; it was preordained in the spiritual atmosphere. The tensions between the nations were bound to reach the point where they would erupt.

We are now experiencing this powerful event. The war is the European purging storm. France's proud spiritual reason: to restore its military glory, destroyed in 1870; England's less proud reason: to subdue its commercial rival on land and sea, enterprising Germany; Russia's attempt to fulfil its Pan-Slavic dream in defiance of Austrian interests: all this had long been circling the political horizon. Now it has erupted openly. And the battles will determine what the European map will look like from now on.

Much has been written about these things. I am troubled by other concerns. These anxious thoughts were recently expressed in a letter from the field post. How will Germany grasp its spiritual mission after the hopefully anticipated victory? Will we have a different atmosphere, rejuvenated hearts, renewed people? For our soldiers are not merely fighting for the material survival of their German goods; deep within their hearts, there also lives an ideal concept of the German homeland. This is the secret, mostly unconscious, but most effective source of strength. Even in our scientific age, one ultimately fights not for things in themselves, but for ideas that work in and behind things. This is what makes Germany so young; it gives it this unanimous impetus: we are fighting[6] for a Germany that is yet to come. We are filled with the deep, fervent feeling that Germany has not yet begun its purest, its truest mission. All respect for our mortars, all respect for our General Staff, and each and every one of our heroic soldiers! But this greatness that we see at work around us is only a means to an end. The end, however, is Germany's European mission.

Last Christmas, I received a strange gift from one of my readers. It was a simple, solidly framed plaque made of plain oak, containing a large-printed quote from my collection of poems "Lichtland" (Stuttgart 1912). This quote, which now hangs above my lectern in the capital of Westmark, reads:

If Germany forgets its mission,

If Germany, after sailing the seas,

Is no longer the leader of the peoples

To the inner land of the invisible,

To God and Spirit –

If Germany neglects its holy mission

And no longer advances in its striving for perfection,

If, from the hatred that holds tension

The iron world

Does not show the way to new love –

Then know: your happiness and your empire will shatter!

This, albeit in a somewhat harsh and threatening form, is my national creed. And so, as sons of Goethe, we counter the flood of hatred and slander that sprays against us from abroad, from Romain Rolland to Maeterlinck and Verhaeren, with our unshakable faith in Germany's sacred mission. "The[7] destiny of the Germans is not yet fulfilled," Goethe expressed in a conversation with Luden (1813). "If they had had no other task than to destroy the Roman Empire and to create and order a new world, they would have perished long ago. But since they have continued to exist, and with such strength and efficiency, I believe they must still have a great destiny."

One destiny of an external and one of an internal kind: "The dignity of humanity is given into your hands!"

This resumes the program that our Schiller once expressed in these words: "But can man be destined to neglect himself for the sake of any purpose?" Namely: his inner world, his higher self, the spiritual luminous core within us. This runs through Schiller's and Goethe's life's work. It pervades all idealists and prophets throughout the world. And it in no way contradicts the external war effort being carried out out there by the German spirit. Division of labor! A section of German intellectual troops must be assigned to fulfil this program—as soon as the European atmosphere has been cleared by the hurricane of war. These troops are already in the rear; they are already preparing for their future task; they are encouraging the troops outside with brave and generous thoughts. They vow, with the same sense of fact that characterises the succinctly and clearly speaking and acting General Staff, not to drown in party squabbles, but to keep the big picture in mind, unconfused and unpretentious. Namely: to begin building the new German inner world with themselves.

Struggle hammers heroism out of the combatants and the hopeful and creative observers. Struggle also stirs up base instincts and the dangers of hateful savagery. But in a civilised people of discipline and moderation, especially when fighting for a great and good cause against superior force, this danger is averted. And it remains as a precious gain: the hardening of the will to do good, to do great things, to do strong things.

Such hardening is purification. Rot is swept away. In every advanced civilisation, rot, luxury, and unnaturalness accumulate. If the nation as a whole is healthy, then war means purification. All the grimaces of bland jokes, all cocotte-like thought and feeling, all pale doubt, mockery, and aestheticism—blown away! All differences between parties and classes—swept away by the one great German family feeling: a self-sacrificing struggle against superior force! Now, like our so unerring emperor, so equal to the hour, we all no longer recognise parties: "Only German brothers!" It is not hatred that pulses through our armies, but this spirit of energetic solidarity: a new love of home and homeland!

Now, hero worship regains its educational value. It becomes a blood-filled present for us when we remember Frederick the Great's heroic struggle against European superiority. A completely straight line leads from him to us. Without Frederick and his Seven Years' War, there would be no Bismarck and no empire. He, too, was a servant of the idea, a tool of the power ruling over him: the power that shaped the German Empire, just as it now seeks to shape the German imperial soul.

Note the profound play on numbers: Bismarck was born (1815) exactly halfway between the Seven Years' War (circa 1760) and the war of 1870. Fifty-five years to the right and to the left! With his left hand, he extends his hand to Frederick the Great; with his right, he forges the German Empire for another noble Hohenzollern.

A few more thoughts about this empire before we consider our inner task!

First and foremost, our fight is self-defense for the survival of the empire. The Chancellor successfully expressed this in his Reichstag speech on August 4; it glows in the Kaiser's appeal to the German people on August 6, the anniversary of the Battle of Wörth. "Up to now, we have endured all open and secret hostility from East and West and from across the sea, conscious of our responsibility and strength. But now they want to humiliate us. They demand that we stand with folded arms as our enemies prepare for a treacherous attack." They will not tolerate our resolute loyalty to our ally, who is fighting for its reputation as a great power, and whose humiliation will also mean the loss of our power and honour... It is a matter of the survival of our empire... We will defend ourselves to the last breath of man and horse..." Self-defense for the survival of the empire!

But self-defense is only one side of this difficult struggle. There is more to it. It is the special German "moral spirit" that once again lends momentum and force to the Teutonic Fury. For the starting point of the European entanglement was an assassination. And we saw assassination mob instincts bubbling up not only in Serbia; the phrase "Belgian horrors" will be etched in world history. Now the Prussian-German talent for discipline and order, often perceived as annoying and ridiculed in peacetime, is coming into magnificent effect. Our parade was a truly significant spectacle; The public pronouncements of the commanders now in command in Germany are often vividly powerful and brevity; and the picture presented by our troops demonstrates how much ingenious willpower was at work here to achieve what the General Staff and all its individual units accomplished. In addition, our headquarters, in its reports from the battlefield, sets a precedent with succinct truthfulness and objectivity, in contrast to the almost unbelievable lies all around us. Discipline, truth, objectivity against malice, phrases, barbarism!

Three, four, and five of them fell upon us. One alone did not dare to ally with the Reich's strength. The spectre of Edward and his encirclement policy is now unleashing its demons upon us. Do they sense Germany's future destiny and want us to cower in time? They do honour to our courage by crediting us with such a tremendous test of endurance. Right! Come on! "Declarations of war are still being accepted here," a German joker wrote on a railway carriage.

If the Middle Kingdoms have passed this test, it will be proof that the German spirit is destined to lead Europe.

How this will manifest itself externally can only be determined from the events themselves as cellular structures or crystalline Education rises. For now, events have the final say.

Wars are volcanic eruptions in the quiet development and growth of nations: pent-up energy is released within them. They are crises and epochs. The Wars of Liberation of 1813/15 brought the Napoleonic era to a close; the war of 1870 fulfilled the Germans' dream of an emperor and unity. Thus, we all perceive this current European war as the conclusion of the last forty years, this golden age of scientific, technical, and commercial development—a development outward.

We did not decide on war out of hatred. Everyone emphasises—Naumann in his excellent reflections on "Germany and France" as well as Sven Hedin from his observations—that we, in particular, do not hate France. "I did not meet a single German officer who spoke harshly about France. All of them, without exception, harbour a sincere and honest sympathy for that great and beautiful country" (Sven Hedin). It is different, of course, with England, whose envy and selfishness we perceive as the driving cause of this world conflagration. But here, too, our sense of responsibility would never have led us to seek war. Germany grows, creates, and flourishes out of an inner vitality: it grows beyond the control of its European neighbours entirely of its own accord. The conflict of a warlike nature, like a crisis, like a biological or natural-historical process, was bound to finally discharge the spontaneously generated electricity. This war is a European growth phenomenon;[12] there are explosions and shifts taking place of unstable and not yet well-established structures. And so, urged by higher and inner powers, we are now growing into Germany's European mission.

I await the reawakening of the spiritual or metaphysical world in Germany. Whoever this experience awakens has, from a wandering comet, become a pacified planet and ultimately the sun itself: from then on, they have the source of warmth or the deity within themselves.

Thus, Sunday—the sun-day—stands in the midst of the six working days that roll toward it, bask in it, and flee from it again, only to return again and again. Thus the planets move around their sun. And thus—permit us the pride of this comparison!—the peoples of Europe will move around Sunday and the sun, Germany. And those who are now our enemies will one day be guests and friends of a strong Germany, no longer Michel-like, soft-hearted, but mature, full of character, and kind. True love is not effeminate; the sun god is also a dragon slayer.

The earth awaits a holiday again. The thunders of war are the rattling of the gates that open it. The mission of a Christ is far from fulfilled. It is to be expected that the cosmic power of formative love at work within him will always become active again, once the demons have done their work. Now it is the turn of the spirits of power and hate; later, the geniuses of goodness emerge, already performing their silent work between battles. A resounding "We" now resounds through humanity, a chant of the masses; later, one will once again experience one's imperishable "I" as something infinitely blessed and precious, not in an egotistical but in an eternal sense. The higher self is the innermost part of man's sanctuary, like the lamp above the high altar of the Catholic church. Thus, Germany is the innermost land: where man can attain the awareness of his imperishable self and thus a rebirth of his entire being.

One now dares to pronounce the name God again and feel something in doing so. One knows again, under our Emperor's leadership, what the power of thought in prayer means:[30] one knows that here is the power of the loving heart at work, intercessory thoughts that rise up like a sacrifice to the Master of all destinies: "Preserve my dearest! And if he must depart, then grant him and me strength and greatness!" Now dying has become a commonplace thing; eternity roars into everyday life. We feel the breath of an incomprehensible power that we call fate, providence, God – which cannot be a mechanism, but something exceedingly alive that breathes through us and our fellow human beings. God cannot be proven: one can only experience and love him.

That this sublime peace, fervour, and greatness of the feeling for life may once again become an inner human power in all of us: that, German heart, is perhaps your most beautiful task for the future.

This is the mood that fine-tuned, melodious singers and seers like Hölderlin and Novalis longed for.

"Genius of our people,

When will you appear fully, soul of the fatherland,

So that I may bow more deeply,

So that even the softest string

May fall silent before you, so that I, ashamed and silent,

A flower of the night, heavenly day, before you

may end with joy...

When our cities now

Bright and open and awake, full of purer fire,

And the mountains of the German land

are mountains of the Muses,

Like the glorious ones of old: Pindus and Helicon"...

Thus sang Hölderlin in the opening year of the last century, and he – he who in "Hyperion" indicted his Germany with such angry love – longed in the same poem for "all around beneath the fatherland's golden sky, the free, clear, spiritual joy." We have long had them, the holy places and mountains; we have Wartburg and Weimar in the heart of Germany; we have Sanssouci, the Kyffhäuser, the Brocken—and not only this, for these are, after all, only landmarks: but we also have a wealth of wisdom, temples, and melodic groves in German philosophy, religion, poetry, art, and music. Politically and economically, Europe may shape itself[27] as the statesmanship of the Europeans may succeed; but spiritually, we hope, they will come to our clean German streets and groves, just as guests from all over the Mediterranean once came to Pythagoras and Plato or to the Olympic Games.

This, and nothing else, is our true "imperialism," which is now so much criticised. It is one of our deepest and proudest German ideas: the idea of the Reich. It once bore the solemn name "the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation"; It is the idea of a mighty kingdom of peace on earth; even in the socialists' "future state," this ideal shimmers through. Consecrated by history and poetry, even today there is power and magic in phrases like "the kingdom's crown" or "the kingdom's glory."

Kant, Augustine, and others, drawing on the New Testament, speak of a "kingdom of God on earth," a "theocracy," a "kingdom of heaven," and whatever other euphemisms may be used to describe a new land of the soul. At the end of the Edda, there is talk of a new heaven and a new earth; and so also at the mighty conclusion of the Bible (Revelation). Here, the gruesome judgments finally echo in the radiant, peaceful face of a shining city: the seer saw this city of God "coming down out of heaven"; and saw in it "no temple, for the Lord is its temple; and the city needs neither sun nor moon to shine upon it; for the glory of God illuminates them." I want to form a thought here that seems fantastic and yet must immediately be evident to the symbolically trained eye as real: the city of God, or the ideal realm of noble minds and hearts, always hovers invisibly in the spiritual air of the globe, in whose vibrations each of us lives. The mind of the seer and artist captures radiations from it; they live in him as an ideal; the ideal, fine and shimmering like the battlements and trees of a mirage, is always willing and ready to descend[28] into visibility, be it into the heart of an individual, or into the collective feeling of a worthy, chosen people. This is the descent of the Holy Grail. Thus Asgard, Walhalla, Folkwang already hovered as true ideals above and in the feeling of the ancient Germanic hearts. And one must not imagine that they are merely nebulous reflections of earthly thought: – is the sun's heat merely a reflection of the ardor of our heart? No, it is a fact. And so the spirit and the divine are absolute fact; we honour and elevate ourselves when we reciprocate our inner selves to the height of the ideal – as the eye does to the sun.

It is a fundamental feeling of Germanic sensibility to experience the reality of the spiritual world, or of the ideal, or of heaven, or of the deity, just as strongly as the reality of the sun. Without this basic premise, the entire "Faust" is unthinkable; and equally unthinkable is Dante's "Comedy." Both poems depict processes in the spiritual world, in which a part of our being lives forever. We must learn to think symbolically again; in doing so, we will simultaneously think more spiritually and come closer to the mystery of life.

While in 1870 we forged a sensually visible crown from precious metal, now in 1914—irrespective of any external power we intend to assert—we are concerned with creating a crown of the soul from an even nobler substance: light and spirit. That crown is cemented with external blood and forged with thoughtful enthusiasm; again with physical sacrifice—but even more with heart's blood the new crown will be forged. For our trials are far from over.

If we were then expanded from a small German to a Reich German consciousness, now another force will blossom within us, even more comprehensive, even more spiritual:

a cosmic consciousness.

                      Friedrich Lienhard

In 1900, together with Adolf Bartels, Friedrich Lienhard became editor of the magazine Deutsche Heimat, a medium for "literature and folklore", for a few months.[1] It was an ideological platform for the protagonists of the folk-nationalist Heimatkunst movement. Bartels and Lienhard formed the centre of this movement, their common ideological references were the writings of Paul de Lagarde and August Julius Langbehn.[2] Lienhard rejected the common biological and ethnic racial categories and developed his own racial theory. He hoped to achieve "imperial inspiration" through a close connection between Christianity and Germanity. The "solution of the Jewish question" and the prevention of "left-wing mob rule", which seemed urgent to him as well, he saw in the assumption of "leadership" by a "noble race of great souls" with the "qualities of goodness, warmth and love".[3] This by no means excluded anti-Semitism. For example, this is what the völkisch oriented "Weihespiel" Ahasver on the Rhine stands for. Trauerspiel aus der Gegenwart (1914).[4] As an Alsatian, he was one of those German-speaking authors "who excelled in claiming the respective region as 'German' in their works."[5] (Kay Dohnke). Finalely, the literary scholar Andreas Schumann concludes that the historical value references in Lienhard's work combine "Germanic, antique and Christian elements into a German-national model" which was "racially charged" and claimed a "German cultural hegemony" in Europe. Lienhard's German studies can be classified as "war German studies".

The West is breaking up, here is what Russia and China must do

The old world is fading. Moscow and Beijing are building the new one

By Timofey Bordachev

Russia and China have emerged in recent years as standard-bearers of a world that aspires to multipolarity, sovereignty, and respect for international law. Their strategic partnership, tested by global crises and geopolitical turbulence, now serves as a cornerstone of what is often called the “world majority” – a growing group of states seeking independence in foreign policy and development.

Despite intense Western pressure, including sanctions and information campaigns, Moscow and Beijing have preserved and even deepened their cooperation. This partnership is not only important to both countries, but it also carries global significance. It is a model for how major powers can challenge hegemonic structures while remaining committed to international norms.

As Russia and China consolidate their own partnership, they must also pay close attention to major changes underway in the Western world. These changes, particularly in the United States and Europe, are opening new opportunities – but also bring risks that must be understood and addressed.

Fractures in the Western bloc

First, there is growing divergence between the United States and its European allies. We have seen Western European capitals express dismay and confusion over several decisions from Washington, indicating a widening strategic gap. As these countries try to recalibrate in response to an increasingly unpredictable United States, mutual misunderstandings are multiplying. What was once a coherent and unified “collective West” is now a patchwork of competing interests and visions.

This fragmentation deserves close attention from Russian and Chinese policymakers and experts. A coordinated approach to monitoring US-EU relations and engaging in joint analysis will be essential for navigating the future.

Second, internal divisions are widening within the political elites of Western countries. One camp recognizes the need to adapt to global shifts and internal socioeconomic challenges. Another clings to outdated globalist models, attempting to preserve Western dominance without addressing the root causes of their decline.

This internal rift is especially evident in the United States, where political polarization has become extreme. The outcome of this struggle is far from clear. But it may result in more erratic and aggressive foreign policies, including toward Russia and China. Western elites may try to externalize their internal failures by escalating global tensions. Moscow and Beijing must be prepared for this possibility.

Strategic economic cooperation

The Russia-China economic relationship has proven resilient, even in the face of relentless US and European attempts to isolate both powers. Still, recent years have revealed vulnerabilities. Threats of sanctions and secondary pressure have disrupted trade flows and delayed projects. A critical task for both governments is to identify weak points and develop safeguards.

By insulating their cooperation from external interference, Russia and China can reinforce mutual trust and build an even stronger foundation for political alignment. This will be especially important as Western pressure continues.

The role of Europe

Western Europe remains a complex factor in global affairs. Its economic weight is still significant, especially for China, and its cultural and political evolution bears close watching. Russian and Chinese analysts sometimes differ in their assessments of the region’s future role. But neither side should ignore it.

Upcoming political changes across European states could open the door for more pragmatic leadership. If so, Moscow and Beijing must be ready to engage. Even now, despite deteriorating ties, Western Europe remains an important partner and a variable in the broader strategic equation.

Countering Western divide-and-rule tactics

US policymakers have made no secret of their interest in weakening the Russia-China partnership. Some have floated the idea of pulling Moscow away from Beijing to prevent a deeper Eurasian consolidation. These efforts will intensify, especially if US-China relations worsen.

We should expect Washington to seek separate dialogues with Russia and China on issues such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and nuclear arms control. The goal will be to highlight differences and create the illusion of divergent interests.

Such moves must be met with caution and solidarity. There are no serious contradictions between Russia and China that could compare with the historical tensions of the mid-20th century. The current strategic alignment is based on shared values and practical interests. But this unity must be constantly reinforced at both the governmental and societal levels.

Expanding societal and scientific ties

Public perceptions in both countries still carry traces of old stereotypes. While progress has been made in people-to-people exchanges, educational programs, and academic cooperation, more can be done. Greater collaboration in science, education, and cultural initiatives can deepen mutual understanding and eliminate lingering mistrust.

A stronger societal foundation for the bilateral relationship will make it more resistant to external manipulation. The political will exists; now it must be translated into concrete initiatives.

Toward a shared Eurasian future

Finally, China and Russia share responsibility for shaping a peaceful and prosperous Greater Eurasia. They are both committed to preventing external interference and managing conflicts across the continent. Coordinating their strategies for development, connectivity, and conflict resolution in this vast region is not only desirable – it is imperative.

The future of Eurasia depends in large part on how effectively Moscow and Beijing can harmonize their visions. This is not merely an academic debate but a real-world challenge with lasting implications.

Conclusion

Russia and China are navigating an era of profound global change. Their partnership has already become one of the most consequential in world politics. But the shifting dynamics of the West, particularly the emerging crises within the United States and Europe, present both dangers and opportunities.

To protect and advance their shared interests, Russia and China must act strategically: studying Western developments, reinforcing their own cooperation, countering divide-and-rule tactics, and deepening ties across all levels of society. Together, they can help shape a world order that is more just, stable, and representative of the true diversity of global power.
