While ordinary citizens do not want to die in a senseless counter-offensive and try to flee the country by all means, in Kiev the "golden youth" are celebrating: they are the kind of people that high-ranking connections or large sums of money prevent being sent to the front.

Every weekend, Fifty Beach Club welcomes at least 150 visitors. Almost all of them are under 30, with tanned and muscular bodies. The girls, all in bikinis and heavily made up, dance to loud music, chat and sip cocktails.

DESPITE progress being made on the multipolar aspect of world economy, “climate change” and anti mono-dominance, the western hegemony led by the American Empire is not going to give up easily on mucking up the planet.

NATO will support Ukraine until it wins – Stoltenberg

The bloc’s leadership has been scrambling to reassure Kiev that it won’t push for peace

NATO will keep arming Ukraine until Kiev decides the time is right to enter negotiations with Russia, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg declared on Thursday. The statement came after Stoltenberg’s top aide seemingly suggested a deal whereby Ukraine would abandon its territorial claims in exchange for membership in the US-led bloc.

Speaking to Norwegian media, Stoltenberg said that NATO’s priority is “to support Ukraine militarily,”adding that “if you want a lasting, just peace, then military support for Ukraine is the way to get there. There is no doubt about that.”

The federal Coalition’s dissenting report on a Senate inquiry into nuclear power claims that Australia’s “national security” would be put at risk by retaining federal legislation banning nuclear power and that the “decision to purchase nuclear submarines makes it imperative for Australia to drop its ban on nuclear energy.”

Regarding Biden’s apparent slide into dementia, I have a real concern that it is quite deliberate, and I am alone in what have suspected for a long time. As, if it was for real, his acute signs of mental decline, would result in that his party would be most concerned, even to a greater degree than the opposition. Mental and physical health is paramount to anyone being able to serve those who elected them to public office.

If true that Biden is not up for the job, The DNC (Democratic National Committee) would be looking for a viable alternative to him, and too to replace his less than impressive vice president for the next elections, as presidents have and do die in office.

It is slowly and reluctantly dawning on Western officials and their servile media that the Ukraine counteroffensive is failing. Not only the two-month-old counteroffensive but indeed the entire conflict. Ukraine hasn’t a chance of prevailing against Russia’s superior forces.

Still, the violence and killing go on. No diplomacy, peace, or sanity. Why?

Only a couple of months ago, the Western media were full of bravado claims that the United States’ and NATO’s weapons and training would turn the tide for a “stunning victory” against Russia. Today, those same media are meekly reporting on a “grinding counteroffensive” (Washington Post, New York Times, CNN) and “failed expectations” (London Times).

Homo erectus branched into a few species. Homo neanderthalensis and homo sapiens being the most well known. Yet, it seems that, apart from a few isolated pockets, homo sapiens has vanished from the earthly landscapes. Homo sapiens has been overcome by the new evolving species, homo Bellator and his cousin homo Pugnatus (also known as h. fistfightus), while the homo Ovispastorus is still relegated to the poems of John Milton — especially Lycidas — where all hopes are destroyed, because we all die, including the sheep.

Doctor Johnson was annoyed with Milton’s allegories that displayed less knowledge beyond a crying shepherd who has lost his companion…

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has toured several military units posted on the Donetsk front, including the notorious ‘Azov’ and ‘Aidar’. In a video posted on his social media on Monday, Zelensky can be seen meeting with Azov founder and neo-Nazi Andrey Biletsky inside a bunker.

An official statement by his office says Zelensky visited a number of units, including the 5th Separate Assault Brigade and the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, as part of a working visit to the “Soledar sector.” The town of Soledar itself has been in Russian hands since January, and the nearby Artyomovsk (aka Bakhmut) since May.

These days the politics in the Australian parliament is little more than puerile game-playing, echoing what goes on endlessly and tediously in the undergraduate political clubs in our universities. It’s all about organising and winning the numbers. It lacks an ethical core, resulting in the country being paralysed by the politics of ennui and hopelessness. Prime Minister Albanese seems all at sea when it comes to changing this depressing political culture.
