Palestinian armed group Hamas launched thousands of missiles at Israel and deployed its militants to infiltrate Jewish settlements near the country’s border with Gaza on Saturday morning.

A number of people have been killed and hundreds wounded in the surprise attacks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that country was “at war” and promised Hamas retaliation they “have never known before.” Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by sending dozens of warplanes to strike targets in Gaza.

In a memorandum directed to the Secretary of State and Secretary of the Treasury, Biden proclaimed that this blockade, whose aim is to weaken Cuba’s economy by restricting trading opportunities and barring imports onto the island, was “in the national interest of the United States.”

It’s been more than a year since one of the biggest pieces of energy infrastructure in Europe was destroyed in what can only be described as a terror attack. One would imagine that no stone would be left unturned to investigate a crime of such magnitude and attribute responsibility.

The British government will ditch an “absurd” EU rule on the sale of abnormally curved bananas, Environment Secretary Therese Coffey announced during a Conservative Party conference on Monday. 

Speaking at the Tories’ annual get-together in Manchester, Coffey declared that “bent or straight, it’s not for the government to decide the shape of bananas you want to eat.” 

With a population of 1.4 million, Chinese-Australians are the largest ethnic minority community in Australia and our say has weight. From the perspective of that community, an important objective must be playing our part in seeing Australia lift its game to match world standards of acceptance of minorities and particularly of its indigenous peoples.
