As mentioned many times on this site, science was not born because scientists believed in a rational god that had created a rational universe, nor was their role, despite what Kepler said, to be "priests of the most high God" to discover the laws of this universe.

The Third World War is currently being fought. How long before it moves into its hot stage?

Washington is currently conducting economic and propaganda warfare against four members of the five bloc group of countries known as BRICS—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Brazil and South Africa are being destabilized with fabricated political scandals. Both countries are rife with Washington-financed politicians and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Washington concocts a scandal, sends its political agents into action demanding action against the government and its NGOs into the streets in protests.

There was an International conference in Moscow about fighting terrorism... Of course the usual culprits in the Western press have indulged in adding the Crimea Russian "grab" as a state sponsored terrorism while avoiding the fact that 95 per cent of this peninsula's population is RUSSIAN, and that the area had been "gifted" in good will to Ukraine by Russia about 60 years ago...

But the Russians are blaming the West for the spread of terror in the world. By this read the Russians are blaming US support terrorism by supporting the Saudis, who are fighting hard not to be involved in the 9/11 saga when 19 of the terrorists out of 21 came from Saudi Arabia. 

The release of a report on how global warming, via more CO2 in the atmosphere, has influenced a noticeable "greening of the planet" or "plant growth" in the last 30 decades is not surprising. These effects were actually predicted with reasonable precision by the "father" of the global warming science, Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius (I often call him Sven for short). 

I believe the specs got changed between the Abbott request and the Turnbull decision. Considering the Abbott Minister of canoes could not get anything build in Australia, there must have been some new instructions on the spreadsheet: build in Australia or else. Only the French managed to get across the line. Their shipyards are expert in building big things including the two Queens for Cunard. They build their own nuke subs and they build aircraft carriers for the Russians, until the F*&^%$#ing embargo imposed by the yanks...

Today was, of course, Anzac Day, where we honour our fallen and remember the feats of Australian soldiers and service personnel from Gallipoli and beyond.

No doubt you will be shocked to learn, as I was, that it is the rich who benefit overwhelmingly from negative gearing losses, and the superannuation and capital gains discount tax concessions.
