slowly, coming to realise the imperative of snail-pace sanctions……..

Before late February, Germany had been cool to US demands that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline be canceled, saying the gas it would bring to Europe was essential and dissenting from US plans to further antagonize Russia over Eastern European security issues. However, the NATO ally soon fell into line after a personal visit from US President Joe Biden.

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen praised European efforts to wean off Russian energy imports, but cautioned against the destructive effects of doing so too quickly. Her comments come as European leaders continue to debate boycotting Russian oil and gas products.

US mongrels in mongolia?...

We, Mongols and friends of Mongolia, strongly condemn Russian state-sponsored fake news about biolabs in Mongolia, allegedly set up by US and German companies. We demand to stop outrageous slanders that Mongolia’s biolabs are creating bioweapons specifically targeting Chinese people, thus impeding Mongolia’s neighborly relations with China. We strongly condemn any attempts to instigate war in Mongolia, and on Asian continent using false pretexts and propaganda. We demand to stop it immediately and to bring to responsibility any government and news agencies, politicians and private citizens spreading it.

isolating the west from multipolarity…..

The Western sanctions against Russia, decided unilaterally by Washington, are presented as a just punishment for the aggression against Ukraine. But, without mentioning their illegality under international law, everyone can see that they do not reach their target. In practice, the United States is isolating the West in the hope of maintaining its hegemony over its allies.

the balance of power…...

The federal election may hinge on a new crossbench of professional women in wealthy inner-city seats and a rural revolt against the Nationals

It will top 35 degrees today in the northern Victorian town of Stanhope, population around 800 and shrinking fast. There are signs on the community noticeboard for a protest meeting against the local council’s plans to close Stanhope’s swimming pool. There are spaces in the once crowded car park at the Fonterra dairy processing factory. The primary school, which a few years ago had about 30 students, now has 15.

The US "deposed" soekarno in 1967 and NATO destroyed yugoslavia in 1999……..

In keeping with the tradition maintained over all previous years, the Belgrade Forum for the World of Equals is marking 24 March, remembering this day back in 1999 when the NATO Alliance’s illegal and criminal aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (the FRY) began, thus paying tribute to the fallen defenders of the motherland and the killed civilians.

no justice…...

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The US Justice Department has declined Sputnik’s request for a comment regarding the London court’s decision to allow WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to be extradited to the United States.

"We decline to comment," the Justice Department said on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the UK Westminster Magistrate's Court ordered Assange to be extradited to the United States, where he is facing a possible sentence of up to 175 years in prison.

WikiLeaks Editor-in-Chief Kristinn Hrafnsson said the UK court effectively signed Assange’s death sentence. He also said Assange’s fate now is in hands of UK Home Secretary Priti Patel and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

human rights denied by UK/USA…...

A magistrates court in London has issued a formal order to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to the US to face espionage charges there, and a possible life imprisonment. Wednesday's ruling may be appealed.

The Westminster Magistrates’ Court decision reverses its previous ruling that denied the US extradition to the US based on Assange’s poor mental state and the harsh conditions in American high-security prisons. UK Home Secretary Priti Patel will need to authorize the extradition before it can be executed.

WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Kristinn Hrafnsson said the UK court was issuing a “death sentence” to Assange by passing its decision. He is facing up to 175 years in prison under the espionage charges he faces in the US indictment.

The ruling class, made up of the traditional elites that run the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, is employing draconian forms of censorship on its right-wing and left-wing critics in a desperate effort to cling to power.

The traditional elites were discredited for pushing through a series of corporate assaults on workers, from deindustrialization to trade deals. They were unable to stem rising inflation, the looming economic crisis and the ecological emergency.

They were incapable of carrying out significant social and political reform to ameliorate widespread suffering and refused to accept responsibility for two decades of military fiascos in the Middle East.

the dictator's pick…….

“We believe in the inalienable rights and freedoms of all peoples.” It is a powerful declaration and the very first words that set out the Liberal Party’s core beliefs. They should be kept in mind when examining the controversy over the Liberal candidate for the formerly blue-ribbon Liberal seat of Warringah, which was held by former prime minister Tony Abbott until his defeat by independent Zali Steggall in 2019.

Katherine Deves was a “captain’s pick”, installed early this month by a committee composed of Prime Minister Scott Morrison, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet and former party president Chris McDiven, after the NSW division failed to preselect candidates through the usual process.

the USA had run out of its own little wars…….

The White House has brushed aside concerns over a formal complaint from Russia, apparently sent to the US after Washington announced its latest $800-million package of weapons supplies to Ukraine. Press Secretary Jen Psaki appeared to call the message an “empty threat” during her Monday briefing.

Psaki was asked about the warning, in which Moscow allegedly mentioned the “unpredictable consequences” of Washington’s continued arming of Ukrainian troops with increasingly sophisticated weapons. The note was reported last week by US media.

“We’re not going to comment. I mean, I’m not going to speculate on empty threats or threats by President [Vladimir] Putin or by Russian leadership,” Psaki told journalists.

forgotten issue………………….

The Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict has become protracted, making the world a more dangerous place. On the surface, it is a military struggle between Kiev and Moscow's forces in the western and southern theaters. However, in essence, it's a total outbreak of a Cold War-esque confrontation in Eastern Europe, and it is also a full-scale counterattack by Russia against the endless strategic expansion of the US and its NATO military bloc.

Despite not formally sending troops, the US and NATO have used almost all means of mixed warfare such as financial sanctions, an information blockade, intelligence support, satellite navigation, and air and space technology to comprehensively strangle Russia.
